He draped the cloak over me and took my hand, turning to leave. 0
Qin Guang roared angrily behind me, "Ni Xin!" 0
I paused for a moment and glanced back. 0
Qin Guang pointed at me and then at Wang An, "If you go with him today, it's over for us!" 0
Li Lin hurriedly stepped forward and grabbed Wang An's hand, "Brother Wang An, I know you feel sorry for her, but she's Qin Guang's fiancée! You promised to take me flower picking." 0
I chuckled softly, and before I could speak, Wang An coldly interjected, "I'm not familiar with Miss Qin, so please don't drag me into this." 0
After saying that, he looked down at me, "Let's go." 0
I nodded and let him lead me away without looking back. 0
I could vaguely hear Li Lin shouting angrily behind us, "Wang An!" 0
I turned to glance back; Li Lin was glaring at the backs of me and Wang An with a look of resentment and fury. 0
I smiled and said to Wang An, "You don't seem very familiar with Miss Qin." 0
Wang An lowered his gaze at me, "Stop messing around." 0
I shrugged, "But she just said you were good friends." 0
Wang An frowned slightly, "She's talking nonsense; don't believe her." 0
"Oh," I nodded and deliberately raised my voice, "I definitely don't believe her; I believe you." 0
After saying that, I looked back again, and Li Lin's expression darkened even more. 0
Qin Guang looked as if he had been struck by lightning. 0
He gritted his teeth and completely tore off his gentle facade, "Ni Xin, if you dare to walk out that door today, we'll sever all ties forever!" 0
"Alright," I smiled slyly, "Remember what you said." 0
With that, I turned and ran toward Wang An, throwing myself into his arms. 0
Wang An smiled as he caught me. 0
Holding hands, we walked away while whispering to each other, the soft laughter reaching the ears of the frustrated people behind us. 0
The continuous rainy weather for half a month had made me particularly irritable. 0

I put the sixth letter from Qin Guang, along with the previous five unopened ones, into the drawer. I guessed he wanted to discuss restoring our engagement. After thinking for a moment, I pulled his letter out again to see what kind of nonsense he was up to. 0

In the letter, Qin Guang asked if we could meet to talk about restoring our engagement. I replied with a brief two-word response—"Content," asking him to reveal what he wanted to discuss first. Upon learning that it was indeed about restoring our engagement, I tore up the letter immediately. 0

However, my neighbor informed me that Qin Guang was standing outside my yard, refusing to leave and insisting on seeing me no matter what. It was drizzling lightly outside, and Qin Guang was holding an open umbrella, not using it for shelter from the rain. I thought his pitiful and sorrowful demeanor was just a ploy to gain sympathy from the neighbors and force me to go out and meet him; it was truly disgusting. 0

Qin Guang did not understand how to cherish those in front of him. The reason he wanted to restore our engagement was simply because he couldn't accept losing it. Nevertheless, I still stepped outside. The moment I saw Qin Guang, I was somewhat surprised. He was wearing very ordinary coarse clothes, his hair was a bit messy, and there were bruises on his face as if he had just been in a fight. 0

"Did you get into a fight?" I frowned slightly. 0

Qin Guang nodded. 0

I pressed my lips together, "I know what you want to talk about, but Qin Guang, there’s no possibility for us anymore." 0

Qin Guang bit his lip tightly, "I... I know I've wronged you, but can you forgive me this once? I really realize my mistakes." 0

"Realize your mistakes?" I let out a light laugh, "Qin Guang, this is actually your true nature, isn't it?" 0

Qin Guang was taken aback. "What do you mean?" 0

"I've said it before, you simply don't know how to cherish the person in front of you. It's only when you can't attain something that you think it's good." 0

I looked at him, my tone calm. "So even if I truly forgave you, your kindness towards me would only stem from not cherishing what you have, regretting after losing it. This is not your true intention; it's merely a reflection of your inherent flaws." 0

"If you had given me the same response and sense of security from the beginning, our relationship wouldn't have become so awkward." 0

Qin Guang shook his head. "It's not like that..." 0
