Yu Min smiled and patted her hand, "Alright, you’ve worked hard too. Sit down and rest for a while."
Zhao Shu nodded and obediently sat down on Yu Min's other side.
Zhao Yi looked at the three of them, smiling, "Okay, you all sit down. No need to stand."
Li Xiaolu nodded and also sat on the sofa.
Yu Min looked at her, "Lulu, I heard you've been living in the apartment recently?"
Li Xiaolu nodded, "Yeah, it's closer to school, so I'm staying there for now."
Yu Min slightly nodded, "Just be careful."
Li Xiaolu smiled, "I know."
Yu Min looked at her, hesitating to speak.
Noticing her unusual demeanor, Li Xiaolu asked, "Mom, do you have something to say?"
Yu Min hesitated for a moment and shook her head, "It's nothing... never mind, just get some rest early."
Li Xiaolu looked at her in confusion. Seeing that she was unwilling to say more, she stopped asking and nodded, "Okay."
After dinner, Li Xiaolu went back to her room to rest.
She lay in bed, tossing and turning but couldn't fall asleep.
Her mind was filled with thoughts of Jijun.
He said he was going back to Hong Kong; wouldn’t it be difficult for them to meet again?
The thought made Li Xiaolu feel heavy-hearted.
She really wanted to be with Jijun no matter where he went; she would follow him anywhere.
But...
Li Xiaolu turned over and looked out at the dark night outside, letting out a deep sigh.
The next day, Li Xiaolu went to school with two big dark circles under her eyes.
Zhang Lin was startled when she saw her appearance. "Lulu, did you go out stealing last night?"
Li Xiaolu yawned and shook her head. "No, I just couldn't sleep."
Zhang Lin was surprised. "Couldn't sleep? Why were you unable to sleep?"
Li Xiaolu pressed her lips together. "Well... I suddenly thought of a lot of things."
Zhang Lin blinked and leaned closer to her. "What things? Do you have something on your mind?"
Li Xiaolu hesitated for a moment and gently nodded.
Zhang Lin immediately became interested. "What’s on your mind? Hurry up and tell me."
Li Xiaolu looked at her. "If you were to celebrate your boyfriend's birthday, what gift would you give him?"
Zhang Lin was taken aback, then looked at her with a teasing expression. "Celebrating your boyfriend's birthday? Do you have a boyfriend now?"
Li Xiaolu's cheeks flushed slightly as she lowered her gaze. "Not yet, I’m just asking casually."
Zhang Lin didn't believe her. "I don’t buy it. With that lovestruck look on your face, you definitely have a boyfriend."
Li Xiaolu quickly shook her head. "I really don’t; I just..."
"Just what?"
Li Xiaolu bit her lip. "Just... I might have a boyfriend."
Zhang Lin's eyes lit up. "Oh? Who is it?"
Li Xiaolu hesitated for a moment. "I can't tell you yet."
Zhang Lin pouted. "Hmph, stingy."
After thinking for a moment, she asked, "Do you like him?"
Li Xiaolu nodded without hesitation. "Of course."
Zhang Lin blinked. "What’s his zodiac sign?"
Li Xiaolu thought for a moment. "It should be Gemini."
Zhang Lin had a knowing expression on her face. "I knew it! You must like Gemini."
Li Xiaolu smiled. "Because he really is outstanding."
Zhang Lin rolled her eyes. "Gemini is the most fickle; you should be careful not to get fooled by him."
Li Xiaolu shook her head. "He won't."
Zhang Lin huffed. "How do you know he won't? Men are all changeable."
Li Xiaolu smiled but didn't respond.
Zhang Lin looked at her. "I really didn't expect you to like Gemini; I always thought you would prefer Cancer or Capricorn."
Li Xiaolu replied with a smile, "I didn't expect it either."
She had once thought she would be attracted to stable and mature men, but after meeting Jijun, she realized that this was actually her type.
Zhang Lin sighed. "Well, you better be careful; Gemini can be troublesome."
Li Xiaolu chuckled. "I know."
