The morning sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains, gently illuminating Bai Huaiyu's face. She slowly opened her eyes and gazed at the blue sky outside. Today, she and Jiang NanJin would once again dive into their joint comic project, working hard to realize this dream.
Bai Huaiyu got dressed, choosing a bright top paired with simple jeans. She tidied her long hair and spun around lightly in front of the mirror. A hint of confidence shone in her eyes, and a satisfied smile graced her lips. She made a cute face at the mirror and cheerfully said to herself, "Come on, Bai Huaiyu, let's be full of energy today!"
She picked up her phone and sent a message to Jiang NanJin: "Good morning, Jiang NanJin! Let's work hard together today!" Bai Huaiyu's messages were always filled with optimism and positivity. Even when facing pressure and challenges, she could always maintain her cheerful demeanor.
Soon, Jiang NanJin replied: "Good morning! You handle the coffee today, and I'll handle the sarcasm." His response carried his unique sense of humor and revealed the rapport between him and Bai Huaiyu.
Bai Huaiyu smiled and replied, "Then I need to prepare double the coffee; your sharp tongue is no joke." Her optimistic response always managed to easily defuse Jiang NanJin's teasing.
When she walked into the office, Jiang NanJin was already there waiting for her. He was sitting in front of the computer, his brow slightly furrowed, seemingly deep in thought about something. His eyes suddenly lifted and met Bai Huaiyu's gaze. In that moment, a faint smile appeared on his face.
"You came early today, Bai Huaiyu," Jiang Nanjin said with a hint of relaxation in his tone.
Bai Huaiyu smiled and replied, "Yeah, I wanted to start working early. What are you thinking about?"
Jiang NanJin pointed at a sketch on the computer screen, his tone tinged with uncertainty. "I'm wondering how to improve this scene. What do you think?"
Bai Huaiyu leaned in for a closer look, her eyes sparkling with interest. She carefully examined the sketch and then softly said, "I think we could add some details here to make the characters' emotions more expressive."
Listening to her suggestion, Jiang NanJin's furrowed brow gradually relaxed, and a faint smile appeared at the corners of his mouth. "You're right; this way, the emotional depth of the story will be richer."
The two began to discuss seriously, with Bai Huaiyu's ideas brimming with creativity and vitality, while Jiang NanJin added more possibilities to her thoughts with his intelligence and ingenuity. Their discussion was filled with enthusiasm and passion, and their collaboration became increasingly harmonious.
However, just as they were deep in discussion, Jiang NanJin suddenly stopped and looked at Bai Huaiyu, his tone laced with a hint of teasing. "You look particularly energetic today. Did you have a wonderful dream last night?"
Upon hearing this, Bai Huaiyu revealed a slightly awkward smile. "Well, maybe. Why are you always so good at teasing people?"
Jiang NanJin With a gentle smile, there was a hint of tenderness in his eyes: "This is not my expertise."
Their conversation was filled with ease and joy. As time passed, they gradually entered a highly efficient working state. They discussed the plot together, sketched together, and modified details together. Their collaboration became more and more tacit, and their creative inspiration became richer.
Bai Huaiyu occasionally makes small mistakes while drawing, but Jiang NanJin always patiently points them out and offers her suggestions for improvement. Although his tone can sometimes be a bit sharp, Bai Huaiyu knows that this is his unique way of showing concern. She smiles and accepts his advice, striving to enhance her work.
In the afternoon, the two decided to take a break. Jiang NanJin walked over to the window, gazing at the street scene outside with a hint of contemplation in his eyes. Bai Huaiyu approached him and softly asked, "Jiang NanJin, what are you thinking about?"
Jiang NanJin turned his head to look at her, a smile curling at the corners of his mouth. "I was thinking that our comic is bound to be a great success."
Bai Huaiyu's eyes sparkled with light. "I believe so too. Our efforts will definitely not be in vain."
In the afternoon, they immersed themselves in their busy work again. Time passed bit by bit, and their creations gradually took shape. Bai Huaiyu's fingers danced across the keyboard, producing a smooth rhythm, while Jiang NanJin's brush painted wonderful scenes on paper. Their collaboration was flawless, and their creations were filled with vitality and inspiration.
