Liang Tian glared at him, "Did I say something wrong?"
"Isn't your sister a lawyer?"
"What can she help with while I'm acting?"
"She can help you." I walked to the bedroom door, paused, and turned back to Liang Tian, "When you end up in jail, I can be your lawyer."
Liang Tian's face turned pale with anger, "Are you cursing me?"
I shook my head, "I'm not cursing you."
"I'm just stating the facts."
Liang Tian snorted coldly, "No need for that."
"Even if I really end up in jail, I won't need your help."
I shrugged, "It's up to you."
"Anyway, I've already warned you."
"If you don't listen, there's nothing I can do."
Liang Tian's face turned white with rage.
I turned and went into the bedroom.
Wang Yang followed me in, looking worried, "Sis, you've caused trouble."
I wasn't worried at all, "What can he do to me?"
Wang Yang sighed, "You don't understand."
"This Liang Tian is very popular right now."
"He has already played the second male lead in two dramas."
"Once this drama airs, he will become a sensation."
I scoffed, "Oh really?"
"So what?"
"If he becomes famous, does that mean he can do whatever he wants?"
Wang Yang sighed again, "That's not what I mean."
"What I mean is that you've offended him now; it might cause you endless trouble later."
I lay down on the bed and closed my eyes, "It doesn't matter."
"He wouldn't dare do anything to me."
Wang Yang helplessly said, "Alright then."
"Sis, you should rest now."
"I went to help out."
I waved my hand and said, "Go ahead."
After Wang Yang left, I quickly fell asleep.
I had a particularly deep sleep.
When I woke up, it was already past three in the afternoon.
I walked out of the bedroom and saw everyone busy in the kitchen.
Wang Yang was helping Liang Tian wash vegetables.
Yuyu and her mother were picking vegetables.
Brother Zhao and his girlfriend were rinsing rice.
I walked over and patted Wang Yang on the shoulder, "Why are you working?"
Wang Yang smiled, "Well, I had nothing else to do."
"I just came to help."
I rolled my eyes, "Fake enthusiasm."
Wang Yang leaned closer to my ear and whispered, "Sister, this isn't fake enthusiasm."
"I'm genuinely enthusiastic."
"You have no idea how competitive the entertainment industry is back home."
"My foundation is shaky; I need to participate in more variety shows to get some exposure."
I huffed, "We're artists."
"I'm back home to promote art."
"Do you really have to be this worried?"
Wang Yang chuckled helplessly, "Yes, yes, yes."
"You are an artist."
"But artists need to eat too."
"If we participate in this variety show and let everyone see our artistic achievements, then we will have a chance to hold our own art exhibition in the future."
I thought about it and realized it made sense.
So, I rolled up my sleeves and said, "Alright."
"Let's show them what real artists are like."
Liang Tian's expression immediately darkened when she saw me and Wang Yang.
"Miss Wang, what's going on with you two?"
"You haven't done anything at all. Can you live with your conscience?"
I shot him a cold glance. "Who said I don't have to do anything?"
Liang Tian replied, "That was me."
"But you said yourself that you didn't want to work."
"I just voiced what you were thinking."
I nodded. "So that's exactly it."
"Since you said it yourself, why are you pushing the responsibility onto me?"
Liang Tian was momentarily speechless.
His face turned red with anger.
Seeing this, Liang Jing immediately walked over and said to me with a stern expression, "Sister Wang Ning, isn't it a bit inappropriate to have so many people serving you?"
"Why don't you cook for yourself instead?"
Wang Yang quickly spoke up for me, "Liang Jing, my sister isn't like that."
Liang Jing sneered, "Then what kind of person is she?"
"She clearly said just now that she wouldn't work."
"Now that everyone has finished their tasks, she still refuses to help. Isn't that just making us serve her?"
Wang Yang seemed ready to say more.
I stopped him and looked at Liang Jing with a half-smile. "Liang Jing, are you targeting me because you're not as capable as I am?"
Liang Jing's expression changed. "What nonsense are you talking about?"
"When have I ever targeted you?"
"I just can't stand your behavior."
I nodded. "That's good to know."
"I thought you were deliberately targeting me out of jealousy because I'm better than you."
Liang Jing's face turned pale with anger.
The audience in the livestream room erupted into chaos.
