The mountain road wound its way up, and halfway up the slope, the distant mountains overlapped like rolling waves, clear and magnificent under the summer sun.
After having lunch outside at noon, the two drove directly to the cemetery.
Having had a good night's sleep, Su Wan felt energetic at this moment. The cool breeze in the mountains prompted her to roll down the car window, resting her head on the window ledge and letting the refreshing wind greet her face.
After a while, as they navigated through several bends, Fu Weiheng glanced at Su Wan, whose long hair was tousled by the wind, and said, "Get your head inside."
Although the wind muffled much of his voice, Su Wan understood him clearly and turned to look over.
"The wind in the mountains is too cool; staying out for too long can easily lead to catching a cold," he explained as he raised his hand to press the button to close the window.
Su Wan replied, "...Okay."
Then they sat in silence... until ten minutes later when they arrived at the open-air parking lot outside the cemetery.
As they passed by the security booth on their way into the cemetery, Su Wan intentionally leaned her head in to take a look. She noticed that the security guard sitting inside, enjoying the air conditioning, was not Uncle He. She paused in surprise, thinking that perhaps he had changed shifts, and then she linked arms with Fu Weiheng and headed into the garden.
As usual, they bought lilies to place in front of her father's gravestone. Fu Weiheng squatted down and carefully examined the black-and-white photo on the stone for a moment. Suddenly, he smiled faintly with mixed emotions.
Seeing him smile, Su Wan curiously asked, "What’s wrong?"
"Nothing..." Fu Weiheng replied as he used a handkerchief to wipe off some dust from the photo. He stood up and looked at her with a smile: "I just feel that we are destined to be together for a lifetime."
In this vast sea of people and myriad lives;
Only you and I truly understand each other.
You and I have made a promise.
May there be years to look back on, and may we share deep feelings until we grow old together.
Everything is not too late.
Su Wan smiled lightly and turned to bow slightly to the tombstone. "Dad, I'm getting married today." She raised her hand to point at Fu Weiheng beside her, "With him."
Fu Weiheng leaned forward and bowed solemnly. "Dad, I will... take care of her for the rest of my life."
His clear voice was as calm as usual, yet it carried a thousand unspoken words.
Su Wan looked at his elegant features and smiled again, softly saying, "Yes, Dad agreed."
The August wind carried a hint of warmth, tousling her ponytail. The afternoon light slanted across her side, elongating her shadow. Her fair and beautiful face was adorned with dimples; when she smiled, her gentle brows and eyes were captivating, like the willows swaying by the riverside.
A flutter in his heart, Fu Weiheng reached out and embraced her, whispering close to her ear, "Wife."
The warm breath brushed against her ear, instantly flushing her cheeks.

In the evening, when they returned to Fu Residence for dinner, Old Master Fu was overjoyed to learn that the couple had obtained their marriage certificate. Without hesitation, he insisted that Su Wan accompany him to the study.
Su Wan readily complied, leaving Fu Weiheng to assist Fu Quan as they went upstairs.
Upon entering the study, the old man walked straight to a safe behind a low cabinet. He took out a brocade box and handed it to Su Wan, saying, "Open it and take a look."
Su Wan followed the instructions, pried open the small lock, and opened the box. What caught her eye was a bright jade bracelet.
Confused, she looked up at Fu Quan.
The latter smiled, revealing the weathered wrinkles on his face. "This is prepared by Grandma Xiao Hang. This bracelet is meant for her granddaughter-in-law."
Su Wan was taken aback.
"I wanted to give it to you the last time you came, but at my age, I forget things easily. I just suddenly remembered," Fu Quan said, his eyes filled with deepening warmth. "Guan Guan, take it. We are all family now, so don’t think about refusing."
After he said that, Su Wan swallowed the words of rejection that were on her lips and smiled instead. "Thank you, Grandpa. Thank you, Grandma."
Fu Quan patted her shoulder with satisfaction and pretended to head towards the door. Su Wan quickly reached out a hand to support him.
He said, "Now, Grandpa hopes that you and Wei Hang will give me another great-grandchild soon, while I'm still around..."
Su Wan paused in her steps and said earnestly, "Grandpa, you will live to be a hundred years old."
Fu Quan was momentarily taken aback by her sudden serious expression, then he burst into laughter, his voice hoarse. "I'll take your good wishes."
Su Wan replied, "Mm."
That evening, the two stayed overnight at Fu Residence.
After Su Wan finished her shower and came out of the bathroom, she found Fu Weiheng already in the guest room, having taken a shower as well. He was wearing a cotton short-sleeve shirt and sports shorts, leaning against the headboard with a bedside lamp on while reading a book.
