Wang Ming looked very uncomfortable, sweat covering his forehead. Jiang Yuan frowned, walked over, and reached out to touch Wang Ming's forehead. 0

"Don't touch me!" Wang Ming grabbed Jiang Yuan's wrist, his voice hoarse. 0

Jiang Yuan winced from the pain of Wang Ming's grip and frowned, "Wang Ming, what's wrong with you?" 0

Wang Ming remained silent, just gripping Jiang Yuan's wrist tightly. 0

After a moment of hesitation, Jiang Yuan placed her other hand on Wang Ming's forehead. It was very hot. 0

Jiang Yuan frowned, "You have a fever." 0

Wang Ming didn't respond, only stared intently at Jiang Yuan. 0

"I'll go get you some water," Jiang Yuan said as she pulled her hand away. "Wait here." 0

With that, Jiang Yuan stood up and left the bedroom. She went to the living room, boiled some water, and then went to the kitchen to find some fever-reducing medicine. 0

Jiang Yuan returned to the bedroom with the water and helped Wang Ming sit up. 0

"Wang Ming," Jiang Yuan handed him the medicine, "take this." 0

Wang Ming glanced at Jiang Yuan, took the medicine, and swallowed it. 0

Jiang Yuan watched him for a moment before asking hesitantly, "Wang Ming, do you need to go to the hospital?" 0

Wang Ming shook his head, his voice still hoarse, "A good sleep will be enough." 0

"Then I'll stay here with you," Jiang Yuan said as she placed the bowl on the bedside table. "You should sleep." 0

Wang Ming looked at Jiang Yuan but didn't say anything. 0

Jiang Yuan also avoided his gaze, pulling up a chair to sit by the bed. The room was very quiet, with only the occasional sound of firecrackers and the television from outside. 0

Jiang Yuan looked out the window, lost in thought. Wang Ming watched her, his emotions difficult to decipher. 0

That night, Jiang Yuan stayed at Wang Ming's house to take care of him. The next day, after Wang Ming's high fever subsided, Jiang Yuan finally left. 0

After the Spring Festival, Jiang Yuan returned to Beicheng to continue her studies, while Chu Yunhui had been working in Haicheng and never came back. After graduating, Jiang Yuan stayed in Beicheng and found a job as an editor at a fashion magazine. The magazine was small and primarily catered to high-end female clients. Jiang Yuan worked as a Text Editor, mainly responsible for proofreading and planning topics. 0

During her first week at work, she encountered a strange phenomenon. The towel she left on the sink kept disappearing from time to time. The towel was a light blue one that Jiang Yuan had brought from home, featuring a cute white bear print that she really liked. She would place it on the sink after every shower, but one day, it mysteriously vanished. 0

Jiang Yuan asked her colleagues if they had seen it, but they all said no. She had no choice but to buy a new one. However, the newly purchased towel also went missing. Frustrated, Jiang Yuan wondered if she was just unlucky, always buying towels in patterns that others liked. 0

On the third day, she bought another new towel, this time deliberately choosing a different pattern. Yet, as soon as she placed it on the sink, it disappeared again. Furious, Jiang Yuan decided to catch the thief and make them pay for her losses. On the fourth day, she bought yet another towel and placed it on the sink before hiding in the stairwell to wait patiently. 0

After waiting for about ten minutes, Jiang Yuan saw a figure sneak into the office and approach the sink. It was Wang Ming. He looked nervous as he glanced around before grabbing the towel from the sink and starting to wipe his sweat. 0

Jiang Yuan thought to herself, "..." Wang Ming seemed very hot; beads of sweat were forming on his forehead. He grabbed the towel and wiped himself down haphazardly before starting to unbutton his shirt. 0

Jiang Yuan squinted as she watched him. As Wang Ming unbuttoned his shirt and revealed his chest, he grabbed the towel again and began wiping his body. Suddenly, an idea flashed through Jiang Yuan's mind. She quietly approached him from behind. 0

Wang Ming was focused on wiping himself down and completely unaware of Jiang Yuan's presence. She suddenly reached out and grabbed his wrist. 0

"Ah!" Wang Ming jumped in surprise and quickly turned around to see Jiang Yuan standing there, stunned. 0

Jiang Yuan looked at him with a half-smile and asked, "On such a hot day, why aren't you using the air conditioning?" 0

Wang Ming felt a bit awkward and tried to pull his hand back. "Jiang Yuan, let go of me." 0
"It turns out you took my towel," Jiang Yuan held onto Wang Ming's wrist tightly. "I was wondering why I could never find it." 0
Wang Ming felt embarrassed. "I didn't know it was yours; I found it in the break room." 0
Jiang Yuan looked at Wang Ming and suddenly smiled. "What were you doing just now?" 0
A hint of embarrassment flashed across Wang Ming's face. He pulled his hand away forcefully, turned around, and began putting on his shirt. 0
Jiang Yuan watched Wang Ming's back, a smile forming at the corners of her mouth. 0
She walked over and lightly stepped on the top of Wang Ming's foot with her toes. 0
Wang Ming's body instantly stiffened. 0
"Wang Ming," Jiang Yuan bent down, leaned close to Wang Ming's ear, and whispered, "Were you doing that just now?" 0
Wang Ming remained silent, his ears already flushed red. 0
Seeing Wang Ming's reaction, Jiang Yuan suddenly felt a strong impulse rise within her. 0
"Wang Ming," she reached out and gently caressed Wang Ming's chest, "you still haven't answered my question." 0
Wang Ming gasped for breath, pulled Jiang Yuan towards him, and pushed her against the wall. 0
Jiang Yuan let out a muffled sound from the impact but then smiled and looked up at Wang Ming. "What's wrong? Did I catch you, and now you're angry?" 0
Wang Ming gazed at Jiang Yuan with deep black eyes. 0
Jiang Yuan looked back at him, her eyes filled with increasing amusement. 0
"Wang Ming," she reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck, "actually, I really like you too." 0
Wang Ming was taken aback for a moment but quickly reacted, lowering his head to kiss Jiang Yuan fiercely. 0
Jiang Yuan closed her eyes and responded to Wang Ming's kiss. 0
In the small break room, the atmosphere was intoxicating. 0
That night, Jiang Yuan woke up in a cold bed with cold blankets. 0
She looked around the dark room and suddenly felt a strong desire to find Wang Ming again. 0
Jiang Yuan knew that Wang Ming had an addiction to her body. 0
She also knew that Wang Ming didn't like her. 0
In truth, Jiang Yuan didn't really like Wang Ming either, but she just wanted him to remember her—something he would never forget for a lifetime. 0
A few days later, during the company's anniversary celebration, Jiang Yuan specifically took a day off to attend the event. 0

