The next day, Lin Wan got up early and went to the Bamboo Sea with Chen Wu. The Bamboo Sea is a distinctive attraction in the area, with the entire mountain covered in lush green bamboo, creating a beautiful scene. Lin Wan wore a white long dress and sunglasses, walking through the bamboo forest, leaving behind a lovely silhouette. Chen Wu held his phone, taking pictures of her.
Lin Wan didn't have high hopes for Chen Wu's photography skills since he didn't particularly enjoy taking photos and she rarely saw pictures of him. However, the results surprised her; he not only captured her beauty but also the vibrant greenery of the bamboo.
"I didn't expect you to be such a good photographer," Lin Wan complimented.
"I excel at everything I do," Chen Wu replied with a smile.
"You're so confident?" Lin Wan laughed.
"Of course," Chen Wu nodded.
The two continued walking and encountered many tourists along the way—some were taking photos, others were recording videos, and some were sketching or painting. As they walked, a woman approached them and called out, "Hey, young lady and young man, could you help us take a picture?"
"Sure," Lin Wan readily agreed.
The woman was on vacation with her family; she had two children who were currently in college, and they had specifically chosen the Bamboo Sea for their family trip. Lin Wan took several family photos for them, and the woman was very satisfied, repeatedly thanking her.
"Young lady, why aren't you two taking pictures together?" the woman asked enthusiastically.
"We..." Lin Wan was about to explain when the woman interrupted her.
"Come on, let me take a picture of you," she said as she took Lin Wan's phone.
"No need, ma'am, we can take our own pictures," Lin Wan quickly replied.
"It's no fun to take your own pictures; let me help you," the woman insisted warmly.
Unable to refuse the woman's enthusiasm, Lin Wan had no choice but to stand with Chen Wu among the bamboo while the woman took their photo.
The older sister was very professional, directing Chen Wu and Lin Wan to get a little closer and more intimate. Lin Wan felt a bit nervous since she wasn't very familiar with Chen Wu, so she was somewhat reserved. However, Chen Wu gently wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer to him. Lin Wan's body stiffened for a moment as she looked up at Chen Wu. He was also looking at her, his gaze gentle. Lin Wan's heart suddenly raced, filled with an inexplicable tension and anticipation.
"Alright, how does it look?" the older sister said as she walked over with her phone, handing it to Lin Wan. Lin Wan took the phone and browsed through the photos; the older sister had taken great shots of them together, looking like a loving couple. "They look really good," Lin Wan exclaimed.
"That's because you both are good-looking," the older sister replied with a smile.
"Thank you, older sister," Lin Wan said gratefully.
"You're welcome," the older sister waved her hand and left with her family. Lin Wan continued to scroll through the photos, feeling a sweet sensation in her heart.
Suddenly, Chen Wu's phone rang. He picked it up to take a look, and his expression changed slightly.
"What’s wrong?" Lin Wan asked.
"Nothing," Chen Wu shook his head and quickly put away his phone.
Lin Wan found it a bit strange but didn’t press further. "When will you send me the photos?" she asked.
"In a couple of days," Chen Wu replied.
"Why in a couple of days?" Lin Wan questioned, puzzled.
"I need to choose some first," Chen Wu said.
"..." Lin Wan was somewhat speechless. Choose what? She wasn't an influencer who needed perfectly edited photos.
Back at the hotel, Lin Wan couldn't wait to share the photos with her parents and her best friend Zhou Wen.
Mom: Wow, my Xiao Yuan is really beautiful.
Dad: That guy in the back is pretty handsome too.
Zhou Wen: Damn, when did you go to the Bamboo Sea? Why didn't you call me?
Lin Wan replied to Zhou Wen while drinking yogurt.
I told you the day before yesterday, but you were on a business trip with the director.
Damn, I forgot.
Are you getting old?
Get lost, I'm in my prime.
Lin Wan smiled and continued scrolling through her social media.
She really wanted to see Chen Wu's posts, but Chen Wu never let her see them, which made her a bit unhappy.
She felt that she and Chen Wu were already friends, but Chen Wu seemed to be holding back from her.
Lin Wan lay in bed, feeling a bit uncomfortable.
She decided to go find Chen Wu to get their group photo.
Lin Wan arrived at Chen Wu's room and knocked on the door.
