Zheng Yi and Liu Wang have not had a proper conversation since they reunited. Perhaps it's because Zheng Yi always puts up a defensive front, trying hard to protect the little dignity he has left in front of Liu Wang. 0

Although Zheng Yi is still resentful of Liu Wang's sudden departure years ago, deep down he believes that Liu Wang had nothing to do with the deaths of Wang Mingyang and Mr. He. He knows Liu Wang too well - she's the kind of girl who dares to report a pyramid scheme operation using her real name, a girl who is fiercely against evil and stands up for justice. She wouldn't commit murder in a police station. 0

The interrogator on the side began questioning Liu Wang, "Why did you and Mr. He visit Wang Mingyang?" 0

"I just said, because he is a pitiful person. When you were rescuing me, didn't you see it too? Wang Mingyang's house was empty, there was nothing decent at all. Isn't that enough to stir your compassion?" Liu Wang raised an eyebrow and asked. 0

Zheng Yi crossed his arms and leaned back slightly, a habit of his during interrogations. Whenever he made this move, the imposing demeanor he had cultivated over many years in the police force quickly filled the entire interrogation room, making the interrogator sitting on the side almost breathless. 0

"Wang Mingyang is the kidnapper, and Miss Liu's compassion is so overflowing that she can still spare the attention to observe the kidnapper's family situation while being kidnapped?" Zheng Yi started to press aggressively, but he knew in his heart that Liu Wang was indeed someone who might take action. 0

During the limited time they spent together, Zheng Yi noticed that the daughter of the wealthy family lacked nothing except money and love. Her school bag always contained pet snacks, and whenever she encountered stray cats or dogs on her way home from school, she would always stop to care for them. 0

On the other side, Liu Wang was clearly not intimidated by Zheng Yi's momentum, but instead wore a confident smile. "He did indeed kidnap me, but he was not the initiator, was he, Officer Zheng?" 0

Watching Liu Wang's smug expression, Zheng Yi inexplicably found it somewhat amusing, yet also expected. He never dared to underestimate Liu Wang's intelligence; perhaps Liu Wang had seen through the intricacies of this kidnapping case even earlier than he had. 0

The trick is that Wang Mingyang did indeed kidnap Liu Wang, but it was not for the purpose of trafficking. Instead, it was to guide the police to investigate certain truths. However, Zheng Yi currently has no clue about what these truths are. 0
"Wang Mingyang didn't give me much sedative. I woke up halfway. Strangely, when he saw that I was awake, he didn't sedate me again, nor did he tie me up with a rope. He just locked me in the room and brought me some food. I was still able to move freely at that time." 0
"After about an hour or two, he tied me up, but the binding was not very tight. It looked secure to others, but I could easily free myself. After setting up the room as a kidnapping scene, he immediately left. Not long after, I saw your figures." 0

Now Zheng Yi is completely certain that the kidnapping of Wang Mingyang is not as simple as it seems. It's really interesting how Zheng Yi silently admires the mastermind behind this chess game. 0
"Miss Liu, what did you say and do when visiting Wang Mingyang? This will affect your suspicion, so take it seriously." The interrogation returned to the topic of Wang Mingyang's murder. 0
"After I finished writing my statement, I happened to find out that Wang Mingyang was being questioned nearby, and I had to pass by there on my way out of the police station, so I just greeted him on the way." 0

"I simply asked him some questions about his family, wanting to know what material help I could provide for him, such as sponsoring his child's education and the like." 0
"Of course, my ultimate goal is not that simple. I want to use the pretext of caring to first get closer to him and see if I can pry out his true intentions for kidnapping me from his mouth." 0

After finishing the interrogation of Liu Wang, He Hanwen walked in. "Wait for me outside for a moment, I'll be right there. I'll drive you home later." 0

Liu Wang smiled and nodded at him, their interaction looking very natural and close, like good friends who had known each other for many years. 0

As the door to the interrogation room closed, Zheng Yi immediately crossed his arms and sneered, "Mr. He, so confident? What if your suspicion is too great and you get detained here?" 0

"I am certainly very confident about things I haven't done." He Hanwen had a gentle smile on his face, but there was a subtle sharpness behind his glasses. 0
Zheng Yi snorted, "Whether you've done it or not, it's not for you to decide with just your words." 0
In the subsequent interrogation, He Hanwen's testimony was completely consistent with Liu Wang, and the police could not find any anomalies. 0

At the same time, Forensic pathologist extracted an unknown chemical component from Wang Mingyang's body, which was identified as a drug that stimulates the heart and can cause myocardial infarction if overdosed. However, the drug takes at least a few hours to take effect, meaning that Wang Mingyang had already taken the drug before coming to the police station. As a result, Liu Wang and He Hanwen were cleared of suspicion and released. Now, not only is the kidnapping case at a standstill, but Wang Mingyang's death has also reached a deadlock. 0
