Although Bao Rui is the youngest, he is quite clever and stands a bit taller than Liu Guanfeng. He is lean like a bamboo pole but has a spirited appearance with clear features, fair skin, and a way with words. When he grows up, his charm and looks will surely attract the attention of many girls.
Soon, the assessment began. The Knight Academy divided all the students into several groups. Liu Guanfeng, along with Bao Rui, Copper Bull, and others, was placed in one group consisting of sixty candidates.
An examiner approached Liu Guanfeng's group. This examiner was in his thirties. He looked at the sixty candidates before him and said:

Du Zhenyang placed his hands on the attribute stone, which began to emit a golden light. Once the golden light stabilized, a layer of earthy yellow appeared at the bottom of the attribute stone, creating a dividing line at the second-to-last scale. Above it was a dazzling gold, while below it was earthy yellow.
"Not bad, Metallic at level eight, Earth Attribute at level two," Examiner Liang noted while recording.
Next, Copper Bull showed nine layers of Fire Attribute and one layer of Earth Attribute; Iron Bull had nine layers of Earth Attribute and one layer of Fire Attribute; Nangong Hongxiu had eight layers of Wood Attribute and two layers of Metallic; Zhang Rong had nine layers of Water Attribute and one layer of Wood Attribute; Bao Rui reached ten layers of Fire Attribute.
Finally, it was Liu Guanfeng's turn. He excitedly placed his hands gently on the attribute stone, and beams of light flickered across its surface. When all the lights stopped flickering, Examiner Liang reported with a hint of regret, "Five Element Attributes each at two layers."
The first day's testing concluded like this.

With his legs spread apart for stability, he exerted force with both arms. The fifty-pound Stone Lock slowly rose above his head and remained there for about five seconds before he dropped it onto the ground.
After Examiner Liang recorded everyone's results, they were taken to a secluded area. Behind Examiner Liang was a large box that opened to reveal several small boxes inside. Everyone lined up to receive one small box each. Upon opening their boxes, they found a round small stone inside, adorned with many shiny dots.
At this moment, Instructor Liang said, "The small stone in front of you is called Meridian Stone. The shiny dots on the Meridian Stone represent Fighting Qi; however, the content of Fighting Qi within is very minimal. All candidates placed their Meridian Stones in their palms and sat down. After about ten minutes, everyone opened their eyes; at this point, all shiny dots had turned white, while some had turned gray.
Liu Guanfeng's Meridian Stone had all its dots turned white.
