After the car accident, darkness enveloped my vision. I could feel my body sinking continuously. I lost track of time until suddenly, I saw a light. It was a large truck driving towards me. Looking at that familiar model, I felt a wave of confusion—wasn't that my vehicle? 0

At the intersection of Sanliqiao, there stood a young woman holding a swaddled baby. She anxiously gazed into the distance, constantly looking around. The child in her arms cried incessantly due to a high fever. The woman lowered her head and softly comforted the baby, saying, "Be good, baby, don't cry. Mommy will take you to the hospital soon." 0

The woman was very young and beautiful, but at that moment, her face was filled with worry and exhaustion. She had been waiting here for over half an hour without a single car passing by. She promised herself that next time, no matter what kind of vehicle it was, she would stop it. 0

Finally, after a while, a light appeared in the distance. The woman hurriedly stood up and walked to the center of the road. As the light got closer, she realized it was a large truck. The blinding headlights illuminated the road in bright white. She raised one hand to shield her eyes while using the other to protect the baby in her arms. 0

"Beep! Beep!" The truck emitted a piercing horn sound. The woman's heart leaped with joy as she quickly spread her arms wide, standing in the middle of the road. 0

"Ah!" 0

With a piercing screech of brakes, the large truck came to a stop half a meter away from the woman. 0

The woman let out a sigh of relief and hurried forward, knocking on the door. 0

The window rolled down, and the driver leaned out. 0

He was a middle-aged man in his forties, looking weary. 0

"What’s wrong?" the man asked impatiently. 0

The woman quickly replied, "Sir, my child has a high fever. Could you please take us to the hospital?" 0

"It's hard to get a cab around here; I really can't help you," he said, and the woman's eyes turned red as she nearly burst into tears. 0

The man hesitated for a moment, glancing at the woman and her child in her arms, before finally nodding. 0

"Wait by the roadside for me. I'll move the truck up front and then take you to the hospital." 0

"Okay." 0

The woman nodded gratefully, holding her child as she walked to the side of the road to wait. 0

The man got out of the truck and approached her. 0

"Can you still stand?" he asked. 0

"I should be able to," she replied. 0

The man supported her and helped her to her feet. 0

Suddenly, his hands began to wander inappropriately over her body. 0

The woman was startled and struggled free. 0

"What are you doing?" 0

"Hey there, sister, why not have some fun with Brother Chengzi?" he said with a lewd laugh, his hands continuing to roam over her. 0

"Stop it!" 0

The woman screamed and struggled continuously. 0
But the man's strength was overwhelming, and the woman could not break free. 0
Suddenly, the man yanked the swaddled baby from her hands. 0
"Don't!" 0
The woman screamed, trying to snatch back her child. 0
But the man had already thrown the swaddle to the ground. 0
With a loud thud, the crying from within the swaddle abruptly stopped. 0
He walked in front of the woman, who lay on the ground in disarray, his large hands tightly gripping her neck. 0
The woman's eyes were filled with helplessness and despair, her gaze fixed on the swaddle not far away. 0
The man climbed off her, panting heavily. 0
He turned to see the child in the swaddle and walked toward it. 0
The baby was still making faint cries, the sound barely audible. 0
The man picked up the swaddle and raised it high... 0
No! He's just a child, put him down! 0
I shouted in anger... 0
When I woke up again, I found myself lying on a hospital bed, tears soaking my pillow. 0
I had dreamed of that scene, of the woman holding the swaddle, and the tragedy that befell her. 0
