I didn't respond; I just silently nodded and turned to leave. My heart was filled with contradictions and turmoil, and I didn't know how to face this sudden emotional upheaval.
As the sky darkened, the four of us continued to laugh and play on the playground, fully enjoying our time together. Zhang Yun and Cheng Haifeng suddenly teamed up, trapping Shen Yulin in the middle. Despite his height of 1.75 meters, he struggled to fend off their attacks.
Seeing this scene stirred an impulse within me. I stood on my tiptoes and pressed my lips against Shen Yulin's. In that moment, it felt as if time had frozen. I could feel Shen Yulin's breath; that familiar warmth enveloped me, allowing me to immerse myself in this sweet moment and forget everything around us.
When we finally pulled apart, I felt a blush creeping onto my cheeks. I sensed Shen Yulin's body stiffen for a moment, as if my sudden action had startled him. But then, his reaction was swift and decisive; he broke free from Zhang Yun and Cheng Haifeng's grasp and turned to chase after me.
I dared not linger; I turned and ran across the playground toward the teaching building. My heart raced, a strange excitement bubbling within me, mixed with a hint of unease and tension.
Upon reaching the entrance of the teaching building, I stopped and looked around, realizing it was completely empty. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. At that moment, I felt as if I were in a quiet and secret corner, isolated from the outside world.
Suddenly, a strong hand grabbed me, as if a storm had bound me in place and swiftly dragged me into a corner. My back pressed against the cold wall, my body pinned tightly against it.
A familiar warmth approached me; his lips brushed against mine. In that instant, it felt like the entire world had come to a halt, leaving only the sound of our breaths and heartbeats.
My heart raced wildly, excitement and nervousness intertwining; I didn't know how to respond. But at that moment, all I wanted was to let everything go and fully immerse myself in this kiss, losing myself in this sweet atmosphere with him.
Eventually, we both instinctively pulled away at the same time. I felt my legs weaken slightly and leaned against the wall for support. I gently closed my eyes, trying to calm my heartbeat and regain my composure.
However, even after we separated, that warm feeling lingered on my lips, making it hard to forget. I stood there quietly, filled with gratitude and unease, unsure how to face what lay ahead.
Darkness enveloped us; I couldn't see Shen Yulin's expression, but I could sense his body trembling slightly as if he were also trying to control his emotions.
His voice was slightly hoarse as he softly said in my ear, "Xingxing, you're so bad." His words sent a jolt through me. I couldn't help but bite my lip, feeling my cheeks flush slightly from what he said.
I bit my lip and stammered, "I'm sorry; I-I didn't mean to... I also..." Before I could finish my sentence, his lips covered mine again, burying my impending apology deep within my heart. I closed my eyes completely immersed in this unexpected intimacy.
Breathing became rapid; it felt like my heart might leap out of my chest. I struggled for a moment before finally pushing him away.
