September, the start of the school season. 0

In the dormitory, Su Wan was awakened by a rhythmic ringtone, not an alarm, but an incoming call. As she reached out from under the covers to find her phone, she heard Yao Ye's slightly angry voice from the next bed: "Damn! It's five-thirty! Who's so inconsiderate!" 0

Then she heard Su Wan's slow response: "Xu Chengyang..." 0

Still in a daze, her hand slipped and accidentally pressed the speakerphone button. Suddenly, a passionate voice came from the other end of the line: "Guan Guan! Long time no see, I've missed you! I'm on the bus! Tell Yao Ye! You’ll see me as soon as you wake up!" 0

On the first night back at school, Yao Ye unsurprisingly couldn't sleep. She tossed and turned until three in the morning before finally falling asleep, only to be woken up now by Xu Chengyang's inappropriate call. Anger surged through her, and without waiting for Su Wan to speak, she snatched the phone away and exclaimed indignantly: "Xu Chengyang, if you were here right now, I would definitely strangle you!" 0

"…" 0

Well, Su Wan always thought that Xu Chengyang was the only lively character in their dorm. 0

When she woke up again, it was already bright outside. The sun shone generously through the curtains onto the tiled floor of the dormitory. 0

Today was the day for returning students to check in. Three years ago, Su Wan had entered Yan Chuan University Affiliated College of Music with excellent grades. This year marked her fourth year of university, and as graduation approached, nothing was more important than her thesis and… internship. 0

After getting ready, Su Wan grabbed her "big treasure" and headed out with Yao Ye. 0

"My head..." Yao Ye still hadn't recovered from her sleepless night. She raised her hand to rub her temples and spoke coldly, "I really need to have a serious 'talk' with Xu Chengyang tonight!" 0

"…Yao Yao, impulsiveness is the devil," Su Wan gently patted Yao Ye's head and smiled slightly. 0

“Guan Guan, sometimes I really wish I were a man…” Looking at Su Wan's charming little face, Yao Ye shook her head helplessly and chuckled. 0

After thinking for a moment, Su Wan said, “Then I will definitely marry you.” 0

Upon hearing this, Yao Ye playfully pulled Su Wan closer and excitedly pinched her delicate, fair cheek: “Just for that! Let’s go! I’ll treat you to breakfast!” 0

By the time they finished breakfast and arrived at the department, it was already ten-thirty, the peak time when people were everywhere. Knowing that Su Wan had to go out to teach in the afternoon, Yao Ye hurriedly dragged her to the counselor's office to get their paperwork done. 0

As noon approached, the temperature rose even higher, and with so many people in the building, both of them were drenched in sweat by the time they stepped outside. 0

Yao Ye gulped down some mineral water and took a deep breath: “With everyone coming at this time, we might as well wait for Xu Chengyang to come back and go together!” 0

Su Wan wiped the sweat from her forehead and silently nodded. 0

“Su Wan—” A familiar male voice called out from not far away, prompting both of them to instinctively turn their heads. 0

Gu Ming, dressed casually, looked radiant. 0

Seeing him approach, Yao Ye nudged Su Wan with her elbow and said, “Hey, your admirer.” Then she covered her mouth and giggled. 0

Ignoring her, Su Wan slightly nodded: “Senior Gu.” 0

Gu Ming, a second-year graduate student from the Piano Department. He was handsome and bright, with excellent grades. According to Xu Chengyang, he was also an heir to a certain group—a typical rich second generation. To outsiders, Gu Ming might seem like an exceptional man, but in Su Wan's eyes… well… he was just like any ordinary person… 0

“Have you finished your registration?” He looked at Su Wan with a sunny smile. She wore a light beige pleated dress with thin straps that revealed her collarbone and smooth shoulders. On her feet were delicate strappy sandals, and the wide hem of her dress subtly concealed her slender ankles. Her hair was tied up in a ponytail, with some loose strands casually tucked behind her ear. Her cheeks were slightly flushed, and her long eyelashes fluttered as she blinked. Her thin lips held a faint smile, and dimples appeared on her cheeks. After not seeing her for two months during summer vacation, Gu Ming felt his heart race once again upon seeing her. 0

"Um..." Su Wan lowered her head and tugged at Yao Ye's sleeve, signaling her to say something. 0

After three years as roommates, Yao Ye understood immediately. "Ahem... Senior, there's nothing going on, so we'll be leaving now!" 0

Seeing his crush about to leave, Gu Ming instinctively grabbed the strap of her Cello case. "Wait..." 0

Su Wan glanced at his hand holding the strap, then looked up at him. Gu Ming immediately released his grip and asked, "Are you going to see the foreign teacher today?" 0

Noticing him glance at the Cello on her back, Su Wan nodded. "Yes." 0

"Then let me give you a ride! My car is just..." He reached into his pocket to pull out his keys. 0

"No need." Su Wan frowned slightly and coldly interrupted him, linking arms with Yao Ye and walking out of the teaching building without looking back. 0

"…" 0

Su Wan didn't dislike Gu Ming, but she certainly didn't have feelings for him either. 0

