Two thugs had already been taken away by the police after a call from Yan Chengjie.
However, Chen Li, who lay in his arms, did not wake up; instead, she remained deeply asleep, unaffected by the rumbling thunder outside.
As her breathing became steadier, a hint of color gradually returned to her pale face. Yan Chengjie slightly curled the corners of his mouth, revealing a long-lost smile, and the tense lines on his handsome face relaxed considerably.
He decided not to wake her and let her continue to accompany the King of Dreams. Thus, Yan Chengjie opened the door to the room and walked out gracefully.
The night had deepened, and the lovely person on the bed finally turned over, a sweet smile appearing at the corners of her mouth...
When the first rays of morning sunlight streamed into the room, a new day began!
The petite figure on the bed opened her eyes sleepily. The glaring light made her instinctively squint. She rubbed her eyes and waited until they adjusted before opening them again, only to be nearly frightened out of her wits by the unfamiliar surroundings...

Chen Li panicked as she looked around. A delicate chandelier hung from the pure white ceiling, and the light purple walls indicated that their owner was an extremely wealthy and romantic individual.
The wooden wardrobe was filled with men's belongings: suits, casual wear, loungewear, jackets, shirts... Near the left side of the door stood a glass cabinet with several shelves filled with various expensive wines from both China and abroad.
The floor was covered with a wine-red long-haired Persian carpet, and a musky scent typical of men filled the entire room. Chen Li immediately understood—this was a man's bedroom!
Startled, she jumped off the soft and comfortable bed as if something terrifying lay upon it.
She looked anxiously at the door that was not fully closed, and she cautiously moved towards it...
"What are you doing?"
Suddenly, a deep, magnetic voice came from behind her, startling Chen Li so much that she trembled all over. Her feet felt as if they were rooted to the ground, unable to move even an inch.
Not receiving a response from Chen Li, Yan Chengjie furrowed his attractive brows and quickly walked over to her side. He asked again:
"I asked you what you are doing?"
Yan Chengjie's tone was already filled with impatience.
He had stayed up all night for her, and only when he heard faint footsteps coming from the room did he realize she had woken up and gotten out of bed.
He called out to her, but she did not respond! Yan Chengjie glared at Chen Li with an unhappy expression.
As she looked into his gentle eyes, her panic transformed into surprise...
