Hu Tianliang, sporting a slick hairstyle and dressed in an expensive suit, stood confidently beside Qian Duoduo, who adorned herself with various pieces of jewelry and wore an exquisite cheongsam. Together, they made quite the striking couple.
With a beaming smile, Hu Tianliang addressed the guests, "Everyone, I sincerely apologize. We just bought this villa not long ago and haven't had the chance to decorate it yet, so please bear with us!"
"Congratulations, Duo Duo! Congratulations, Lao Hu! You actually bought Longjiang Villa!" someone exclaimed.
"I've heard that even the cheapest villa at Longjiang Villa costs over a million. Does that mean your Villa No. 1 is worth more than a million?" another guest chimed in.
"That's impressive! In the future, you two must take care of us, Duo Duo. You've struck it rich; let us share in some of that fortune!"
The crowd surrounded Hu Tianliang and his wife, showering them with compliments without reservation.
Qian Duoduo proudly linked her arm with Hu Tianliang's and laughed lightly, "This villa is just a small gesture. My husband plans to make some money from stock trading this time and buy another villa by the end of the year!"
Her words reignited excitement among the guests. Envy filled their eyes as they raised their glasses in toast to the couple, offering flattering remarks.
Basking in the flattery of others, Qian Duoduo felt quite pleased with herself. Suddenly, two figures caught her attention—Ye Yiming and Luo Qi had arrived fashionably late!
With an air of arrogance, Qian Duoduo strode over to Luo Qi. "Qiqi, you finally made it!"
"Sorry, Duo Duo! I had some work matters to attend to that delayed me," Luo Qi replied apologetically.
Qian Duoduo deliberately touched her necklace and casually asked, "Qiqi, everyone else has dressed up for this gathering; why didn’t you make an effort? Even if you're busy with work, you could at least wear a diamond necklace or something to enhance your elegance!"
Luo Qi felt embarrassed under Qian Duoduo's public scrutiny. "I..."
"Oh! My apologies! I forgot your husband can't afford a diamond necklace!" Qian Duoduo said sarcastically, shifting the focus onto Ye Yiming.
Ye Yiming merely chuckled softly, uninterested in engaging with such a pretentious woman.
Hu Tianliang approached with a glass in hand and asked Luo Qi, "Miss Luo, is this your man?"
"Yes! This is my man, Ye Yiming!"
Luo Qi tugged at Ye Yiming's sleeve and said, "Yiming, quickly greet Mr. Hu..."
Before Luo Qi could finish her sentence, Hu Tianliang interrupted, "Miss Luo, since he is your man, you need to keep an eye on him. There are some places he shouldn't wander around!"

Luo Qi looked confused.
Qian Duoduo nudged Hu Tianliang with her elbow and playfully scolded, "Darling, you’re being too nosy! Mr. Ye came to Longjiang Villa District to look at houses!"
Luo Qi turned to Ye Yiming and asked with curiosity, "What are you doing in Longjiang Villa District?"

"Your husband said the day before yesterday that he has already bought a new house!"
"My husband and I saw him at Longjiang Villa yesterday. It seems you two are also buying a new house there!"