"Hahahahaha..." 0

Su Wan stopped in her tracks, staring at Yao Ye, who was laughing uncontrollably beside her. "…" 0

Yao Ye once again wrapped her arm around Su Wan's neck. "Guan Guan... Hahahahaha... Guan Guan... Do you know why Xu Chengyang and I love you so much?" 0

Su Wan: "…" 0

Yao Ye: "Guan Guan, your attitude of not caring about the worldly affairs is simply amazing! Didn't you see Gu Ming's frustrated expression? It's quite amusing, haha!" 0

Su Wan smiled, "You're too kind." 0

Yao Ye cleared her throat a couple of times, unable to suppress her laughter, and playfully draped her arm over Su Wan's shoulder: "Guan Guan, let's be serious. Have you really considered Gu Ming? He's quite a good young man, isn't he?" She extended her fingers to count for Su Wan, "Look, he's good-looking, wealthy, and a top student. In our Music Academy, which is dominated by females, he's really quite exceptional." 0

"Why don't you go for him?" 0

Su Wan replied casually and unhurriedly. 0

Yao Ye wrinkled her nose and shivered slightly: "Oh... never mind... I can't handle a man like that." She then playfully poked Su Wan's chin with her finger, "Indeed, the one who truly captures my heart is only you, Sumerian." 0

Su Wan tilted her chin up and glanced at Yao Ye's finger before softly asking, "Your Majesty, shall we head back to the palace?" 0

Yao Ye proudly lifted her chin and raised her hand again to rest on Su Wan's shoulder: "Come on, Consort, let’s go explore the rivers and mountains!" 0

Su Wan: "..." 0

At 22 years old, Su Wan was undoubtedly inexperienced in love. If one were to say that a fulfilling life required three romantic relationships, Su Wan felt that one would suffice. Although this idea often became a joke for Yao Ye and Xu Chengyang, she always took her time when it came to men and love. 0

Yao Ye's "little lamb" stopped in front of a double iron gate. After taking off her helmet and placing it on the electric scooter, Su Wan slung her instrument over her shoulder and reminded, "Be careful on your way back." 0

Yao Ye waved her small hand and reassured, "Don't worry! And don't forget you have a wedding performance tonight!" 0

Su Wan nodded, "Yes... Miss Fu's driver will take me there, please drive slowly." 0

Yao Ye started the small car, "After the evening ends, Xu Chengyang and I will come to pick you up!" Then he pressed the accelerator to the floor and drove onto the main road. 0

The Fu Family mansion is located halfway up a hill; it is a typical European Baroque-style building. Behind the wrought iron gate is a spacious driveway, flanked by neatly trimmed white rose hedges that lead directly to the main entrance of the Fu Residence. Su Wan extended her index finger and pressed the doorbell beside the gate. After a moment, the door slowly opened. 0

Not long after Su Wan walked along the hedge wall, she heard the sound of a luxury car approaching from behind. Turning her head, she saw a prestigious Bentley Flying Spur V8 slowly passing by her side. Through the one-third open rear window, she caught a glimpse of a young man with his head bowed. 0

When Su Wan reached the main entrance of Fu Residence, Butler Vincent was standing by the door with a smile on his face as he looked at her. The V8 had already driven away from the front gate. Su Wan thoughtfully glanced at the car heading towards the garage and smiled slightly at Butler, "Hello, Mr. Vincent." 0

"Miss Su," Butler replied politely, his smile deepening, "Our young master has returned." 0

"Yes..." Feeling as if her thoughts were being read, Su Wan's cheeks suddenly flushed, and she unconsciously tugged at her skirt. 0

Vincent chuckled lightly, noticing her small gesture, and reassured her, "The young master is a very graceful person; Miss Su need not feel constrained." 0

She had heard from Miss Fu about a younger brother who had lived abroad for over ten years; she was just surprised that this legendary second young master of the Fu Family had suddenly returned to the country. Nodding, Su Wan smiled and asked, "Has Fan Fan finished school yet?" 0

Butler glanced at his watch and replied, "I believe she should be on her way back now. You can rest in the living room for a while." 0

Su Wan waved her hand, "No need, no need. Can I go to the Piano Room to practice for a bit?" 0

Butler smiled, "Of course, please feel free." 0

This was Su Wan's first job as a cello tutor. By chance, she met Miss Fu and after several interactions, it was only natural for her to start teaching Miss Fu's daughter cello. She had been teaching here for over a year now, and the pay was excellent. Moreover, Ye Fan was an obedient and eager-to-learn little girl who was quite endearing. 0

As soon as Fu Weiheng entered the study, he tossed his suit onto the sofa with one hand and loosened his tie, unfastening two buttons with the other. He then leaned back in the comfortable massage chair, closing his eyes to rest. Having just returned to the country, he clearly had not yet adjusted to the time difference, and the busy morning left him feeling exhausted. With his eyes closed, his eyelashes fluttered lightly, and his thin lips were pressed together, suggesting a hint of agitation. 0

The study was about seventy square meters in size, with bookshelves over three meters high lining the walls, neatly organized with various collections and biographies of famous individuals. In front of the bookshelf was a decorative fireplace topped with a large crystal chandelier, and the walls were paneled in deep red wood. 0