She was wearing a dress, holding a wine glass, mingling through the venue, chatting and laughing. When Feng Hongyang arrived at the venue, this was the scene he saw. 0

He frowned as he looked at the girl in the distance, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes. How did she end up here? Feng Hongyang squinted, staring at Jiang Yuan. 0

Jiang Yuan was chatting with a board member when she suddenly felt something and turned her head, only to see Feng Hongyang. Feng Hongyang looked at Jiang Yuan with an inscrutable expression. Jiang Yuan looked at Feng Hongyang, her heart racing. She didn't expect to run into him here. 0

"What are you doing here?" Feng Hongyang approached, looking at Jiang Yuan with a cold voice. Jiang Yuan looked at Feng Hongyang and forced herself to calm down. She took her work badge out of her bag and handed it to Feng Hongyang: "I'm here to help." 0

Feng Hongyang took the badge, glanced at it, and frowned: "Jin Yun sent you?" Jiang Yuan nodded: "She asked me to fill in for the etiquette team." 0

Feng Hongyang looked at Jiang Yuan and suddenly sneered: "You certainly have a wide circle of friends." Jiang Yuan chuckled awkwardly but said nothing. 0

Feng Hongyang looked at Jiang Yuan and suddenly asked: "Or are you here looking for Golden Son-in-Law?" Jiang Yuan was taken aback but quickly realized what he meant, looking at Feng Hongyang with an embarrassed expression. 0

Feng Hongyang looked at Jiang Yuan with a teasing gaze: "Then you'd better put in some effort; tonight is full of successful people." Jiang Yuan: "..." 0

Seeing Jiang Yuan's flustered expression, Feng Hongyang's mood suddenly brightened. He took a sip of his drink and turned to leave. Jiang Yuan stood there, watching Feng Hongyang's back, feeling frustrated. 0

The anniversary celebration was boring; Jiang Yuan found an excuse and slipped out secretly. She walked to the garden, sat on a bench, and stared blankly at the night sky. 0

"Are you Jiang Yuan?" A voice suddenly came from behind her. Startled, Jiang Yuan quickly stood up and turned to look at the person. 0

He is a middle-aged man wearing glasses, looking quite refined. 0
"Who are you?" Jiang Yuan does not recognize the other person. 0
"My name is Zheng Yuanzhe," the man smiles and extends his hand, "I am the founder of Zhuo Ling Capital." 0
Jiang Yuan quickly shakes his hand, "Hello, Mr. Zheng, I am Jiang Yuan." 0
Zheng Yuanzhe looks at Jiang Yuan and smiles, "I've heard Xiao Yun mention you." 0
Jiang Yuan smiles back but does not speak. 0
Zheng Yuanzhe looks at Jiang Yuan, hesitates for a moment, and asks, "Do you... know Mr. Feng?" 0
Jiang Yuan is taken aback for a moment but quickly realizes and shakes her head, "I don't know him." 0
Zheng Yuanzhe looks at Jiang Yuan, smiles again, and does not ask further. 0
After chatting with Zheng Yuanzhe for a while, Jiang Yuan returns to the venue. 0
As soon as she enters the venue, she sees Feng Hongyang standing not far away, looking at her. 0
Jiang Yuan feels a rush of panic and quickly walks over. 0
"Mr. Feng," Jiang Yuan says softly, lowering her gaze. 0
Feng Hongyang looks at Jiang Yuan with a cold expression. 0
"Jiang Yuan," he suddenly speaks in a chilling tone, "you really are something." 0
Jiang Yuan: "..." 0
Feng Hongyang stares at Jiang Yuan for a few seconds before suddenly turning and leaving. 0
Jiang Yuan stands there, watching Feng Hongyang's retreating figure, feeling helpless and wanting to cry. 0
How did she offend this ancestor again? 0
After the anniversary celebration ends, Jiang Yuan prepares to go home. Just as she steps out of the venue, she sees Feng Hongyang standing not far away, chatting with someone. 0
Jiang Yuan hesitates for a moment before walking over. 0
"Mr. Feng," Jiang Yuan calls out softly. 0
Feng Hongyang doesn't even glance at her. 0
Feeling somewhat awkward, Jiang Yuan stands there, unsure whether to leave or stay. 0
"Hongyang," someone nearby calls out, "let me introduce you; this is my junior, Jiang Yuan." 0