She stood at the bathroom door for a while, suddenly realizing... tonight seemed to be their wedding night.
Having just finished blow-drying her hair, the areas touched by the hairdryer still felt a bit warm. At that moment, this realization popped into her mind, and the warmth that had been floating on her skin instantly seeped into her bones, making her feel itchy all over. Even with the air conditioning on indoors, she felt quite uncomfortable.
Su Wan calmly moved her neck and casually walked to the other side of the bed, lifting the thin blanket and slipping underneath.
The air conditioning vent was on the side of the bed, and as she sat down, the cool breeze blew over her, alleviating some of the heat and making her feel much more comfortable.
Fu Weiheng glanced over at her and asked, "What did you talk about with Grandpa?"
She reached for her phone on the bedside table and thought for a moment. "A secret."
Fu Weiheng narrowed his eyes but didn't press further, turning his attention back to the book in front of him.
Su Wan raised an eyebrow subtly and opened the Weibo app she had downloaded some time ago, refreshing it.
Her thumb slid across the screen a couple of times until she stumbled upon a trending topic: How Did You Fall in Love with Your Partner?
Su Wan paused for a moment, genuinely thinking about it...
Then she glanced at the exceptionally handsome man beside her and impulsively asked, "When did you start liking me?"
Fu Weiheng paused in turning the page, turned his head slightly, and organized his memories in his mind before replying leisurely, "...The third time I met you, when you said I was a capitalist and not a good match."
Su Wan was taken aback for a moment, recalling that she indeed had said something like that...
She followed up with a question: "Did that spark your desire to conquer?"
Desire for Conquest?
Fu Weiheng furrowed his brows and corrected, "No, it started back in London."
Su Wan exclaimed, "Love at first sight?"
Someone raised an eyebrow, noncommittal.
Later, Sumerian pondered for a long time and scoffed, "Fu Weiheng, you were just attracted by her looks!"
Mr. Fu raised an eyebrow, glanced at her without speaking, turned off the wall lamp after putting down the book, and rolled over to her, starting to unbutton her nightgown.
Su Wan, lost in thought, grabbed his hand that was unbuttoning her: "...What are you doing?"
He lowered his body, bit her earlobe, and said in a deep voice, "Attracted by looks."
Su Wan: "……………"
Thus, on their wedding night, Mrs. Fu was thoroughly "attracted."

The next afternoon, Fu Weiheng and Su Wan met with Jiang Yun for lunch.
For convenience, Jiang Yun chose Magic as the location and specifically ordered some dishes that Su Wan loved.
When the two of them arrived, the waiter was just about to serve the dishes. Since it was just the three of them for this meal and they were family after all, they didn't stand on ceremony. After a simple greeting, they took their seats.
During a meal, Jiang Yun suddenly spoke up, "Guan Guan, Mom will be going back to London tomorrow. Albert hasn't been feeling well lately..."
Albert is Su Wan's half-brother.
Su Wan took a bite of her beef and looked up at her mother, showing no other emotion, "Mm."
Jiang Yun pressed her lips together and continued, "I will go to your competition early that day, but I won't be able to accompany you for practice these days." She then turned to Fu Weiheng, "Neil, when you go to America, please take good care of her."
Fu Weiheng smiled and nodded, "Of course, Mom. You can rest assured."
After giving her instructions, Jiang Yun felt a bit more at ease. However, seeing Su Wan silent made her feel somewhat uneasy.
Su Wan took a bite of rice before speaking, "Mom, be careful on the road." She lowered her gaze, a subtle emotion flashing in her eyes. Her tone was somewhat stiff but sincere, "...When my brother feels better, we can take him to Yan Chuan to play."
Jiang Yun was taken aback for a moment. She relaxed her grip on the chopsticks and smiled with delight, "That sounds great!"
Fu Weiheng noticed her small emotional shift and subtly curved his lips while serving soup.
A week later, Su Wan and Fu Weiheng set off for the competition in San Francisco.
They were accompanied by Fu Weijin, Ye Fan, Mu Qing, Fu Yiyuan, and Old Master Fu. During Fu Weiheng's absence, Ye Yinhua would manage Endless's affairs. Although Mr. Ye was reluctant to be apart from his wife, he had an important project at his own company that required his attention and could not afford to leave.
On the day of departure, the sky was clear with no wind—perfect for flying.
Recently, due to excessive piano practice, Su Wan had been feeling fatigued and had trouble sleeping at night. As soon as she boarded the plane, she leaned against Fu Weiheng and fell asleep. She slept heavily throughout the flight from takeoff to landing, only waking up when Fu Weiheng forced her to have lunch.
In early September in San Francisco, the temperature is relatively low, unlike Yan Chuan, where even by the end of September, it can feel like a blazing fireball.
