Under the starry night sky, the city's neon lights flicker like a colorful dream. Inside an elegantly styled restaurant, the atmosphere of the celebration dinner is lively and warm. Bai Huaiyu and Jiang NanJin, along with colleagues from the publishing house, gather together to celebrate this moment.
The restaurant's decor is elegant and minimalist, with soft lighting casting a warm glow on everyone's faces, adding to the cozy ambiance. Bai Huaiyu wears a delicate evening gown, the hem flowing gracefully around her. A smile graces her face, and her eyes sparkle with excitement. Jiang NanJin is dressed in a well-tailored suit, exuding a relaxed demeanor. His gaze carries a playful glint, seemingly eager for what is about to unfold.
The curtain rises on the dinner, with warm lights casting a glow over the elegantly decorated table. Each dish is a work of art, exuding enticing aromas. From the delicate appetizers, like the cloud-like seafood salad, to the richly colored main courses, such as classic beef bourguignon, and finally to the stunning desserts, like the crispy-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside chocolate lava cake, everything is mouthwatering and showcases the extraordinary significance of this banquet.
Colleagues are seated around the table, creating a lively and harmonious atmosphere. Bai Huaiyu sits nearby, her eyes sparkling with surprise as she seems somewhat at a loss in front of the delicious dishes. Next to her is Jiang NanJin, who sits in his usual lazy posture, occasionally savoring the food in his hands with an expression of enjoyment.
Amidst a lighthearted conversation, Bai Huaiyu accidentally spilled sauce on her skirt, and her cheeks immediately flushed with embarrassment as she hurriedly grabbed a napkin to wipe it off. Seeing this, Jiang NanJin raised an eyebrow slightly and said in a teasing tone, "It seems even the skirt can't resist this delicious food."

Jiang NanJin, seeing this, lightly quickened his pace and soon walked up to her side. He reached out and gently wrapped his arm around her shoulder, half teasing and half comforting as he said, "Alright, alright, I admit you are the source of my inspiration. Is that acceptable?" His voice was deep and magnetic; even in jest, it brought an inexplicable sense of reassurance.
This sudden gesture left Bai Huaiyu slightly taken aback, causing her heart to race a little. However, she quickly regained her composure and softly replied, "Fine, I will reluctantly accept your acknowledgment." After saying this, she also reached out and gently grasped his hand. In that moment, their gazes met in the night, as if an invisible emotion was flowing between them.
They continued to stroll down the street, everything around them feeling exceptionally peaceful, with only the occasional passing vehicle breaking the silence. Bai Huaiyu suddenly stopped, pointing to a small shop not far away, and excitedly said, "Look, that shop's ice cream is famous! Let's go try some!"
Jiang NanJin smiled slightly and nodded. The two then walked towards the small shop. The warm lighting inside and the variety of ice creams dazzled the senses. Bai Huaiyu eagerly selected her choices like a child, while Jiang NanJin quietly stood by, watching her busy figure with soft light sparkling in his eyes.
After choosing their ice cream, the two found a window-side seat and sat down. Bai Huaiyu excitedly scooped up a spoonful of ice cream and brought it to her mouth. The pure sweetness made her eyes light up, and she couldn't help but exclaim, "It's really delicious! You should try it too." With that, she scooped another spoonful of ice cream and held it up to Jiang NanJin's lips.
Jiang NanJin tilted his head slightly and gently bit into the spoonful of ice cream. The cold sweetness spread in his mouth, causing him to squint his eyes as if savoring the unique flavor. He softly said, "It really is good; no wonder you like it so much."
As they took turns savoring the ice cream, the atmosphere between them grew increasingly harmonious. Bai Huaiyu's smile was as warm as the spring sunshine, while Jiang NanJin accompanied her in his unique way. In that moment, they seemed to forget the passage of time.
