Zheng Yi doesn't have much luggage, you could say he has almost no luggage. He grew up in an orphanage and didn't have extra money to buy clothes. He would wear a T-shirt until it was so faded that you couldn't see the original color, but he refused to throw it away. Fortunately, he had a good figure and was tall, like a walking clothes hanger. He always kept himself clean and tidy, so he didn't end up looking sloppy and shabby. 0

After much thought, Zheng Yi found the newest piece of clothing from his meager wardrobe, which was bought for him by the orphanage director before he went to college. It was almost time for Liu Wang to finish class, and according to Liu Changsheng's request, he had to go to the school gate to pick up Liu Wang and take him home. 0

Although he didn't know Liu Wang, he knew that The Liu family was not an ordinary family, and Liu Wang had been pampered by Liu Changsheng since he was young, so his temper might be a bit arrogant. If they met for the first time and he was dressed shabbily, it would undoubtedly embarrass Liu Wang. It wouldn't be conducive to their future cohabitation under the same roof. 0

Soon, he saw Liu Wang at the school gate. Most of the students around were in groups of three or five, heading home, but Liu Wang was walking alone on the school road quietly. Among the many weak high school students, Zheng Yi, as a police academy student, naturally stood out. Most of the passing female students pretended to glance at Zheng Yi casually, then quickly avoided eye contact, and left with their companions, laughing and joking. Liu Wang, on the other hand, had wired earphones on and passed by Zheng Yi slowly, as if she hadn't seen him at all. Zheng Yi silently followed Liu Wang for several tens of meters, realizing that she still hadn't noticed being followed by someone. He couldn't help but feel annoyed by her vigilance, so he stepped forward, grabbed her backpack, and pulled her in his direction. 0

Liu Wang was obviously startled, her beautiful peach blossom eyes widened, and her lips pursed in surprise, revealing sweet dimples. Zheng Yi suddenly realized that they were standing too close, close enough for him to see his own reflection in Liu Wang's pupils. He couldn't help but release his grip on Liu Wang's backpack, take a big step back with his long legs, and create some distance between himself and the girl in front of him. After locking eyes with Liu Wang's clear and beautiful gaze, Zheng Yi momentarily forgot what he wanted to say, coughed a few times to cover it up, and was about to speak when Liu Wang beat him to it. "I know who you are. You're the police academy student my dad sent to track me, aren't you?" 0

Upon hearing this, Zheng Yi raised an eyebrow. Liu Wang's delicate eyebrows furrowed slightly as she looked at Zheng Yi as if he were a fool. "What's wrong with you? Why are you bothering me? I was listening to my English listening exercises just fine, and you've interrupted me. Now I have to start over," she said with a hint of anger, shaking the earphone cord. Her dimples appeared, making her seem less angry and more like a grumpy little cat. 0

Zheng Yi awkwardly touched his nose, momentarily at a loss for words. After a long pause, he finally said, "You keep listening, I'll be behind you watching over you." 0

For the next three months, Zheng Yi maintained the same distance from Liu Wang. She listened to her English exercises in front, while he protected her from a few steps away. Apart from saying hello when they met and goodbye when they parted, they didn't exchange a single word. 0

Zheng Yi thought that as long as he caught the criminals and ensured Liu Wang's safety, he would return to the campus and continue on his own life path. So he worked even harder to find clues about the two escaped criminals. Soon, the fugitives revealed their true colors. 0
One rainy night, Zheng Yi single-handedly confronted the two of them, even when they had knives, and managed to capture them, but he was seriously injured. 0
Liu Wang was late leaving school that night because she was cleaning. When she came out, she didn't see the familiar face of Zheng Yi, and she couldn't help but feel a little panicked. After asking around, she found out that she no longer had to worry about the retaliation of those two villains, but the cost was Zheng Yi being stabbed ten times and lying in the ICU on the brink of death. 0

Regarding Zheng Yi, Liu Wang felt guilty, so she indirectly found out Zheng Yi's birthday from her father and spent a lot of money to customize an electronic watch for him from abroad. The watch looks ordinary, similar to those on the market, but it is fully functional. In addition to telling time and direction, it also has a flashlight, hidden camera, recorder, and some rare forensic technology. 0

When customizing the watch, Liu Wang was thinking that Zheng Yi could stay safe during missions, so she specifically asked veteran police officers about life-saving tools they use during missions and tried to incorporate as much as possible into the watch. 0

The day Zheng Yi escaped from the hands of death happened to be his 20th birthday. As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw the girl silently wiping away tears in front of him. Seeing him wake up, Liu Wang finally cried out loud, "Wah, wah, wah... The doctor said if you didn't wake up today, you would probably be lying here for the rest of your life... Wah, wah, wah... I almost couldn't give you the expensive watch I bought." 0

He was a little annoyed by the noise, but keenly caught the key point from Liu Wang's crying tone. "What watch?" he weakly asked. 0
Liu Wang was not polite either. "It's the birthday gift I bought for you. Today is your birthday. Happy birthday, Zheng Yi. Good fortune follows after surviving a great disaster. I wish you can live to be a hundred!" 0
Looking at Liu Wang's tearful face, something quietly blossomed in Zheng Yi's heart. Since losing his parents, no one had celebrated his birthday, and no one remembered his birthday... 0

Before Zheng Yi could figure out his feelings for Liu Wang, she suddenly left the country without any warning. On the day Liu Wang left, Zheng Yi happened to be busy with school matters. When he finished and went to the school gate to meet Liu Wang, he didn't see her anywhere. 0

Zheng Yi waited at the school gate from daytime until late at night, only to be told that she had been sent to a country across the Pacific by Liu Changsheng. In all their previous interactions, Liu Wang had never mentioned her plans to leave the country, which left him feeling cold. 0

The youthful infatuation was thus stifled in its cradle. He and Liu Wang never heard from each other again. 0