The competition is scheduled for September 7th, and they arrived three days early to adjust to the time difference and adapt to the local environment, aiming to participate in the competition in the best possible condition.
Upon exiting the airport, they saw two Maiba He S-Class cars waiting. Su Wan looked at Fu Weiheng in disbelief before finally opening the car door and getting in.
The car drove for about an hour before coming to a steady stop in front of a hotel that looked exceptionally luxurious from the outside.
As Su Wan got out of the car, she looked up at the towering building amidst the clouds and caught sight of a familiar word—Venus.
Venus?
At that moment, Fu Weiheng, who had gone to pick up her violin, happened to walk over. Su Wan turned her head in disbelief and asked him, "Is this... your family's Venus?"
Fu Weijin had just gotten out of the car and heard her words; he chuckled softly, "Guan Guan, Endless's assets are not to be underestimated."
Su Wan: "……………"
After over ten hours on a plane, Old Master Fu was exhausted and immediately asked Fu Yiyuan to take him to his room to rest upon entering the hotel.
At that moment, it was around three o'clock in the afternoon in America. Su Wan had slept for more than ten hours on the plane and was no longer tired. She returned to her room intending to call her aunt to report her safety but suddenly remembered that it was only a little past three in the morning in Yan Chuan. Instead, she decided to call Jiang Yun.
Jiang Yun was at Heathrow Airport checking in for her flight to San Francisco to meet Su Wan when she received Su Wan's call just after passing through security.
"Guan Guan, have you arrived?" Jiang Yun asked as she walked toward the boarding gate.
Su Wan stood by the hotel window, looking down at the bustling streets of San Francisco. "Yes, I just arrived at the hotel."
Jiang Yun found a spot to sit down. "Mom is at the airport, her flight to San Francisco is at eleven o'clock London time."
Su Wan asked, "How long will it take?"
Jiang Yun glanced at his watch. "It should be around ten o'clock in the evening when she arrives in the U.S."
Su Wan turned and walked toward the bathroom. "Then I'll have Neil send someone to pick her up."
Jiang Yun paused for a moment before agreeing, "Okay."
Su Wan said, "Make sure to take care of yourself, Mom."
After hanging up the phone, Su Wan strode into the bathroom and leaned against the doorframe, watching Fu Weiheng as he bent over to wash his face. She said, "Neil, Mom will arrive at the airport at ten o'clock tonight. Can you send someone to pick her up?"
He splashed some water on his face again, and as he lifted his head, the water flowed down his clearly defined features and disappeared into the collar of his shirt. Su Wan quickly grabbed two tissues and handed them to him.
Fu Weiheng took the tissues and wiped his face dry before tossing the crumpled paper into the trash can. He reached out and ruffled her hair as he walked toward the bed. "Do you think I wouldn't have made this little preparation?"
Su Wan followed behind him, confused. "Huh?"
He raised his hand to unbutton his shirt, speaking slowly. "I've already arranged it. When the time is right, someone from the hotel will go to the airport to pick up Mom."
Su Wan smiled with delight and stood in front of him obediently unbuttoning his shirt. "Thank you."
Fu Weiheng let her continue unbuttoning while he bent down and pecked her on the lips. "In that case, come sleep with me."
Before Su Wan could react, Mr. Fu had already wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her onto the big bed, holding her tightly in his embrace.
His buttons were still not undone when Su Wan tugged at the half-unbuttoned front of his shirt and reminded him, "Your shirt will get wrinkled."
As soon as she finished speaking, Fu Weiheng sat up and quickly removed his clothes, also pulling off Su Wan's dress in the process, wrapping himself around her as he dove back into the blankets.
Su Wan looked at the body that suddenly covered her and blushed as she asked, "Aren't you going to sleep?"
Fu Weiheng lowered his head and kissed her chest, his voice low and ambiguous. "Wife, doing some appropriate exercise before sleep helps with rest."
Su Wan: "..."
Only this thick-skinned Mr. Fu could speak of such intimate moments with such righteous words.
As they engaged in their pre-sleep activities, Fu Weiheng was poised beneath her, ready to go, yet he hesitated to proceed.
Su Wan furrowed her brows in impatience but was too shy to urge him to continue. She reached out and pinched him. "You... hurry up..."
Fu Weiheng chuckled mischievously and replied in a hushed tone, "Wife, change how you address me."
Su Wan: "... Wh-what?"
"Call me something else..."
Su Wan understood his intentions all too well. She shifted slightly and felt the desire beneath her. Turning her blood-red face away, she softly called out, "... Husband."
In the next moment, he surged forward fiercely, leaving no room for retreat as he passionately intertwined with her.
