"Lord Brian, when will you be able to repay that debt?" Manager Kate's brow furrowed, her tone tinged with a hint of helplessness and urgency. His slightly overweight figure seemed somewhat uneasy in the luxurious chair.
"This is already the third month. It's only because of the Dresden family's past reputation that I am giving you this special extension," Kate's tone revealed a hint of dissatisfaction, but more of helplessness.
These days, the debtor is the one in charge, and whether or not they pay back the money depends on their mood.
Lord Brian gently rose and poured a cup of tea for Manager Kate, hoping to ease the tense atmosphere.

"Lord Brian, you promised solemnly that as long as you borrowed funds to open a factory, with the connections of The Dresden family, you would soon be able to repay the debt," Kate said with a hint of reproach in her tone.
"But the current situation..." Kate didn't finish her sentence before being interrupted by Lord Brian.
"The current situation is indeed beyond my expectations," Lord Brian said with a hint of helplessness and bitterness in his tone. He took a deep breath and began to recount his own predicament.
"Who would have thought that the people in the capital would be so cunning? In just one month, the price of the Magic machine has increased by ten percent," his voice carried a hint of anger and unwillingness.