In this lazy and tranquil afternoon, the ginkgo trees in the courtyard rested comfortably. Occasionally, a gentle breeze would pass by, causing the ginkgo leaves to rustle as if cute little fairies were dancing gracefully. 0

Suddenly, a deep and lingering sound of cello music filled the grand residence. It was a soft and soothing piece, like a gentle narrative that tugged at the heartstrings. 0

"Amazing Grace"? 0

Fu Weiheng kept his eyes closed, his brows slightly furrowed. 0

It was also cello music, also "Amazing Grace." The blurred figure of that girl from London Park four years ago still lingered in his mind. 0

As memories flashed by, Fu Weiheng suddenly got up and walked to the low cabinet beside the fireplace. He took out an item from inside and placed it on the desk. Opening the box revealed a beautifully crafted small violin. Its body was orange-yellow with a tiger-striped pattern on the back; its surface gleamed as if freshly polished, while four slender strings and a long bow made it look elegant. 0

He reached out, his long fingers lightly plucking one of the strings, and a bright sound instantly shattered the silence of the room. 0

How long had it been since he played? Two years? Or three? 0

The rich sound of cello music filled his ears again, like a hypnotic lullaby with melodies that ebbed and flowed, sometimes distant and sometimes near, sometimes strong and sometimes soft. He picked up the violin, adjusted its tuning slightly, then tilted it under his chin with his left hand holding it and his right hand grasping the bow. He closed his eyes and began to harmonize with this beautiful piece as he followed the melody of the cello. 0

The high notes of the violin responded to the deep tones of the cello, creating a colorful addition to this leisurely afternoon. 0

As the piece ended, Su Wan put down her bow, frowning in confusion. She seemed to have just heard the sound of a violin. 0

"Teacher Su!" 0

A clear child's voice rang out at the door. Su Wan turned her head and smiled, "Fan Fan is back?" 0

"Yes! Teacher Su, this piece is really beautiful!" Ye Fan put down her backpack and happily walked up to Su Wan, her round, smooth face glowing with a rosy hue. 0

Su Wan gently ruffled the girl's delicate hair, her eyes smiling. "When Fan Fan grows a little older, I'll teach you to play this piece, okay?" 0

"Okay!" 0

"Guan Guan, I'm really sorry to keep you waiting for so long." Fu Weijin entered the room carrying a children's cello, looking slightly apologetic. "Today, Fan Fan's teacher arranged for everyone to do a big cleanup at school, so we got out late." 0

Su Wan quickly waved her hand in reassurance. "No, no, I just arrived not long ago." 0

The woman in front of her smiled brightly, her ethereal and refined demeanor resembling a classical beauty stepping out of a mural. Every time Su Wan saw Fu Weijin, she thought to herself that she didn't look like a mother of a five-year-old at all. 0

Fu Weijin chuckled lightly, her features picturesque. "Then I won't disturb you any longer." She turned and left the room. 0

After placing the violin into its case, Fu Weiheng closed the lid and pondered for a moment before turning to walk towards the door. Just as he twisted the door lock, his phone on the desk suddenly buzzed. 0

Fu Weiheng paused for a moment and walked over to the desk to answer it. "What's going on?" 0

"Sir," assistant Zhang Lin said on the other end, "the branch office in America is waiting for you to start the video conference." 0

Furrowing his brows, he hung up the phone and sat back in his office chair, opening his computer. The gentle expression he had moments ago instantly turned cold and serious. 0

After nearly an hour of video conferencing, Fu Weiheng shut down the computer. Rubbing his eyes, he picked up a box of Su Yan nearby, took out a stick, and was about to light it when he suddenly recalled the sound of the cello from earlier. Looking up, he was captivated by a slender figure outside the floor-to-ceiling window. She had a cello slung over her left shoulder, her high ponytail cascading down her snow-white neck. The wide hem of her skirt swayed with her hurried steps as her delicate white hands fumbled to pull out her phone from her bag. 0

"Just got out of class and came right over..." 0

Her gentle yet slightly anxious voice echoed in the courtyard. 0

Fu Weiheng found himself almost involuntarily rising and walking to the window, watching her as she walked away. 0

It was just a piece of music and a silhouette, yet he was lost in thought. Frowning slightly, he tossed the crumpled Su Yan into the trash can. 0

A knock sounded at the door. Fu Weiheng sat back down in his chair and murmured a response. The butler entered upon hearing him and placed a crimson invitation in front of him. "Sir, this is an invitation to tonight's banquet for the daughter of Ke Group." 0

He closed his eyes and pondered for a moment. "Leave it." 0

Such social gatherings were the last thing he wanted to attend, but the head of Ke Group was a friend of his grandfather's; no matter how reluctant he was, he couldn't embarrass the old man. 0

The butler bowed slightly and prepared to leave. However, Fu Weiheng spoke again, his voice cool: "Who was playing the cello just now?" 0

Vincent turned back with a smile: "It was Miss Fan Fan's cello teacher." 0

Fu Weiheng opened his eyes and gazed out the window, his deep eyes calm and quiet. "Understood. You may go." 0
