Director Niu anxiously ran his fingers through his hair. Xie Mi was truly a troublemaker, always managing to stir up some chaos that left him, as the director, on edge. He grabbed the bottle of mineral water from the table and took a big gulp; the cold liquid slid down his throat but did nothing to quell his inner agitation. He slammed the water bottle back onto the table and shouted at the staff, "Keep calling! Don't stop until you reach her!"
"Yes, Director Niu!" The staff member jumped at his outburst and quickly picked up their phone to continue dialing Shen Zhaoqing's number.
Director Niu paced back and forth in the room, muttering to himself, "What does President Shen mean by this? Is he really going to blacklist Xie Mi? What will happen to the show then?"
At that moment, his phone suddenly rang, displaying Assistant Wang's name. Director Niu quickly answered, speaking respectfully, "Hello? Assistant Wang, what did President Shen say?"
"Director Niu, President Shen said he is very satisfied with Miss Xie's Live Stream content and has decided to invest more. He hopes the production team can maintain the momentum."
Hearing this, Director Niu's face lit up with joy, and the tension in his chest finally eased. He nodded eagerly and said, "Great, great! You can rest assured; I will do my best and definitely won't let President Shen down!"
After hanging up the phone, Director Niu immediately changed his demeanor and instructed the staff, "Inform everyone that the upcoming segments and tasks will all focus on Xie Mi. We must ensure she has maximum exposure on the show!"
"But Director Niu, won't this be unfair to the other guests?"
"Unfair? In this industry, popularity is fairness! As long as it gets attention, who cares about fairness?" Director Niu waved his hand impatiently and then picked up the intercom to address other staff members. "Attention all departments, start preparing for the next segment. The theme this time is—Survival on a Deserted Island!"

The sea breeze was gentle, and waves crashed against the shore.
Several speedboats raced across the water, kicking up white spray before finally docking on a deserted island's sandy beach.
"Welcome, everyone, to our desert island survival event!" Director Niu announced loudly from the beach, holding a megaphone. "You will spend three days and two nights on this deserted island, relying on your own strength to find food, water, and shelter. Of course, we have also prepared some survival tools and supplies hidden in various corners of the island; it's up to you to see if you can find them!"
The guests, dressed in matching sportswear, showed signs of fatigue and anxiety on their faces, clearly filled with uncertainty and fear about the upcoming challenge.
Xie Mi stood at the front of the group, wearing a sun hat that shielded her face and sunglasses that covered most of it, revealing only her elegantly shaped chin and full, rosy lips. With her arms crossed over her chest, she listened casually to Director Niu's explanation, showing no concern for the challenge ahead.
"Xie Mi, you don't seem nervous at all," said Xu Shuangrong, standing next to her with a sweet smile but a slightly sarcastic tone. "Have you participated in similar shows before?"
Xie Mi tilted her head slightly, a playful smile curling at the corners of her mouth as she replied lazily, "Nervous? What’s there to be nervous about? It’s just desert island survival. Compared to what I’ve been through before, this is child's play."
Xu Shuangrong's smile faltered for a moment, a hint of doubt flashing in her eyes before she quickly regained her composure and pressed on, "Oh? So Miss Xie has experienced things even more thrilling than this? Do tell; we’d love to hear about it."
Xie Mi smiled mysteriously and lowered her voice to a volume only Xu Shuangrong could hear. "I’ve survived in environments ten times worse than this—venomous creatures and wild beasts, swamps and dense forests; that was real danger, every step fraught with peril."
Xu Shuangrong's expression changed slightly, suspicion and wariness creeping into her gaze as she sized up Xie Mi, seemingly trying to gauge the truth behind her words.
Xie Mi shrugged nonchalantly and turned her gaze toward the vast ocean in the distance as if nothing had happened.
"Alright, everyone! I now declare that the desert island survival officially begins!" Director Niu's voice echoed across the beach through the megaphone, interrupting the undercurrents between Xie Mi and Xu Shuangrong.
The other guests looked surprised at Xie Mi's words, their expressions revealing curiosity as they began speculating about Xie Mi's true identity and intentions.
"Did I hear that right? Xie Mi just said she has survived in even worse conditions before? Is that for real?"
"Who knows? Maybe she's just making it up for the show."
"But look at how calm she was earlier; it doesn't seem like she's lying, does it?"
"What if she's some hidden big shot?"
To increase the show's entertainment value and suspense, the production team deliberately focused the camera on Xie Mi, accompanied by mysterious background music to create a tense and thrilling atmosphere.
Shen Zhaoqing stood among the crowd, his gaze fixed on Xie Mi, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. He seemed to have seen through Xie Mi's facade, but instead of exposing her, he appeared even more eager to see how she would perform next.
