"Designer Yan, you finally made it," Deng Kaiwen said with a sigh of relief upon seeing Yan Jien.
"I'm sorry, Manager Deng, for making you worry," Yan Jien replied apologetically.
"It's fine, hurry to the office; your client is still waiting for you," Deng Kaiwen waved his hand.
"Okay," Yan Jien nodded and walked toward the office.
"Designer Yan, what's wrong with you today?" Deng Kaiwen suddenly asked.
"I... I'm fine," Yan Jien said, taken aback.
"You don't look too well," Deng Kaiwen frowned.
"Oh, I didn't sleep well last night," Yan Jien explained.
"Make sure to take care of yourself," Deng Kaiwen expressed concern.
"Thank you," Yan Jien said gratefully.
"You're welcome," Deng Kaiwen smiled.
As they chatted, they arrived at the office.
"Designer Yan, you finally made it!" Tong Liya exclaimed with surprise upon seeing Yan Jien.
"I'm sorry, Tong Designer, for keeping you waiting," Yan Jien apologized.
"It's okay, I just got here myself," Tong Liya shook her head.
"Then let's get started," Yan Jien suggested.
"Sure," Tong Liya nodded.
"Tong Designer, your design style seems different from before," Yan Jien remarked as he looked at the design sketches in surprise.
"Really?" Tong Liya felt a bit guilty.
"Yes, your design has more spirit than before," Yan Jien praised.
"Thank you," Tong Liya blushed.
"However, there are some issues with the color scheme," Yan Jien pointed out.
"I'll make some adjustments," Tong Liya accepted humbly.
The two discussed for over an hour and finally finalized the design plan.
"Tong Designer, you keep an eye on things here, I'm going to buy some materials," Yan Jien instructed.
"Okay," Tong Liya nodded.
Yan Jien left the office and rode his electric bike towards the building materials market.
An hour later, Yan Jien returned to the company with the materials.
"Designer Yan, you're back!" Tong Liya exclaimed with surprise upon seeing Yan Jien.
"Yes, here are the materials. Please put them away for now; we'll use them tomorrow," Yan Jien said as he handed the materials to Tong Liya.
"Got it," Tong Liya replied, taking the materials and storing them.
"I'm heading home now," Yan Jien smiled and turned to leave.
"Designer Yan, see you tomorrow," Tong Liya waved goodbye.
As Yan Jien walked out of the company, he greeted several people along the way with a smile.
"This body has finally adapted," Yan Jien sighed in relief at the company entrance.
After half a day's adjustment, he had finally gotten used to his current body.
Although there were still many discomforts, it was much better than before.
"I wonder if that bone cancer is really gone?" Yan Jien felt a bit worried.
After all, bone cancer is not something to be taken lightly.
"Forget it, I'll go for another check-up at the hospital tomorrow," Yan Jien shook his head, deciding not to dwell on it any longer.
"I'm so hungry," Yan Jien rubbed his stomach, feeling uncomfortable.
He hadn't eaten lunch and it was already past five in the afternoon; he was starving.
"I wonder if I can still eat now?" Yan Jien suddenly thought of a serious issue.
Although he had adapted to his body, if he ate like he did last night, it might still cause problems.
"Let's give it a try," Yan Jien resolved.
He arrived at a restaurant, ordered several dishes, and began to eat heartily.
"Wow, this tastes much better than last night," Yan Jien said with surprise.
Although there was still a slight odd taste, it was already much improved compared to last night.
"It seems this body has really adapted," Yan Jien sighed with relief.
After eating for a while, Yan Jien noticed a problem. His appetite had actually decreased! Previously, he could eat more than ten bowls of rice in one sitting, but now he felt full after just four bowls.
"It seems there's still something off about this body," Yan Jien frowned. Although his food intake had reduced, he was still somewhat worried.
"I need to pay attention to my diet and not eat too much," Yan Jien reminded himself.
After finishing his meal, Yan Jien returned to his rented apartment.
