Zhang Xiaoxiao pulled Xiao Liang away from the crowd to avoid being caught up in the commotion caused by the male lead. 0

"Sister-in-law, aren't we going to watch the excitement?" Xiao Liang asked. 0

"We shouldn't just be gossip listeners; we need to be gossip carriers," Zhang Xiaoxiao said meaningfully. 0

"What do you mean?" Xiao Liang didn't understand. 0

"It means we should be the ones who grasp the source of the gossip," Zhang Xiaoxiao explained. 0

"Oh, I see," Xiao Liang said, suddenly enlightened. 0

"Good that you understand," Zhang Xiaoxiao patted Xiao Liang's head. 0

"Where are we going now?" Xiao Liang asked. 0

"Home," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied. 0

"Okay," Xiao Liang nodded. 0

Zhang Xiaoxiao held Xiao Liang's hand and walked home. As they passed by Li Xiumei's house, they saw Zhao Xiaosong's car parked outside her yard. The driver, Xiao Li, was sitting inside the car waiting. 0

Xiao Liang had never seen a car before and found it very novel. 0

"Sister-in-law, what is this?" Xiao Liang asked. 0

"This is a car," Zhang Xiaoxiao said. 0

"A car?" It was the first time Xiao Liang had heard of it. 0

"Yes," Zhang Xiaoxiao nodded. 0

"How does it run?" Xiao Liang asked curiously. 0

"Because it has wheels," Zhang Xiaoxiao explained. 0

"What are wheels?" Xiao Liang inquired. 0

"Wheels are..." Zhang Xiaoxiao suddenly didn't know how to explain. 0

"What are they?" Xiao Liang pressed on. 0

"Next time I take you to the city, you'll know," Zhang Xiaoxiao said. 0

"Alright," Xiao Liang nodded. 0

"Xiao Liang, what color of car do you like?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked. 0

"I like red ones," Xiao Liang replied. 0

"Why?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked. 0

"Because red looks nice," Xiao Liang said. 0
"And what else?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked. 0
"Well..." Xiao Liang thought for a moment and then said, "Red is the color of the red scarf." 0
"Are you looking forward to going to school?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked. 0
"Yes," Xiao Liang nodded. 0
"In a few years, you will be able to go to school," Zhang Xiaoxiao said. 0
"Really?" Xiao Liang asked in surprise. 0
"Really," Zhang Xiaoxiao confirmed with a nod. 0
"That's great," Xiao Liang said happily. 0
While they were chatting, Li Xiumei returned. 0
She saw Zhang Xiaoxiao and Xiao Liang standing outside her yard and immediately felt displeased. 0
"What are you doing at my house?" Li Xiumei asked. 0
"We're not doing anything," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied. 0
"Not doing anything? Then why are you standing here?" Li Xiumei questioned. 0
"We're just standing here; we didn't enter your yard, so why do you care?" Zhang Xiaoxiao retorted without backing down. 0
"You’re standing at my doorstep, of course I have to care," Li Xiumei said. 0
"We're on the village road, not in your yard; do you really have the right to interfere?" Zhang Xiaoxiao countered. 0
"You..." Li Xiumei was left speechless by Zhang Xiaoxiao's rebuttal. 0
"What about me?" Zhang Xiaoxiao said. 0
"You two get lost," Li Xiumei said angrily. 0
"Why should we leave?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked. 0
"This is my doorstep," Li Xiumei stated. 0
"We know that," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied. 0
"If you know, then why aren't you leaving?" Li Xiumei asked. 0
"We like being here; it's none of your business," Zhang Xiaoxiao said. 0
"You two..." Li Xiumei was so infuriated by Zhang Xiaoxiao that she couldn't find words to respond. 0
Sun Qiuhua was talking with Zhao Xiaosong when she suddenly heard the commotion outside the yard. 0
She hurried out and saw Li Xiumei arguing with Zhang Xiaoxiao. 0
"Xiu Mei, what are you arguing about?" Sun Qiuhua asked. 0
"Mom, they're standing at our doorstep and won't leave," Li Xiumei pointed at Zhang Xiaoxiao and Xiao Liang and said. 0

"Stop wandering around outside all day and delay her from coming home," Sun Qiuhua scolded. 0

"Mom, why are you scolding me?" Li Xiumei replied defiantly. 0

"You've been running around all day; what's wrong with me saying a few words to you?" Sun Qiuhua said. 0

"Where have I been running around?" Li Xiumei retorted. 0

"Do you dare to talk back?" Sun Qiuhua said angrily. 0

"I..." Li Xiumei wanted to say something, but seeing Sun Qiuhua's anger, she had to swallow her words. 0

"Go inside quickly," Sun Qiuhua said. 0

Li Xiumei stormed into the house. 0

Sun Qiuhua sighed and then turned to Zhang Xiaoxiao, saying, " Xiaoxiao, don't mind her; I've spoiled this girl." 0

"Aunt Sun, it's fine. I'm just joking with Xiu Mei," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied with a smile. 0

"That's good," Sun Qiuhua nodded. 0

"Aunt Sun, we're leaving now," Zhang Xiaoxiao said. 0

"Alright," Sun Qiuhua nodded. 0

Zhang Xiaoxiao held Xiao Liang's hand and left Li Xiumei's doorstep. 0

Sun Qiuhua watched Zhang Xiaoxiao and Xiao Liang leave, feeling a bit uneasy. She actually liked Zhang Xiaoxiao as a daughter-in-law, but... 0

Sun Qiuhua shook her head and walked into the house. 0

"Where's Xiu Mei?" Zhao Xiaosong asked. 0

"She just came back and is in her room," Sun Qiuhua replied. 0

"Then I'll wait," Zhao Xiaosong said. 0

"If you have something to do, you can go ahead; I can help you tell Xiu Mei," Sun Qiuhua offered. 0

"I'm fine; I can wait," Zhao Xiaosong said. 0

"Alright then," Sun Qiuhua nodded. 0
