The salesperson followed us while introducing the products, but his eyes kept lingering on Shen Yulin. I found it amusing and secretly glanced at Shen Yulin, whose expression remained cold, completely ignoring the salesperson's gaze.
On the salesperson's recommendation, I picked out two maternity dresses and headed into the fitting room. Shen Yulin sat on the sofa waiting, and the salesperson approached him, blushing, offering a cup of water. "Handsome, would you like to have some water?" Shen Yulin did not respond and continued looking down at his phone. The salesperson, undeterred, added, "Handsome, can I add you on WeChat? That way, whenever we have new arrivals, you can show them to your partner."
Still no response from Shen Yulin; he kept his head down, but his expression grew increasingly dark. I stepped out of the fitting room in the first dress and saw the salesperson standing very close to Shen Yulin, almost leaning against him. Upon noticing me, Shen Yulin turned his gloomy face toward the salesperson and coldly said, "Get lost."
The salesperson trembled and awkwardly stepped back a few paces. Shen Yulin then turned to me with a gentle smile and said, "This one looks good; why not try the other one?" I playfully shot him a glance and turned back into the fitting room.
After changing back into my own dress, I found that Shen Yulin had already paid. The salesperson managed a shaky smile as he watched us leave.
Standing on the escalator, I gently poked Shen Yulin in the waist with my finger and smiled teasingly as I whispered, "You’re like a cruel gardener; a beautiful peach blossom just plucked away by you." Hearing this, he suddenly reached out, firmly grasped my hand, and gently pulled it to his lips for a soft kiss.
Then he looked at me with affectionate eyes and said earnestly, "My dear, I am entirely yours. In my heart, there is no room for other blossoms." I shot him an annoyed glare and said somewhat displeased, "This is a public place; can you be a bit more serious?" However, he seemed unfazed by those around us and continued to gaze at me lovingly while smiling as he replied, "As long as I'm with you, I can't help but be unrestrained."
At that moment, Shen Yulin's adoring gaze felt like warm sunlight gently falling upon me. My cheeks instantly flushed like ripe apples, so I quickly turned my head away to avoid meeting his eyes.
The cinema in the mall was filled with modernity and technological flair. As soon as we entered the lobby, we saw a huge screen playing trailers for the latest movies amidst bright lights and simple decor. Various snacks and drinks were available for sale; Shen Yulin bought a box of popcorn and two cups of orange juice. He handed me the popcorn while wrapping an arm around me as we walked into the theater.
Inside the theater was spacious and comfortable with soft seats; both picture quality and sound were excellent. We were watching a romantic film titled "The Most Recent Lies." The main characters went through ups and downs due to some well-intentioned lies. Suddenly feeling empathetic, tears filled my eyes as I turned to look at Shen Yulin. To my surprise, he was staring at me; in the darkness, there seemed to be a light in his eyes that made my heart flutter uncontrollably.
"Star..." he whispered softly with a deep and gentle voice that felt like a call from deep within his heart. He reached out his hand and carefully caressed my cheek; his fingers brushed against my skin, sending shivers down my spine. Feeling his touch made tears slip down my cheeks once again.