"There's nothing much to do now; let's see just how strong this body really is," Yan Jien felt a surge of excitement. He had never had the chance to test it at work, but now that he was back in his apartment, he could finally experiment.
"Let's start with hearing," Yan Jien focused his mind and activated his hearing. Instantly, various sounds flooded into his ears.
"Is it really this strong?" Yan Jien was taken aback. His hearing was incredibly powerful.
"It seems this hearing is also related to concentration," Yan Jien realized that when he focused his attention, his hearing would enhance.
"I wonder if I can also activate my sense of smell?" Yan Jien thought for a moment and then activated his sense of smell. Instantly, a variety of scents wafted towards him.
"Can I really manage both?" Yan Jien was astonished. He could activate both his hearing and sense of smell simultaneously without any conflict.
"It seems this body holds many secrets," Yan Jien felt a thrill of excitement.
"Let's try the night vision ability next." Yan Jien concentrated and activated his night vision. Instantly, the entire room became bright.
"Huh? Why has this night vision ability weakened?" Yan Jien looked puzzled. Although it was evening and the room was relatively dark, he expected his night vision to remain unaffected.
"Is it because the light is too dim?" Yan Jien speculated.
"Let's try the self-healing ability again." Yan Jien took out a fruit knife and cut his finger.
Watching the wound heal rapidly, Yan Jien felt completely at ease.
"It seems that this self-healing ability and night vision haven't disappeared; they just need concentration to activate," Yan Jien concluded.
"Although this night vision and self-healing ability are powerful, they cannot be activated simultaneously," Yan Jien said with some regret.
"Let's try other abilities." Yan Jien experimented again.
Unfortunately, after trying for a long time, he couldn't discover any other abilities.
"It seems this body doesn't have any special abilities," Yan Jien said, feeling a bit disappointed.
"Forget it, I'll sleep a bit more." Yan Jien glanced at the time; it was only eight in the evening, so he lay down in bed, preparing to sleep again.
"I'll go to the hospital tomorrow for a check-up to see if the bone cancer is really gone," Yan Jien silently decided.
If he could cure the bone cancer, he would be grateful.
If not, then he could only wait for death.
Lost in thought, Yan Jien fell into a deep sleep.
In a daze, Yan Jien had a dream.
In the dream, he transformed into a wolf, a wolf towering several dozen meters high!
He opened his massive jaws and swallowed a cow whole in one bite.
"Ah!" Yan Jien screamed and suddenly woke up.
"It was just a dream." Yan Jien wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and sighed in relief.
"Why can't I fall asleep?" Yan Jien felt somewhat irritated.
He had already slept for over ten hours; logically, he should have had enough rest, yet he couldn't sleep.
"I really want to vent!" Yan Jien clenched his fists, trembling all over.
A wave of inexplicable restlessness surged within him.
"What is happening to me?" Yan Jien looked terrified.
"Calm down!" Yan Jien took a deep breath, trying to soothe himself.
Unfortunately, he couldn't calm down at all.
"Right, let's do some push-ups!" Yan Jien suddenly thought of a way to vent his frustration.
So, Yan Jien got out of bed and started doing push-ups.
One!
Five!
Ten!
...
Fifty!
Yan Jien did fifty push-ups in one go before stopping.
"I can't believe my body is this strong!" Yan Jien exclaimed in shock.
He remembered that before, he could only manage twenty push-ups at most.
Now he had done fifty in one breath; it was simply unbelievable.
"It seems this body has really changed," Yan Jien sighed.
"What on earth is going on?" Yan Jien looked puzzled.
After thinking for a long time, he still couldn't figure it out.
"Forget it, I'll keep going!" Yan Jien shook his head and continued doing push-ups.
He lost track of how many sets he did, but finally, that restless feeling disappeared.
"That was close!" Yan Jien collapsed on the ground, gasping for breath.
The feeling he had just experienced was truly terrifying.
"Although this body is powerful, it seems like there's a problem," Yan Jien frowned.
His body was strong, but it felt uncontrollable.
What if he went berserk and attacked someone?
Thinking of this made Yan Jien feel a chill run down his spine.
