However, the taste of the food left me greatly disappointed. The dishes were simply terrible. The grilled meat, stewed meat, boiled meat, and steamed meat were all very tough and tasteless, like chewing on wax. Moreover, the vegetables and fruits were also very unappetizing; they tasted extremely bitter and had many small bumps that made me choke and stretch my neck. 0

Despite this, I forced myself to swallow the unpalatable food. After all, I was currently in a situation of fleeing and couldn't be too demanding. Halfway through the banquet, I finally couldn't hold back any longer. I stood up and asked the king, "Excuse me, is there any rice?" 0

The king was taken aback for a moment and then burst into laughter. He said, "Hahaha, you are indeed an outsider; you don't even understand our eating habits! Let me tell you, in our country, rice is a luxury item that only the king can eat!" 0

I sat down feeling dejected. I thought to myself that this wretched place was truly poor if they couldn't even afford rice. The banquet continued with dishes being served one after another, but I couldn't eat a single bite anymore. The food was just too awful. 0

What made it even more unbearable was that all the dishes were made entirely of insects! Yes, all the dishes were insects! There were caterpillars, earthworms, spiders, centipedes, scorpions, and so on, and they were all raw! Looking at those insects made my stomach churn; I almost threw up. 0

I simply couldn't understand why the people in this place would eat such disgusting things. Unable to accept this situation, I grabbed a handful of wild fruits and took Da Huang to a corner to stave off my hunger. 0

I quickly adapted to the environment here and found it relatively comfortable. The king treated me very well; he specifically arranged for me to have a separate cave for me and Da Huang to stay in, and he had servants bring food every day. 0

The cave was very clean, with several oil lamps hanging on the walls that illuminated the entire space brightly. Inside the cave was a bed covered with thick straw and topped with an animal hide. Next to the bed were several stone stools and a stone table where I could eat and rest. 0

I began to think about how to solve my dietary issues. First of all, I needed to find a way to eat cooked food. 0

I thought for a long time and finally decided to try starting a fire by friction. I rummaged through the cave and found some dry pieces of wood and some grass and leaves, then I began my attempt to create fire. 0

I spent a full two days and exerted tremendous effort, but I barely managed to produce a spark. My arms were so sore that I could hardly lift them. Disappointed, I lay down on the bed, reflecting that this world is truly not a place for ordinary people... 0

Due to the monotony of life, I started to make friends with the children from the Stone Oven Kingdom. They were very cute and often came to play with me, sometimes bringing fun toys along. 0

One child, who was bald, became my closest friend. His name was Xiao Xiao; he was two years younger than me and had big eyes, making him look very clever and lively. 0

Xiao Xiao was very hardworking; he helped with chores every day, such as chopping wood, fetching water, and sweeping the floor. He did these tasks with great skill, even more proficiently than many adults. 0

One time, out of curiosity, I asked him, "How come you started working at such a young age? Where are your parents?" 0
