Shen Xi spent a significant amount of money to purchase professional photography equipment and set up a live streaming room for her Online Store. Her parents, in support of her efforts, spared no effort to help her. They even appeared in the live stream several times to increase exposure.
However, Shen Xi's hard work did not yield any returns. Her live stream had very few viewers, and the content was dull and uninteresting. During a family gathering a week later, I proposed my plan. "Live streaming is very popular right now, but it's hard to attract fans just by streaming," I said slowly. "Shen Xi, you could do a live stream showcasing your real family life."
Upon hearing my suggestion, Shen Xi paused for a moment, a look of confusion on her face. "Think about it; fans must be very curious about what your life is like," I continued to encourage her. "If you can let them see it, they will definitely pay more attention to you."
After thinking it over, Shen Xi eventually nodded in agreement. Thus, a live stream began that evening.
At the start of the stream, Shen Xi was impeccably dressed, sitting in front of the camera and greeting her fans. Meanwhile, her parents appeared somewhat tired in the background.
"Today, I'm going to give you all a tour of my home so you can get to know me better," Shen Xi smiled and said. "Actually, my family life is very warm, and my parents get along well..."
As Shen Xi was introducing her home, the background behind her started to become messy. Various items were scattered everywhere, and her parents' expressions grew increasingly impatient.
"Xiao Xi, didn't you say you were going to live stream? Why is it still not done?" her mother asked with a frown and an annoyed expression.
Shen Xi awkwardly smiled and explained, "Almost done, almost done! Mom and Dad, please don't rush."
Just then, the live stream suddenly flickered before the entire screen went black. Shen Xi was startled and quickly tried to fix the issue to restore the stream. However, no matter what she did, the screen remained pitch black. The fans in the live stream erupted with questions in the chat about what was happening.
At that moment, the live stream suddenly resumed, but the scene had completely changed. The camera had been turned around at some point, now facing the hallway. At the end of the hallway was a messy room. The room was cluttered with various items, and the bed was a complete mess. Her parents sat on the sofa, looking exhausted and dazed.
This scene was directly presented to all the fans. The fans immediately erupted in comments, mocking the situation.
"What? Is this your home? It's so messy!"
"Seriously, you claim to have a warm life? This is not warmth; this is just dirty and chaotic!"
"You guys are so hypocritical. No wonder your Online Store sells things so expensively; it turns out they're just junk!"
Seeing the comments in the chat, Shen Xi panicked. She rushed to the camera and began to explain, "It's not like this; everyone, let me explain..." However, her explanations sounded so weak and futile that the fans couldn't care less.
In the end, Shen Xi helplessly slumped to the ground, her face filled with defeat. Meanwhile, her parents were furious upon learning about this incident.
"What are you doing? Do you know you're embarrassing our family?" her mother shouted angrily, pointing at Shen Xi.
Her father was so enraged he was shaking, "You really... have brought shame to our family!"
At that moment, Shen Xi no longer had her usual arrogance; she silently lowered her head and didn't dare to say another word. She had lost her family's support and no longer had her previous confidence.
As for the unexpected incident during the live stream, it was all my doing. I had long known that Shen Xi's streaming career wouldn't last long, so I had hired a hacker in advance to infiltrate her live stream room. This live stream accident completely destroyed her career.
Although this incident did not lead to a family collapse, it weakened their unity. At least until Shen Xi lost her usefulness, they would no longer be as harmonious as before.
Thinking of this, I couldn't help but let out a cold laugh.