By evening, they finally completed a day's work. Bai Huaiyu stretched lazily, feeling a hint of fatigue but also satisfaction. She looked at Jiang NanJin, her eyes sparkling with gratitude: "Thank you, Jiang NanJin. With you here, I feel like nothing is a problem."
Jiang NanJin looked at her, a smile curling at the corners of his mouth. "I should thank you too, Bai Huaiyu. With your company, work has become much more enjoyable."
Their eyes were filled with mutual trust and appreciation.
As night fell, they left the office together. Walking down the city streets, Bai Huaiyu looked at the brightly lit scenery and smiled knowingly. Jiang NanJin walked beside her, casually chatting about today's work and plans, his voice carried by the night breeze.
"I think we did really well today," Jiang NanJin said with a hint of pride in his tone.
Bai Huaiyu nodded, his eyes shining with the same sense of pride. "Yes, I feel the same way. Our collaboration is truly amazing."
They walked through the bustling streets, surrounded by crowds and traffic flowing around them, yet they seemed to exist in their own little world, filled with hopes for the future.
Suddenly, Jiang NanJin stopped in his tracks and turned to Bai Huaiyu, his eyes carrying a hint of depth. "Bai Huaiyu, I want to tell you that I am very happy to work with you. Your optimism and positivity are a great encouragement to me."
Bai Huaiyu smiled slightly, feeling a warmth in her heart. "Thank you, Jiang NanJin. I am also very glad to work with you. Your creativity always inspires me."
Jiang NanJin's lips curled into a playful smile as he said with a sharp tongue, "Of course, with me around, your work efficiency will improve. Don't forget, I am your 'source of motivation.'"
Bai Huaiyu couldn't help but laugh, her smile carrying a hint of mischief. "Then I guess I need to work extra hard!"
Jiang NanJin slightly tilted his head, looking at a small food stall by the roadside, a mischievous glint flashing in his eyes. "What do you think, Bai Huaiyu? Want to try some street food tonight?"
Bai Huaiyu's eyes lit up, and he smiled as he nodded, "Sure! I've always been curious about the taste of these snacks."
The two walked towards the snack stall and ordered some skewers and cold noodles. Jiang NanJin, while flipping the skewers, casually said, "Don't eat too much, or you'll turn into a little chubby one."
Bai Huaiyu pretended to be angry and shot him a glare. "Are you saying I'm too thin right now?"
Jiang NanJin simply smiled without speaking, turning his attention to the skewers he was grilling. His movements were skilled and relaxed, with a hint of focus in his eyes.
Bai Huaiyu watched Jiang NanJin's back, a smile curling at the corners of her mouth. She knew that although Jiang NanJin was not very talkative and sometimes spoke sharply, he was actually a very attentive and caring person.
They found a corner to sit down and began to savor the snacks in their hands. Bai Huaiyu, while eating, had her eyes sparkling with delight. "This tastes amazing; I've never tried anything like it before."
Jiang NanJin watched her enjoy the food and couldn't help but smile slightly. "Seeing you like this makes me wonder if I've been too strict usually."
Bai Huaiyu chuckled, "You are a bit harsh, but it has taught me a lot."
The two of them enjoyed a simple yet warm moment in the night. The streetlights flickered, and people came and went, but in their eyes, it seemed as if only each other existed.
After finishing their late-night snack, Jiang NanJin suddenly stood up and stretched lazily. "Alright, it's time to head back. There's a lot of work to do tomorrow."
Bai Huaiyu nodded, a satisfied smile on her face. She packed up her things and followed Jiang NanJin out of the food stall.
Walking on the way home, Bai Huaiyu felt a sense of relief and happiness. She turned her head to look at Jiang NanJin, her heart filled with gratitude. "Jiang NanJin, thank you for your company tonight."
Jiang NanJin turned to look at her, his gaze softening slightly. "No need to thank me, Bai Huaiyu. Sometimes, it's necessary to relax a bit."
Finally, the two of them said goodbye in front of their respective homes. Bai Huaiyu watched Jiang NanJin's figure fade away, feeling a warm current flowing through her heart.
Afterward, she walked into her house, gently closed the door, and hummed a tune, a relaxed smile curving at the corners of her mouth.
