I sat on the Plaintiff's Stand, surrounded by the noise of lawyers arguing, as lively as a marketplace. Across from me sat the pair—a man and a woman—my husband and his new lover, their eyes filled with smugness. The judge cleared his throat and looked at me, his tone serious: "Plaintiff, do you understand the trial process? Are you aware of the possible consequences?" 0

My heart tightened. If my husband were found guilty today and we hadn't divorced yet, what would my future hold? He sat there, his gaze full of disdain. He had hired the best lawyer, clearly determined to win. 0

"I don't understand," I silently pondered. "I've treated you so well; why are you doing this to me?" Without me, could he have achieved what he has today? When I married him, my parents entrusted their company to him. Now, he wouldn't even spare my parents' assets. 0

I had questioned more than once whether he pursued me just for these reasons. Taking a deep breath, I lifted my head with determination: "Your Honor, we can begin." 0

The judge turned to the Defendant's Stand but before he could speak, the woman interrupted sharply: "She's just a Depressed Patient; do you really believe her?" 0

My husband viciously chimed in: "Let's get this trial started; we have nothing to discuss with a Depressed Patient." 0

Unable to hold back any longer, I stood up and calmly said: "Your Honor, I do indeed have Depression, but that does not impair my ability to distinguish right from wrong." 0

I pointed at the Defendant's Stand: "My husband not only betrayed me but also sent me to a mental hospital in an attempt to cover up his crimes." I looked at the Mistress; a flicker of panic crossed her eyes as I continued: "And this woman not only seduced my husband but also participated in my torment; she is the mastermind behind all of this." 0

The courtroom fell silent, all eyes focused on us. The Defendant's Lawyer stood up to begin his defense: "Your Honor, esteemed members of the Jury, what we are discussing here is not merely a family dispute but also complex emotional and psychological issues." 0

He turned to me, his gaze sharp: 0
"Plaintiff, depression can affect judgment. We understand your pain, but that cannot be a reason for the accusations." 0
He raised a document: 0
"We have evidence that you have self-harmed multiple times in the psychiatric hospital, that you have not rested all night, and that you caused a commotion in the ward late at night. Isn't that a symptom of depression?" 0
My lawyer stood up and countered: 0
"Your Honor, this is a serious case of domestic violence and psychological abuse." 0
He turned to the Defendant's Lawyer with a dismissive tone: 0
"You are using depression to confuse the issue, but we have hospital records, witness testimonies, and recordings that prove the Defendant's guilt." 0
He turned to my husband, his tone sharp: 0
"Defendant, you not only betrayed your marriage but also attempted to control and torment your wife. Your actions have crossed the boundaries of morality and law." 0
The atmosphere in the courtroom was tense to the extreme, with everyone waiting for the judge's response. 0
I stood up: 0
"Your Honor, I request to present new evidence proving that my husband not only subjected me to psychological abuse but also attempted to illegally control my parents' assets." 0
