“Brother Xingyu, what is Sister saying?” Du Qiaoyun tightly held Shen Xingyu's hand, her eyes filled with tears, looking pitiful.
“Qiao Yun, don't listen to her nonsense,” Shen Xingyu said coldly, glaring at Ye Jingzhu. “Ye Jingzhu, you are truly insane.”
“I am not insane,” Ye Jingzhu shouted. “Shen Xingyu, you are the one who is insane.”
“Brother Xingyu,” Du Qiaoyun's tears rolled down her cheeks. “How could Sister say that I have never accepted Wanwan's heart?”
“Qiao Yun, don't listen to her nonsense,” Shen Xingyu comforted Du Qiaoyun.
“Shen Xingyu, why won't you believe me just this once?” Ye Jingzhu said with a bitter smile. “You are really foolish; you have been deceived by Du Qiaoyun.”
“Enough!” Shen Xingyu yelled at Ye Jingzhu. “Ye Jingzhu, do you want me to send you to a mental hospital?”
“Shen Xingyu,” Ye Jingzhu looked at him in shock. “You actually want to send me to a mental hospital?”
“Brother Xingyu, isn't that too much?” Du Qiaoyun feigned concern. “Even though Sister always targets me, I don't want her to stay in a mental hospital.”
“Qiao Yun, she always provokes you; I can't let her hurt you anymore,” Shen Xingyu said to Du Qiaoyun. “Just leave this matter alone.”
He turned to the bodyguards outside the door and said, “Take Ye Jingzhu to Qingshan Hospital.”
“Yes,” two bodyguards in black suits walked in from outside.
“Shen Xingyu, you can't do this to me,” Ye Jingzhu shouted.
Shen Xingyu ignored her and told the bodyguards, “Take her away.”
“No!” Ye Jingzhu struggled, but how could she escape the grip of two large men?
She was ruthlessly dragged out of the door and disappeared at the end of the corridor.
Ye Jingzhu was locked up in Qingshan Hospital. From the outside, it looked like an old hospital, but Ye Jingzhu knew it was a mental institution.
She was pushed into a ward by a nurse, and before she could react, she heard the heavy iron door slam shut.
She rushed to the door and pounded on it forcefully. “Let me out! I am not insane! Let me out!”
But no matter how much she shouted or called out, no one came to check on her.
Despairing, she slid down along the iron door to the floor, hugging her legs as tears rolled down her cheeks.
She did not understand why Shen Xingyu did not believe her, and she was even more confused about why Du Qiaoyun treated her this way. She knew she could not give up like this; she had to get out and make Du Qiaoyun reveal her true self.
She did not know how long it had been when Ye Jingzhu heard the sound of the door lock opening, and she immediately rushed over.
"Please, let me go. I really don't have a mental illness," Ye Jingzhu pleaded, grabbing the nurse's hand, her eyes filled with tears, looking pitiful.
The nurse glanced at her coldly. "Don't even think about it. I won't let you out without a doctor's orders."
"Why?" Ye Jingzhu asked in confusion. "I am not sick; why are you keeping me here?"
"You say you're not sick. Do you have any evidence?" the nurse asked dismissively.
"Evidence?" Ye Jingzhu was stunned. Why did she need evidence? She was not sick; why should she have to convince others that she wasn't?
"None, right?" the nurse said coldly. "Take your medication."
"What is this?" Ye Jingzhu looked at the few white pills in the nurse's palm and took a few steps back.
"Of course, it's the medication to treat your illness," the nurse replied impatiently. "Hurry up and take it."
"No," Ye Jingzhu shook her head. "I won't take it. I am not sick; I won't take it."
"You don't have to take it," the nurse said coldly. "As long as you provide evidence, I'll let you go."
"Evidence, evidence," Ye Jingzhu murmured to herself. "Where am I supposed to find evidence?"
