Lin Yaru swallowed the words she wanted to blurt out—that she was completely useless—and involuntarily followed Yan Chengjie forward. She didn't want to embarrass herself again, letting the recently acquainted Wu Yuchuan see that she seemed like just a decorative vase in Yan Chengjie's office—someone who had no grasp of business at all.
Wu Yuchuan stared blankly at the two figures gradually walking away, frozen in place, unsure of what to do.
The more Lin Yaru thought about it, the angrier she became. His behavior was simply that of a moody, inexplicably angry big bad wolf.
“Let go of me!” Lin Yaru said angrily as she shook off Yan Chengjie's hand. This time, she was really, really angry! How could he put on such a show in front of a stranger? If Wu Yuchuan casually made a fool of her in front of her Sister-in-law, she wouldn't be able to live in the Lin family anymore!
“Get in the car!” Yan Chengjie walked straight to the driver's seat. “I'll take you home.”
“No thanks, my car…” Lin Yaru insisted, standing still on the side.
“I said! Get! In!” Yan Chengjie said firmly, leaving no room for refusal.
She wasn't going to drag him along! Who did he think he was? She was the famous Little Witch of the Lin family! Lin Yaru reached up to tidy her slightly messy bangs and attempted to turn away gracefully.
However, as soon as she took a step, a strong pair of hands yanked her back. Before Lin Yaru could even see Yan Chengjie's face clearly, he had already shoved her into the passenger seat.
When Yan Chengjie got into the Lamborghini and started the engine, Lin Yaru noticed that his face was now as cold as ice—there wasn't a trace of a smile left.
It seemed that today he was truly upset with her! But he was a man after all! Even if he was angry, he shouldn't treat her so recklessly and rudely!
The Lamborghini sped forward at an incredible pace, and Lin Yaru couldn't help but let out a sigh, silently praying that she would see the brilliant sun tomorrow.
Brilliant, colorful neon lights rushed past the window at lightning speed, filling the car with a heavy, tense atmosphere, as if it were a ticking time bomb ready to explode at any moment...
Yan Chengjie was also unclear about his feelings. In the past, he would get angry because he was her nominal fiancé, but now they had no relationship at all—well, perhaps it could be considered a boss and Lamborghini relationship!
Yet, he felt extremely angry now. As for why he was feeling this way, even he couldn't quite understand. The calm and composed person he used to be seemed to change completely when he was around Lin Yaru; it felt as if he was no longer himself. Even the calmness and self-control he had always prided himself on had vanished!
After a long silence, Yan Chengjie finally spoke up.
