The face of the Xu Jiachen was getting closer. His warm breath brushed against my face. I closed my eyes, waiting for his kiss. 0

"Click—" A sudden sound pierced through the moment. I opened my eyes to find that the Xu Jiachen had stepped back. He looked at me, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth, "You looked really beautiful just now." My cheeks flushed, and I dared not meet his gaze. 0

The boss approached, "That performance was truly amazing! I watched the whole thing from the side and was really moved by you both!" 0

"This young lady, your performance was outstanding!" I felt a bit shy from the praise and replied, "Thank you..." 0

The Xu Jiachen looked at me and smiled, "Your performance was indeed great." 0

When the script games ended, it suddenly started pouring outside. I watched as the rain soaked the Xu Jiachen, feeling a pang of concern. 0

"You didn't bring an umbrella, did you?" He nodded. 0

"Then let me drive you home." He nodded again, "Okay." We walked together to the parking lot. 0

Once in the car, he sneezed. "You're all wet; you might catch a cold." 0

"Let's go to my place for a hot shower," I suggested. He quickly agreed, "Sure." 0

He seemed like the type who takes time to warm up but once comfortable, he opens up easily. As I drove, he suddenly said, "Let me sing you a song." 0

"Sure!" 0

Without any accompaniment, he began to sing a demo without lyrics. The melody was lovely, and I couldn't help but hum along a few lines. 0

He looked at me in surprise and said, "You understand music too?" 0
"I can hum a little, but I have no sense of pitch." 0
He smiled at me and replied, "You're being modest; you sing very well." 0
I felt a bit embarrassed under his gaze and quickly changed the subject, "Where do you live?" 0
" Huating Yayuan." 0
I was taken aback. 0
That was a well-known wealthy area in the city. 0
Could he be some rich second-generation kid? 0
When we arrived at my house, he looked at the place in surprise and said, "Your house is so big." 0
"It's not that big." 0
I handed him a towel and said, "You can take a hot shower while I make some ginger tea." 0
In front of me, he took off his shirt. 0
I quickly turned my head away. 0
He suddenly asked me, "Do you want to join me?" 0
I felt extremely awkward and replied, "No, it's fine..." 0
The sound of water came from the bathroom. 0
I stared blankly at the television, but my eyes kept drifting toward the bathroom. 0
After twenty minutes, he came out wrapped in a towel. 0
There were still droplets of water on his body. 0
His hair was wet and dripping as well. 0
He looked at me with a smile at the corner of his mouth and asked, "What are you looking at?" 0
I shifted my gaze away and said, "Nothing." 0
He sat down beside me, and the faint scent of wood from him made me feel a bit dizzy. 0
"What time is it now?" 0
I picked up my phone to check, "It's eleven o'clock." 0
"It's already so late?" 0
I looked at him and said, "Hurry up and dry off; I'll take you home." 0
He looked at me and replied, "The heavy rain outside has just stopped; do you think I can go back now?" 0
I paused for a moment. 0
Oh right, it was still raining outside. 0

Although it wasn't as big as before, it was still not suitable for driving. 0

I hesitated and asked, "So... are you staying here tonight?" 0

He nodded, "It seems that's the only option." 0

I felt a mix of emotions. 0

In the dead of night, leaving a man I had just met not long ago in my home was a first for me. 0

I was nervous. 0

Both excited and scared. 0

As if sensing my unease, Xu Jiachen took my hand and asked, "What's wrong?" 0

"Why are you afraid of me?" 0

I shook my head, "I'm not afraid of you..." 0

"Then why can't you look at me?" 0

I raised my gaze to him, "I'm not avoiding looking at you..." 0

He stared into my eyes, "Then why can't you admit that you like me?" 0

My heart skipped a beat. 0

I didn't expect him to be so straightforward. 0

I gritted my teeth and said, "When did I ever say I liked you?" 0

His brows furrowed, "Earlier today, I said I liked you, and you didn't deny it." 0

"I..." 0

I lowered my head, unsure how to respond. 0

Because I truly had never been in a relationship. 0

From childhood to now, I had spent my time studying, practicing piano, and learning various skills. 0

I had no time for romance. 0

And I had never encountered a boy who made my heart flutter. 0

So, in twenty-four years, I had never tasted the flavor of love. 0
