Liang Ze arrived.
He immediately spotted Guo Zhiguang, who was torturing me.
He kicked the door open and landed a direct kick on Guo Zhiguang.
The kick sent Guo Zhiguang crashing to the ground.
Guo Zhiguang struggled to get up but was knocked senseless by a punch from Liang Ze.
"Liang Ze... I..."
Liang Ze didn't listen at all, delivering punch after punch to Guo Zhiguang's face.
Guo Zhiguang barely had time to explain before Liang Ze turned him into a mess.
He struggled and crawled up from the ground.
Liang Ze pulled out a metal chain and wrapped it around his neck.
Then he yanked it tighter with each punch.
Guo Zhiguang's face turned red, veins bulging.
He desperately struggled, but it was futile.
Liang Ze held him tightly, his eyes filled with rage.
"You traitor!"
"How dare you betray me!"
"How dare you hurt her!"
"You're asking for death!"
Liang Ze was furious, his muscles trembling with anger.
Guo Zhiguang's face was flushed as he struggled to utter a few words.
"Liang Ze, Shen Mingyue is an undercover agent!"
"She's deceiving you!"
"She's here to kill you!"
Liang Ze paused slightly and turned to glance at me.
I trembled in fear, tears streaming down my face.
Liang Ze kicked Guo Zhiguang away and looked at him coldly.
"You think I don't know?"
"I have surveillance set up in this room."
"I know everything you've done."
Guo Zhiguang was momentarily stunned, then let out a bitter laugh. He struggled to stand up and looked at Liang Ze, forcing a grim smile.
"So you knew all along."
"You were actually deceiving me."
Liang Ze snorted coldly, "I'm not as foolish as you."
"If I didn't know, how could I dare to keep you by my side?"
Guo Zhiguang paused for a moment before realizing the implication. He burst into laughter, "So that's how it is."
"You've been acting all along."
"Liang Ze, you're smarter than I thought."
Liang Ze looked at him coldly, "I'm more ruthless than you can imagine."
He grabbed Guo Zhiguang's hair and threw him to the ground. Then he stepped on his head.
"I'll tell you this: even if you're an undercover agent, so what?"
"This is Northern Myanmar; it's my territory."
"If I want you dead, you'll die."
"If I want you to live, then you'll live."
Guo Zhiguang lay on the ground, struggling desperately. Liang Ze bent down, leaned close to his ear, and whispered, "But I won't let you die so easily."
"I want to make your life worse than death."
With that, Liang Ze yanked Guo Zhiguang's hair. Guo Zhiguang screamed in pain and trembled on the ground.
Liang Ze walked over to me and untied the ropes around my wrists. I immediately hugged Liang Ze tightly, crying uncontrollably.
"Liang Ze, I'm so scared."
Liang Ze patted my back gently and comforted me softly, "Don't be afraid; I'm here."
I held onto Liang Ze and cried sorrowfully. Liang Ze embraced me and turned to leave. Guo Zhiguang lay on the ground, struggling to shout something.
"Shen Mingyue, do you even know what you're doing?"
"Don't forget your mission!"
Liang Ze stopped in his tracks and looked at him coldly.
"So you still don't know."
"Ever since I brought Shen Mingyue back, I've been putting on a show for you."
"This is a trap I set for her, just to make you reveal your true self."
Guo Zhiguang stood frozen in place, then quickly realized.
"So that's how it is."
"So that's how it is!"
He fell to the ground, crying out loud.
I held onto Liang Ze and whispered, "Liang Ze, kill him."
"He's an undercover agent."
Liang Ze hesitated for a moment.
"I'm afraid you'll be scared."
I shook my head, "With you here, I'm not afraid."
Liang Ze nodded, pulled out his gun, and aimed it at Guo Zhiguang.
Guo Zhiguang lay on the ground, slowly closing his eyes.
Liang Ze looked at me gently, "Don't be afraid."
A gunshot rang out; Guo Zhiguang was dead.
I fought back tears as I leaned into Liang Ze's embrace.
I'm sorry, Guo Zhiguang.
I will avenge you.
I swear.
