Chapter 144: Goodbye Xiao Ran 2
When she saw Xiao Ran, he was standing under a tall Royal Poinciana tree, gazing up at the clusters of bright red flowers in full bloom.
He was still wearing a white trench coat, but it wasn't the one she had washed for him in the past.
A few petals from the Poinciana flowers had fallen onto his shoulder, vibrant and eye-catching.
When Mo Li first spotted that familiar figure, she thought she was seeing things.

Holding her daughter Ji Yutong in her arms, Mo Li was about to greet Xiao Ran when Ji Yutong suddenly called out "Ah ah" towards him.
It seemed as if Xiao Ran sensed it and immediately turned around.
Seeing Mo Li behind him, his eyes lit up as he walked over to her.
"Mo Li, what are you doing here too?"
Mo Li smiled and said, "I brought Yutong to get vaccinated. By the way, this is my daughter. Yutong, call him uncle."
Ji Yutong had just turned one and was still not very good at speaking.
Hearing her mother's words, she called out indistinctly to Xiao Ran, "Hu Hu."
She stretched out her chubby little hand, wanting Xiao Ran to hold her.
Xiao Ran had little experience with small children and seemed a bit at a loss when faced with Ji Yutong's request for a hug.
However, he quickly picked her up in his arms and played with her.
Ji Yutong then grabbed Xiao Ran's hair to play with it.
"Xiao Ran, when did you come back? How come you're at the hospital?" Mo Li asked, her gaze unconsciously scanning Xiao Ran.
Xiao Ran had a good constitution and rarely got sick, so his presence in the hospital was quite unusual.
Xiao Ran smiled nonchalantly and replied, "I fell while hiking last time, so I came to the hospital for a check-up."
"What happened? Where are you hurt?"
Mo Li asked with concern.
Xiao Ran teased Ji Yutong and replied with a smile, "Don't worry, it's just a minor injury. I'm actually fine; I've been better for a while. If it weren't for Xiao Fang being so anxious and pushing me, I wouldn't have needed to come to the hospital at all."
Only then did Mo Li feel relieved.
Seeing Xiao Ran's demeanor, he didn't seem injured, so he didn't ask further.
He just advised him, "Xiao Ran, climbing is too dangerous. If you're hurt, it's even worse to go climbing again. Don't go in the future."
