I quickly pushed the man away and growled, "Get out of here!"
The man staggered back a few steps from my force, looking at me in disbelief, as if he were seeing me for the first time. But he quickly regained his composure, showing no hesitation as he turned and ran toward the bushes.
"Trying to escape? Too late!" the figure in black robe laughed maniacally, changing his hand gestures, causing eight Demon to simultaneously turn and chase after the man.
"Looking for death!" I narrowed my eyes, my figure darting out like a wraith, blocking the man's path. My hands moved swiftly, shooting out beams of golden light from my fingertips, which transformed into runes in mid-air, instantly striking several Demon.
The Demon let out piercing screams, their dark energy scattering, but they quickly reformed and continued to charge at me.
I sneered; these Demon, though fierce, were nothing more than minor characters to me. My form flickered unpredictably as I weaved between the Demon, the golden light from my fingertips flashing continuously as I defeated them one by one.
Seeing my strength, the figure in black robe's expression turned grim. He gritted his teeth and pulled out a black orb from his pocket, chanting incantations under his breath.
The black orb emitted an eerie glow, and the surrounding air felt as if it had been drained away, creating an overwhelming sense of oppression.
A chill ran through me; this figure in black indeed had some tricks up his sleeve. That orb was likely not an ordinary object!
He tossed the orb into the air, where it hovered above his head, casting a dark light that enveloped the entire Bagua Formation.
"Ha ha ha..." The figure in black let out a sinister laugh. "Today you will witness my power!"
He clasped his hands together forcefully and shouted, "King of Ghosts, descend!"
The black orb suddenly erupted with blinding light as a powerful force surged from it, forming a massive black vortex that seemed ready to swallow everything.
I was taken aback; this power even made me feel a hint of threat!
In the black vortex, a massive black figure slowly emerged. It was a giant several dozen feet tall, formed entirely of black mist. It had no facial features, only a huge mouth filled with sharp teeth, exuding a nauseating stench of decay.
"Roar—"
The Demon King let out a deafening roar, the sound waves slicing through the air like blades, destroying all the surrounding trees.
My expression turned grave; the power of this Demon King far exceeded my imagination!
"Die!" The figure in the black robe pointed at me and said fiercely.
The Demon King took heavy steps toward me, each step causing the ground to tremble violently, as if it might collapse at any moment.
I took a deep breath, channeling all my strength to its peak, preparing for this fierce battle.
At that moment, a white figure suddenly appeared beside me. I turned to look and was shocked to see the young man!
"What are you doing? Get out of here!" I shouted angrily.
"No, I want to fight alongside you!" the young man said firmly.
"Are you crazy? This is not a place for you!" I said anxiously.
"I know, but I can't leave you alone!" The young man looked at me, his eyes filled with concern and affection.
My heart trembled; this man...
"Roar—"
The Demon King was already closing in, his massive fist carrying an overwhelming force, crashing towards me.
Without a second thought, I pushed the young man aside and met the Demon King's punch with one of my own.
"Boom—"
With a loud explosion, my fist collided with the Demon King's, sending a powerful shockwave radiating outwards from us, leveling everything in its path.
I let out a muffled groan as my body was knocked back several steps, a trickle of blood escaping from the corner of my mouth.
The Demon King's strength was even greater than I had imagined!
"Hahaha, you overestimate yourself!" The figure in the black robe laughed triumphantly at the sight.
I wiped the blood from my mouth, my gaze sharpening.
"I admit, your power is impressive," I said coldly to the figure in black. "But do you really think this will defeat me?"
Taking a deep breath, I slowly raised both hands, gathering a dazzling golden light between my palms.
"Today, let me show you what true power really is!"
