Thinking of this, the girl's face turned even redder as she awkwardly lowered her head. But then she thought to herself, it's just showing a shoulder, what's the big deal? Besides, the other party is just a seven-year-old boy; why should she be so shy?
How could she have lived for hundreds of years and still be like this! The girl silently scolded herself. Once her mood settled, she broke into a dazzling smile. "My name is Yui. What is your name, Benefactor?"
The boy had returned to sit by the fire and answered nonchalantly, "Nuo."
"Oh." Yui carefully propped herself up and looked around the unfamiliar cave, asking, "What is this place?"
"A cave."
How embarrassing! A typical one-word answer; this little kid is really dull, Yui thought to herself.
After a moment of silence, Nuo glanced at Yui's shoulder and asked, "Why is your blood silver? What exactly are you?"
His voice was as cold as dust frozen for years. Yui was momentarily taken aback, staring directly into Nuo's deep and dangerous eyes, sending a chill down her spine.
This human child is so frightening.
"I... I'm not human."
Well, she admitted she lacked courage. However, this was her weakest moment; even a small human could easily crush her.
For example: This person in front of me.
A cold light flashed in Nuo's eyes as Yui swallowed hard, pretending to look scared.
"What do you mean? Be clear."
"I... I am the Child of the Nature God of Rain."
"Nature Deity? You're a deity?" Nuo raised an eyebrow, his gaze piercing into Yui.
Yui nodded slightly, avoiding that intense gaze. Oh, she felt so useless; if Wind, Thunder, and Lightning found out, they would definitely laugh at her for the rest of her life.
Nuo found it ridiculous. A deity? Something from legends actually appearing? If he hadn't just seen those things, he would have slapped this girl who was talking nonsense right in front of him.
Nuo glanced at her disdainfully. "Is there such a useless deity like you?" His voice was low, but it was loud enough for Yui to hear.
Yui's face flushed again as she shouted hoarsely, "What do you mean useless? I am the Child of Rain, possessing great magical power..."
Nuo coldly interrupted her, "Then what about now?"
