"Whose car is this?"
"I don't know."
"It seems to belong to that outsider."
"Outsider?"
"The one who lives on the mountain."
"Oh, so it's him."
"..."
The villagers were discussing among themselves, pointing at Zhao Xiaosong and the driver.
Zhao Xiaosong ignored them and turned to the driver, saying, "Wait here, I'll go find someone."
"Okay, young master," the driver nodded in response.
Zhao Xiaosong glanced at him, then turned and walked straight into the village.
After walking for a while, he stopped.
He looked around and realized that the environment was very unfamiliar; he didn't know the way at all.
He frowned, took out his phone, and dialed a number.
The phone rang a few times before it was answered.
"Hello?" A deep male voice came from the other end.
"It's me," Zhao Xiaosong said calmly.
"Xiaosong?" The male voice sounded slightly surprised.
"Yeah," Zhao Xiaosong replied.
"Why are you calling me?" the man asked in confusion.
"I'm lost in your village," Zhao Xiaosong said in a calm tone.
"What?" The man exclaimed in surprise, "You're in our village?"
"Yeah," Zhao Xiaosong confirmed.
"Where are you? I'll come find you," the man said hurriedly.
"I don't know where I am; can you help me find someone to guide me?" Zhao Xiaosong replied lightly.
"Sure, no problem. Just wait for me a moment," the man said before hanging up the phone.
Zhao Xiaosong put his phone back in his pocket and looked up at the night sky, waiting quietly.
After a few minutes, a motorcycle roared up and stopped in front of him.
"Xiaosong." The rider took off his helmet, revealing a handsome face—it was Liu Guangcai.
"Guangcai," Zhao Xiaosong said, looking at him and nodding slightly.
"What brings you to me?" Liu Guangcai asked.
"I found a girl unconscious on the mountain. I carried her to the car and was going to take her home, but I don't know where her home is," Zhao Xiaosong explained.
"An unconscious girl?" Liu Guangcai frowned slightly upon hearing this.
"Yes," Zhao Xiaosong replied.
"Then follow me," Liu Guangcai said, putting on his helmet and starting the motorcycle.
Zhao Xiaosong nodded and got on the motorcycle, riding into the village with Liu Guangcai.
The motorcycle traveled along the path, and soon they arrived at the center of the village.
At this point, many villagers had gathered around, discussing Zhao Xiaosong's vehicle.
"Look, this car is so beautiful."
"Yeah, it's my first time seeing such a beautiful car."
"Whose car is this?"
"I don't know."
"..."
The villagers were enthusiastically commenting on the car.
Just then, the village chief rushed over.
"Everyone, please make way for me," he said, pushing through the crowd to reach the vehicle.
"Hello, sir," the village chief said respectfully as he approached Zhao Xiaosong.
"Hello," Zhao Xiaosong replied with a slight nod.
"May I ask what brings you to our village?" the village chief inquired politely.
"I found this girl on the mountain; she was unconscious, so I brought her down and am preparing to take her home," Zhao Xiaosong explained.
"A girl?" The village chief frowned slightly upon hearing this.
He glanced at the vehicle and then turned to the villagers, shouting, "Does anyone recognize this girl?"
"Chief, this seems to be Li Xiumei," an Aunt said after examining the vehicle for a while before suddenly calling out.
"What? Is it Xiu Mei?"
"Is it really Xiu Mei?"
"Oh my, how did she end up here?"
"..."
Upon hearing Aunt's words, the villagers erupted into chatter.
"Please calm down; we'll find out soon enough," the village chief waved his hand to signal everyone to quiet down.
The villagers fell silent, waiting for the chief's decision.
After pondering for a moment, the village chief turned to Zhao Xiaosong and asked, "Sir, may I open the car door to take a look?"
"Sure," Zhao Xiaosong nodded.
The village chief saw that he agreed and turned to a nearby woman, saying, "Sister-in-law, could you please help me open the car door?"
"Sure," the woman replied, then stepped forward, reaching out to gently grasp the car door handle.
She exerted all her strength and pulled hard.
The car door swung open.
The woman leaned in to look inside and saw a girl lying there, her eyes tightly closed and her face pale, looking very weak.
"It's Xiu Mei, it really is Xiu Mei," the woman exclaimed excitedly.
"Is it really Xiu Mei?"
"Oh my, how did she end up here?"
"..."
The villagers erupted in chatter upon hearing the woman's words.
"Everyone, please be quiet," the village chief raised his hand to signal for silence.
Seeing the village chief speak, the villagers had no choice but to suppress their excitement and confusion, stopping their discussions.
Once everyone quieted down, the village chief turned to Zhao Xiaosong and said, "Sir, I truly appreciate you finding Xiu Mei. She is Sun Qiuhua's daughter, and I will take you to find Sun Qiuhua now."
"Thank you for your trouble," Zhao Xiaosong nodded slightly in response.
"You're welcome; it's what I should do," the village chief waved his hand.
Then, the driver drove off with the girl named Li Xiumei, leaving the village together.
Seeing that there was nothing more to watch, the villagers dispersed in small groups.
As night deepened, a crescent moon hung high in the sky, with stars twinkling beautifully.
Zhang Xiaoxiao sat in the courtyard, looking up at the night sky.
"Zhang Xiaoxiao, are you very tired?" the system couldn't help but ask.
"Mm," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied softly.
"Why do you never seem to get enough sleep?" the system said helplessly.
"I don't know either," Zhang Xiaoxiao shook her head and replied.
"Could it be that you're a reincarnation of the God of Sleep?" the system said in exasperation.
