When Li Ting returned to the dormitory building, the dorm manager was already preparing to lock the door. Li Ting sprinted all the way and finally rushed into the dorm just before the lights went out.
Xiao Mei quickly told her to stand still, and then Xiao Min took a pomelo leaf dipped in water and swept it over her body, claiming it would ward off bad luck. Li Ting found it amusing but still took a photo and posted it on her social media.
The comments section was filled with "666" (a way to express admiration), and many classmates teased her.
"How did you end up in the hospital?"
"What’s going on, Li Ting?"
"Li Ting, are you okay?"
"Li Ting, you have to be strong!"
Li Ting looked at these comments and was momentarily unsure how to respond. Suddenly, she noticed a comment from her counselor.
"Li Ting, where did you get the pomelo leaves?"
Li Ting was startled and quickly replied, "I pulled them from the teaching building."
"Where are there pomelo trees in the teaching building?"
"…I bought them."
"Where did you buy them?"
"At the supermarket."
"Which supermarket?"
Li Ting could no longer hold back and typed directly, "They were grown at my aunt's house."
"Oh."
The counselor did not reply again. Li Ting let out a sigh of relief.
At that moment, Lu Hao sent a photo of Xiao Hei locked in a dog cage.
"It has been grounded."
Li Ting looked at the photo and couldn't help but laugh.
"I have already taught it a lesson."
"Well, good night."
"Good night."
The next morning, Li Ting and her roommates were all lounging in the dormitory.
"Li Ting, do you want to order takeout?" Xiao Mei asked.
"I was just about to ask you," Li Ting replied.
"Then let's order," Xiao Min said.
"Okay, I'll place the order," Xiao Mei said.
Suddenly, Li Ting's phone rang.
"Wait a minute." She picked up her phone and saw that it was Lu Hao calling.
"Hello?" she answered the call.
"Are you awake?" Lu Hao asked.
"Just woke up," Li Ting replied.
"Perfect," Lu Hao said, "I ordered takeout for you; it should arrive soon."
"Huh?" Li Ting was taken aback, "Why did you order takeout for me?"
"You didn't want to go out, right?" Lu Hao said, "So I just ordered it for you to save you the trip."
Li Ting realized that Lu Hao had ordered takeout because she didn't want to go out, and a sweet feeling welled up in her heart.
"Thank you," she said softly.
"You're welcome," Lu Hao chuckled, "Alright then, bye-bye."
"Bye-bye." Li Ting hung up the phone.
"Who was that?" Xiao Mei asked curiously.
"Lu Hao," Li Ting replied.
"Did he order takeout for you?" Xiao Mei asked in surprise.
"Yeah," Li Ting nodded.
"Wow, he's so considerate?" Xiao Mei exclaimed.
Li Ting pressed her lips together, remaining silent, but felt a sweetness in her heart.
After a while, the takeout arrived.
There were four servings of dishes: four meat dishes, two vegetable dishes, and soup, making it quite a feast.
"Lu Hao is quite generous," Xiao Mei remarked.
"Yeah," Xiao Min chimed in, "Li Ting, you're lucky."
Li Ting smiled but didn't say anything, though she strongly agreed in her heart.
She took a photo and posted it on her social media with the caption: "Thanks to Senior Lu Hao for the takeout."
Lu Hao quickly commented: "Is it good?"
"Very good," Li Ting replied.
"That's great," Lu Hao responded.
Li Ting felt another wave of sweetness as she read his comment.
"Hey, Li Ting," Xiao Mei suddenly leaned in, "Do you think Lu Hao might be interested in you?"
Li Ting was taken aback for a moment before denying it, "No way, stop guessing."
"How is that not possible?" Xiao Mei said. "He treats you to dinner and orders takeout for you; it's obvious he likes you."
"He's just being polite," Li Ting explained.
"Not at all," Xiao Mei insisted. "He clearly has feelings for you."
"Please stop talking about it," Li Ting sighed helplessly. "I don't want to discuss this topic anymore."
"Alright," Xiao Mei shrugged. "I won't say anything more."
Li Ting secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
