Waking up again, I felt a slight sting in my chest. Rubbing my eyes, I realized I was lying naked in Shen Yulin's arms, while Tang Tang was nursing. I squirmed uncomfortably, and Shen Yulin chuckled, "Awake? Don't move around; the baby is drinking."
"Why are you holding me like this? It's quite embarrassing," I said awkwardly.
"It's not like you haven't been seen before," Shen Yulin teased, looking at me playfully.
My father and aunt stared in shock at the dishes we had brought, their mouths agape, unable to utter a single word. The amount of food was astonishing, piled high on the table like a small mountain. Their eyes were wide with disbelief, and they unconsciously swallowed hard, clearly stunned by the sight before them.
My father looked skeptical, stammering as he pointed at the food on the table, questioning Shen Yulin, "Did your grandparents really grow all of this?" Shen Yulin wiped the sweat from his forehead and found the two of them so astonished it was amusing. He couldn't help but smile and replied, "Yes." My aunt still wore an expression of disbelief, shaking her head and murmuring, "No way! I've been to my grandparents' house before, but I've never seen this much food!"
Hearing this, Shen Yulin pulled me tightly into his embrace and defiantly raised his chin toward my aunt with a proud look on his face. "How could it be the same? You know what kind of person my brother is; Sister-in-law, you should be aware! Just got married; of course, the two elders have to show their appreciation!" Upon hearing this, my father and aunt exchanged glances and saw a hint of helplessness in each other's eyes. My father cleared his throat to break the brief silence.
"Alright, alright! Don't you both need to go to your new home? Hurry up; driving takes some time," he said with a broad smile.
"Yes, yes! We know, Dad! Once it's renovated, I'll definitely take you over to see it," Shen Yulin replied. He then turned to me with tenderness in his eyes and softly said, "Wife, let's go."
Hearing him call me that in front of my father made my cheeks flush instantly; I shyly nodded in response.
On our way to the new house, we were still driven by the chauffeur while Shen Yulin sat with us in the back seat. Tang Tang seemed particularly lively at that moment. Shen Yulin held her in his arms as they enjoyed the scenery outside together. The little one babbled away in words we couldn't understand, but her excited expression showed her curiosity and joy about everything around her.
As the car slowly navigated through the winding forest path, the surrounding noise gradually faded away, replaced by tranquility and peace. A striking cluster of villas came into view, standing gracefully among the trees like artworks of nature.
Each villa had its unique design and style—some were simple yet elegant while others were grandiose—but all exuded an air of nobility and grace. They blended seamlessly into their surroundings, complementing the lush greenery and fragrant flowers of nature. At the entrance of the villa community stood an imposing gate adorned with four powerful characters—"Loushan Scenic Garden." These characters danced elegantly like dragons and phoenixes, conveying a sense of grandeur and dominance. The entire Loushan Scenic Garden felt like a paradise away from the hustle and bustle of city life, bringing joy and relaxation to anyone who entered.
