The attacks from the Demon God fell like raindrops, and I swung my Silver Needle, barely managing to fend them off. Du Ming was beside me; despite his severe injuries, he continued to fight with all his might. "Lingxi, do you remember what that voice said? The forgotten... Sealing Land..." Du Ming gritted his teeth, his voice trembling with pain.
Of course, I remembered. That voice was like a lighthouse in the darkness, giving us hope. But where exactly was the forgotten place? Was it merely an illusion born from our despair?
"Boom!" The Demon God smashed a small mountain with a single blow, sending rocks flying everywhere, forcing us to dodge clumsily. "We can't keep going like this!" I thought anxiously; if this continued, we would die here!
At that moment, I suddenly felt a strange energy fluctuation coming from not far away. This energy wave was faint yet exceptionally clear, as if guiding us. "Du Ming, can you feel it?" I grabbed his arm and asked urgently.
Du Ming also sensed the energy fluctuation, a glimmer of surprise flashing in his eyes. "Let's go check it out!"
We rushed towards the source of the energy wave without hesitation, but the Demon God noticed our intent and roared angrily as he chased after us. However, we couldn't afford to think about that; as long as there was a glimmer of hope, we wouldn't give up.
The energy wave grew stronger until we arrived at a hidden valley. The valley was filled with the sounds of birds and fragrant flowers, brimming with spiritual energy, in stark contrast to the demonic aura outside.
"This place..." I looked around, filled with confusion. Could this be the Sealing Land mentioned by that voice?
Suddenly, an ancient voice rang in our ears: "You have finally arrived, children."
We turned towards the sound and saw an old man sitting cross-legged beneath a towering ancient tree. His hair and beard were white, yet he appeared vigorous and his eyes sparkled with vitality.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"I am the guardian of this place," the old man said slowly. "You may call me Qingyun Daoist."
"Qingyun Daoist?" Du Ming stepped forward. "Do you know how to seal the Demon God?"
Qingyun Daoist nodded. "To completely seal the Demon God, you must gather two treasures: Tears of the Stars and Moon Essence."
"Tears of the Stars? Moon Essence?" I murmured; these names sounded legendary. "But where can we find them?"
Qingyun Daoist smiled slightly and pointed to a clear spring deep within the valley. "The Tears of the Stars lie beneath this spring."
I felt a surge of joy and was about to step forward when Qingyun Daoist stopped me. "Wait," he said. "Beneath this spring lies a powerful restriction; only those with a Pure Yang body can enter."
I was instantly stunned. A Pure Yang body? In the entire Cultivation World, those with such a body were extremely rare; where could I find someone like that?
Du Ming took my hand and said softly, "Don't worry; I'll find a way."
He turned to Qingyun Daoist and asked, "May I ask where the Moon Essence is?"
Qingyun Daoist stroked his beard and replied slowly, "The Moon Essence is formed from condensed moonlight and is rarely seen in a hundred years. I have observed the celestial phenomena and discovered that seven days from now will be the full moon night; at that time, the Moon Essence will appear in Falling Moon Valley."
"Falling Moon Valley?" Du Ming pondered for a moment. "I know that place."
I felt somewhat reassured; it seemed that things had not yet reached a point of despair.
We thanked Qingyun Daoist and left the Sealing Land. Upon returning to the Du Family, I recounted the events to my father.
After listening, my father furrowed his brows and said, "Tears of the Stars, Moon Essence... It seems this matter is more complicated than we imagined!"
"Dad, do you have any solutions?" I asked anxiously.
After a moment of contemplation, my father replied, "I will mobilize all the resources of our family to search for these two treasures."
Du Ming also said, "I'll send someone to Falling Moon Valley right away to make preparations."
I nodded, filled with gratitude. With them by my side, I believed we could overcome any difficulties.
At that moment, Bai Wei rushed in.
"Lingxi, I heard you found clues about sealing the demon god?" she asked eagerly as soon as she entered.
I briefly explained the situation to her.
After listening, Bai Wei pondered for a moment and said, "Tears of the Stars and Moon Essence... I feel like I've heard of them somewhere."
She pulled out an ancient book from her bag and began flipping through it.
"Got it!" Bai Wei suddenly exclaimed, "I've found records about Tears of the Stars!"
I quickly leaned in to take a look. The ancient text read: "Tears of the Stars, an ancient artifact with the ability to purify all evil forces. Legend has it that Tears of the Stars is hidden deep within Kunlun Mountain, guarded by a Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox."
"Kunlun Mountain? Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox?" I was taken aback; it seemed that obtaining Tears of the Stars would not be easy.
Bai Wei closed the ancient book and said, "Lingxi, I will do my best to gather information about Tears of the Stars for you. Don't worry."
I nodded gratefully; with Bai Wei's help, our chances of finding Tears of the Stars had increased significantly. "Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox..." I murmured to myself, envisioning that beautiful and mysterious creature from legends. Kunlun Mountain is one of the most perilous places in the Cultivation World; obtaining Tears of the Stars from a Nine-Tailed Celestial Fox would be no small feat.
Seeing my worried expression, Du Ming gently held my hand and comforted me, "Don't worry; where there's a will, there's a way. We will find a solution."
His gaze was firm yet gentle, as if containing boundless strength, gradually calming my previously restless heart.
"Yes, we will find a way," I took a deep breath and regained my spirits.
Just then, Du Ming's phone suddenly rang. He answered the call, and his expression grew serious.
"What did you say? Are you sure?" Du Ming's voice was low and urgent.
A sense of unease gripped me as I sensed something was amiss.
"Okay, I understand. I'll head over immediately," Du Ming hung up and turned to me with a complex look in his eyes.
"What's wrong?" I asked anxiously.
"My people just received news that an unusual energy fluctuation has been detected near the Kunlun Mountains, likely the location of the Tears of the Stars," Du Ming said solemnly. "But..."
"But what?" A sense of foreboding rose in my heart.
"The demon clan has also sensed the presence of the Tears of the Stars and has already sent people to the Kunlun Mountains," Du Ming's tone was grave. "We must find the Tears of the Stars before they do!"
Without further thought, Du Ming and I immediately set off towards the Kunlun Mountains.
The Kunlun Mountains were towering and steep, shrouded in mist, resembling a fairyland. Yet beneath this beautiful scenery lay endless danger.
We fought our way through obstacles and finally arrived at the place where the energy fluctuations were strongest—a deep canyon.
"The Tears of the Stars should be right inside," I said, looking at the bottomless canyon before me, filled with anticipation and unease.
However, just as we were about to enter the canyon, a powerful demonic aura suddenly descended from above, surrounding us completely.
"Hahaha, human brats, you finally made it!"
Accompanied by a chilling laugh, a demon clad in black robes with a sinister face appeared before us, wielding a black long knife that emanated a bone-chilling cold.
"Who are you?" Du Ming asked warily, positioning himself in front of me.
"I am one of the four guardians under the Demon Lord, Black Sha!" the black-robed demon declared arrogantly. "Today, you will meet your end here!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Black Sha swung his black long knife and launched a fierce attack on us.
I was taken aback and quickly summoned my magical artifact to defend myself.
A great battle was about to erupt!
