Chapter 0001: Vicious Female Antagonist
When Chen Sisi's mother returned home today, she told her that she had found a job for her. She would go to a wealthy family's house to spend a month with their autistic son for 500,000 yuan, and if the son spoke, the amount would double.
"Mom, how did you find this job?"
"Our former neighbor. You should tidy up tonight; someone will come to pick you up tomorrow."
Before even starting the job, Chen Sisi was already thinking about how to spend the 500,000 yuan. She didn't fall asleep until after one o'clock and had a strange dream.
In her dream, she arrived at the the Shen Family and discovered that Shen Jin'an couldn't speak. She began to bully him in various ways. Whenever something upset her, she would take it out on him. For example, after being scolded by her dance instructor that day, Chen Sisi went home and treated Shen Jin'an as if he were her dance teacher, hitting and scolding him.
A month passed, and Shen Jin'an still wouldn't speak. Mother Shen gave Chen Sisi 500,000 yuan and let her leave. Later, Mother Shen unexpectedly met Liu Qianqian, and gradually, Shen Jin'an became willing to speak, but only with Liu Qianqian. Mother Shen encouraged Liu Qianqian to interact more with Shen Jin'an while searching for doctors for him. Eventually, Shen Jin'an became just like a normal person.
However, the first thing he did after becoming normal was to use the power of the the Shen Family to find Chen Sisi. After tormenting her in various ways, he ultimately killed her and then embraced Liu Qianqian to live a happy life.
Chen Sisi woke up at six in the morning, startled by this dream, drenched in sweat. She felt it was just her nerves making her dream of a demon. She took a shower in the bathroom and changed into a white long dress.
After being taken to the the Shen Family, Mother Shen briefly reminisced with Chen Sisi before talking about Shen Jin'an.
" Jinan doesn't talk much; he likes to spend his days painting in the studio. If you can get him to speak within a month, the amount will double."
Mother Shen stopped at the door of the studio, and Chen Sisi understood what she meant and walked in alone.
When Chen Sisi entered the studio, she was slightly shocked by what she saw. She had expected an autistic person's studio to be particularly dark.
Shen Jin'an's studio was separated from the garden by only a layer of glass; sunlight streamed through the glass onto Shen Jin'an. Just his silhouette was enough to captivate anyone.
Chen Sisi walked over to Shen Jin'an and said, "Hello, I'm Chen Sisi. Starting today, I will bully you for a month—no, I mean accompany you for a month."
Upon hearing her voice, Shen Jin'an didn't even blink and continued painting.
Chen Sisi directly grabbed his chin to make him look at her.
"That's quite rude of you."
When she saw Shen Jin'an's face, a flicker of fear crossed Chen Sisi's expression—just a flicker. After all, she was the Vicious Female Antagonist; she wasn't afraid of death at all.
It seemed that what I dreamed might be true; he really could kill me. But so what? The one being bullied now would only be him.
"You should say hello to me. My name is Shen Jin'an," she said, extending her hand for a handshake.
Chen Sisi smiled and took Shen Jin'an's hand directly.
Shen Jin'an looked at Chen Sisi with a frown, clearly unhappy, as if his expression was saying she had interrupted his painting.
"Do you dislike me? Too bad you can't say it," Chen Sisi teased, meeting Shen Jin'an's gaze with a playful challenge.
Suddenly releasing Shen Jin'an's hand, she added, "Don't go telling your mom, though I know you can't talk."
What Chen Sisi didn't know was that someone had taught Shen Jin'an for a long time, just enough for him to learn a few words.
Ignoring Chen Sisi, he continued his work while she began to look around the studio.
In her dreams, Chen Sisi had taken Shen Jin'an's paintings to sell in upscale places, earning a high reward.
In those dreams, she lived comfortably off that money; if only she hadn't forgotten her phone, Shen Jin'an might not have been able to catch her.
The paintings still needed to be sold, and then she could take it easy afterward.
Every day after dance practice, Chen Sisi would return to the the Shen Family to keep Shen Jin'an company while he painted. Later on, Mother Shen arranged for Chen Sisi to have a dance teacher so she could spend more time with Shen Jin'an at home.
After finishing her dance practice and nearly unable to stand from exhaustion, Chen Sisi entered the studio where Shen Jin'an was sitting and painting. Looking around, she noticed there were no other chairs except the one he occupied.
She walked over and sat on Shen Jin'an's lap. He looked at her in surprise, but she seemed unfazed by his reaction.
Shen Jin'an was at least six feet tall while Chen Sisi was only about five feet three; sitting on his lap didn't obstruct his view of the painting at all.
As she sat there playing on her phone, Shen Jin'an suddenly said, "Annoying."
His unexpected words startled Chen Sisi; she had thought he couldn't speak at all.
"What do you find annoying?"
"Annoying."
At this moment, that was the only word he could say. Chen Sisi pinched his chin to force him to look down at her.
"I haven't bullied you; it's not my fault there's no place to sit since you're occupying the chair. Where else should I sit if not on your lap?"
Shen Jin'an didn't know how to respond, so Chen Sisi went back to her phone.
Opening her messages, she found a video sent by her previous dance partner who had pursued her before but whom she had rejected because he wasn't her type.
The video was one of a boy and a girl making love. Chen Sisi fell silent for a moment, forgetting to pause it. The video was long, but she managed to watch it all. She hadn't intended to watch it, but later recognized the girl; she was an old friend. If she remembered correctly, she had talked to that girl about her dance partner.
