She walked step by step across the wide square and sat down on a stone bench.
In front of the stone bench was a lake, and sitting there provided a perfect view of the scenery on the water.
She remembered that when they got tired from walking, she and her parents would sit on this stone bench to rest for a while.
She would sit in the middle, her dad on the left, and her mom on the right; it had always been this way.

"Have some orange juice to soothe your throat."
A warm yet slightly commanding voice rang in her ears.
Mo Li looked up in surprise.
She saw Ji Yan smiling at her, bright and steady, just like every other time before.
"How coincidental."
Mo Li refused to take the juice, forcing a smile as she spoke.
"Not coincidental at all," Ji Yan said directly. "I came specifically to find you."
"What do you want with me?"
Mo Li frowned slightly.
She had already made it very clear to him twice before that she did not wish to have any entanglements with him.
Why was he still pestering her?
She was not in the mood to consider anyone's pursuit right now.
Ji Yan pretended not to notice her frown and smiled brightly.
"Weren't you the one who issued me a challenge?"
