Erin gazed at Neil, ensuring that he had a thorough understanding of the basic concepts of the Multiverse, and then continued, "Now that you have a preliminary understanding of the Multiverse, let me explain to you how we actually conduct our observations." 0

She led Neil to a massive machine, its surface covered with a complex control panel and multiple high-resolution displays. This machine was called the "Quantum Observation Chamber." 0

"This is our Quantum Observation Chamber, which is mainly composed of three parts: dark energy generator, wormhole channel opener, and Quantum entanglement recording device." 0

Neil eyes lit up, clearly fascinated by all of this. 0

"First, let's talk about the dark energy generator," Erin said. "As you know, dark energy dominates the universe, but its nature and function remain a mystery. Our scientists have discovered a special way to use dark energy to generate immense power by temporarily tearing the fabric of spacetime through a phenomenon called 'non-local entanglement'." 0

"Tearing the fabric of spacetime?" Neil asked in astonishment. 0

"Yes, this is the working principle of the wormhole gateway opener. Imagine drawing two points on a piece of paper, and these two points represent two different universes. Normally, they are isolated from each other. However, if we could tear the paper and bring these two points close together, then in a very short time, these two universes could exchange information." 0

Neil is increasingly amazed by all of this. 0

"Finally, there's the Quantum entanglement recording device." Erin pointed to a small device that looked like a high-end camera. "This device can be activated at the other end of the target universe and achieve real-time information transmission through quantum entanglement. In addition, it also has an advanced sensory simulation system that allows you to experience various sensory information from that universe, from temperature and air pressure to even particle composition." 0

Neil couldn't contain his excitement: "This is truly amazing!" 0

Erin stared at Neil and continued, "I need you to understand that The Eye of the Philosopher has strict regulations and ethical standards. First and foremost, we do not engage in any form of interference. No matter what we observe in other universes, no matter how tragic or exhilarating, we must remain neutral, merely as observers." 0

Neil listened attentively and asked, "What if we witness something extremely unethical happening? Like war, massacre, and so on." 0

Erin smiled faintly, she had anticipated this kind of question: "That's why we are called 'observers' rather than 'interveners.' Each universe has its own laws and trajectory of development, and even seemingly unethical events may be a natural part of that universe's development. If we intervene, it could lead to unforeseen consequences and disrupt their natural development." 0

Neil nodded, though reluctant, he understood Erin's perspective. 0

"Secondly," Erin continued, "The Eye of the Philosopher's mission is not just to collect information and data. We are also seeking a deeper understanding, of the nature of the Multiverse, the meaning of life, and even the purpose of our own existence." 0

"So we are not just scientists, but also philosophers?" Neil attempted to integrate this information. 0

"You could say that. Our organization possesses highly advanced technology, but technology is just a means, not the end. What we truly pursue is the understanding of existence itself. That's why we give equal importance to the exploration of human nature and emotions, as well as social change." 0

NeilThe fog in his mind seemed to be gradually dispersing, and he had a clearer understanding of his position in The Eye of the Philosopher and the challenges that lay ahead. 0

"Finally, I want to emphasize that although we have the ability to observe other universes, it does not mean that we have sovereignty over them. Every observer should maintain a cautious and reverent attitude, because we are in an extremely complex and ever-changing Multiverse, and any small mistake could have catastrophic consequences." 0

Neil took a deep breath and then tightly held Erin's hand. "Thank you, Erin. I understand, and I will remember these principles and mission." 0

Erin looked at Neil with deep eyes: "Very good, I believe you can do it. But there are still some more subtle rules and principles that you need to gradually understand and absorb in practical work." 0

Neil asked somewhat nervously, "Could you give an example?" 0

"Of course," Erin said, "for example, during the observation process, you may come into contact with highly sensitive information that could affect the security or even the survival of multiple universes. In such cases, we have strict information management systems in place. Any form of leakage is strictly prohibited." 0

Neil was quite shocked after hearing this: "Are you saying that even within The Eye of the Philosopher, these pieces of information cannot be shared freely?" 0

"Exactly. Information is managed according to different categories and levels, and only observers and managers of the corresponding level can access specific level of information." Erin explained. 0

"So how are these levels divided?" Neil asked curiously. 0

"This involves many factors, including the sensitivity of the information and the potential impact of this information. It is usually decided by our information security department and senior management together." 0

Neil nodded, beginning to feel the weight of responsibility as an observer. 0

Erin continued, "Also, The Eye of the Philosopher places great emphasis on the mental well-being of its observers. You will have regular sessions with the psychoanalyst Sophia to ensure that you can adapt to this job on a psychological level." 0

"Who is Sophia?" asked Neil. 0

"Is a psychoanalyst specializing in observing the mental health of observers. She will help you solve emotional and psychological issues you may encounter at work." 0

Neil quietly considered for a moment and then said, "This sounds like a comprehensive support system." 0

"Indeed, because we understand that observing the Multiverse is an extremely complex and diverse task, which is why we need talented and highly professional individuals like you." 0

Neil felt a warmth in his heart, feeling that he was in the right place, working with the right people. 0

"Finally, I want to tell you," Erin's smile softened, "The Eye of the Philosopher has strict regulations and high professional requirements, but what we value most is people. You are not just an observer, but a person with your own thoughts and emotions. Remember, as an observer, your goal is not only to observe, but also to understand and reflect." 0

Neil took a deep breath and then looked firmly at Erin, "I will, thank you, Erin." 0
