"I understand now," I suddenly realized, "the water from the waterfall splashed here to form this."
"So that's how it is," A Meng and Xiao Xiao said in unison.
"But this rainbow looks beautiful, just like a real one," Xiao Xiao remarked.
"Yeah, if only we could walk on it," I replied.
"How is that possible?" A Meng shook his head.
"Woof woof woof!" Suddenly, Da Huang barked at us.
"Da Huang, what's wrong?" I asked curiously.
"Woof!" Da Huang barked once, then leaped onto the rainbow.
"Da Huang, what are you doing?" I exclaimed.
However, in the next moment, something astonishing happened—Da Huang stood unharmed on the rainbow, wagging his tail at us.
"This... how is this possible?" I said in disbelief.
"Could this rainbow be real?" Xiao Xiao was also surprised.
"I'll give it a try," A Meng said as he jumped onto the rainbow.
"Wow, it really is safe!" A Meng exclaimed excitedly.
"Then I'll go too," Xiao Xiao said as she jumped up as well.
"It seems this is the way to the mountain top," I thought to myself and followed suit.
The four of us walked step by step along the rainbow toward the summit.
However, just as we were about to reach the top, a sudden powerful suction pulled us in.
"Ah—" we screamed as we were swept into a deep pool.
When we woke up, we found a gigantic Azure Hawk calling out towards us.
"Oh no, it's that Azure Hawk!" I shouted.
"Don't panic; let's get into formation quickly!" A Meng said.
So we immediately got into position, ready to face the challenge.
The Azure Hawk, upon seeing us, immediately dove down and charged at us.
"Be careful, it's coming!" Xiao Xiao shouted.
"I'll go first." Xiao Xiao took out a slingshot and aimed it at the Azure Hawk. However, the Azure Hawk reacted incredibly quickly, dodging to the side just in time.
"Damn it, I missed," Xiao Xiao said, feeling frustrated.
"Don't be discouraged, let's all attack together," I suggested.
So the four of us took out our weapons and charged at the Azure Hawk. However, it was simply too large for us to get close. Moreover, the Azure Hawk's iron claws and sharp beak were extremely dangerous; one careless move could result in injury.
"This isn't working; we need to find its weakness," A Meng said.
"But what is its weakness?" I frowned.
"I don't know either," I replied helplessly.
"Watch me." A Meng raised the Black Gold Blade and swung it at the Azure Hawk. However, the Azure Hawk was too fast; A Meng's strike missed completely and nearly got caught by the hawk's sharp claws instead.
"A Meng, be careful!" I exclaimed as I rushed forward to help.
Thus, the four of us fought against the Azure Hawk on the rooftop, engaged in a fierce battle. We jumped up and down, hid behind stone pillars, and rolled to the other side. The Azure Hawk flapped its wings, creating strong gusts of wind that made our movements extremely difficult. Although Xiao Xiao's projectiles occasionally hit the giant eagle, they seemed to have little effect on it.
This battle left us exhausted, while the Azure Hawk remained ferocious as ever.
"Oh no, I'm out of bullets!" Xiao Xiao suddenly cried out.
"I'll hold it off for a bit; you reload quickly!" I said.
"Okay," Xiao Xiao nodded in response.
However, at that moment, Xiao Xiao suddenly let out a loud scream and then fell silent.
"Xiao Xiao, what's wrong?" I shouted.
Yet, there was no response.
