Lin Yaru had never seen herself like this before.
The beautiful woman in the mirror looked overly formal and professional, not at all like the relaxed and easygoing professional slacker she always admired.

Like a spirited rooster, Lin Yaru grabbed her small bag and opened the door. She saw the maids A-Ying and A-Mei sitting in the hallway cleaning.
“A-Ying, A-Mei, I’m off to work! See you tonight.”
Lin Yaru waved cheerfully at them and quickly ran downstairs.
What? Work? The sun must be rising in the west! The young lady got up before eight o'clock? And she said she was going to work?
A-Ying and A-Mei stared in shock with their mouths agape, unable to close them for quite some time. Even the feather duster in A-Ying's hand got sucked into the vacuum cleaner held by A-Mei as they remained dazed and oblivious.
"Sister-in-law, I'm off to work!"
Lin Yaru cheerfully ran to the dining table and happily bid farewell to Yu Yaping, who was eating breakfast while reading the newspaper.
Then, with a loud bang, Lin Yaru slammed the door shut in a rather unladylike manner, causing the egg that Yu Yaping had just put in her mouth to fall out in a most uncivilized way.

The vacuum cleaner upstairs continued to buzz noisily, but she couldn't care less about that now. She hurried over to the phone, grabbed it, and dialed her husband's number. As soon as the call connected, she began shouting in panic:
"Lin Junjie, something's wrong! It's a big deal! My sister-in-law, your sister... she's gone crazy!"
