At Wang Changgui's home, Granny Wang held Qian Baoli's hand and continuously complained about her daughter-in-law, Chen Shuying. 0

Qian Baoli looked sympathetic. "Sister Chen is really pitiful. After the divorce, she has to raise a child on her own. Life must be very hard for her." 0

"What's so pitiful about her? I knew she couldn't have children when she married in. My son is kind-hearted and willing to marry her; otherwise, who would want a divorced woman with a burden?" Granny Wang said disdainfully. 0

"Sister Chen is truly unfortunate," Qian Baoli shook her head and sighed, though there was a hint of pride in her tone. 0

"What does she have to be pitiful about? She has good fortune; my son is kind-hearted, which allows her to live well in our village. Otherwise, as an outsider, who knows how much she would be bullied!" Granny Wang snorted coldly. "Baoli, don't learn from her. A woman should uphold her duties; once divorced, it's hard to remarry." 0

"I understand, Auntie," Qian Baoli said shyly, lowering her head. 0

"That's good to hear," Granny Wang nodded in satisfaction. 0

Wang Changgui listened to their conversation with delight. He felt that marrying Chen Shuying was the best decision he ever made, and now he could also marry Qian Baoli. He fantasized about becoming the son-in-law of the factory manager and soaring to success, having as much money as he wanted, no longer living a poor life in the village. 0

The more he thought about it, the better it seemed, completely oblivious to how harsh Granny Wang's words were or how fake Qian Baoli's expression was. Although Qian Baoli didn't like Chen Shuying, seeing her end up like this still made her feel a bit uncomfortable, and Granny Wang's words were too harsh. However, she didn't intend to remind Granny Wang since she had no close ties with Chen Shuying and didn't want to offend her future mother-in-law over it. 0

"Baoli, after some time, let's choose an auspicious day and get things done," Granny Wang said. 0

"Auntie, isn't that too soon?" Qian Baoli feigned shyness. 0

"Too soon? You've already agreed to marry our Changgui; we will be family sooner or later. The sooner you get married, the sooner you can settle down," Granny Wang replied. 0

"Auntie, then I'll go back and tell my parents," Qian Baoli said. 0

"Good, good. Hurry back and tell them," Granny Wang urged. 0

"Auntie, I'll take my leave now," Qian Baoli said. 0

"Go ahead," Granny Wang waved her hand. 0

After Qian Baoli left, Granny Wang turned to Wang Changgui and said, "Son, you are really lucky to meet such a good girl like Baoli. You must cherish this opportunity." 0

"Don't worry, Mom. I will," Wang Changgui smiled. 0

"Just don't treat Baoli poorly like you did with Chen Shuying," Granny Wang warned. 0

"Mom, how could I dare?" Wang Changgui replied with a bitter smile. 0

"I know you wouldn't dare," Granny Wang snorted coldly. 0

"Mom, I'm going out now," Wang Changgui said. 0

"Go ahead," Granny Wang waved him off. 0

After Wang Changgui left, Granny Wang wore a proud smile on her face. She felt that her son was truly lucky to be able to marry such a wonderful girl as Qian Baoli. 0

When Qian Baoli returned home, her feelings were somewhat complicated. She felt some sympathy for Chen Shuying's situation, but she did not regret her own actions because she had her own pursuits and wanted to live a good life. Although Chen Shuying treated her well, she could not provide the life she desired, so she had no choice but to sacrifice Chen Shuying. 0

Qian Baoli secretly decided that after she married Wang Changgui, she would help take care of Xiao Liang for Chen Shuying. 0

Zhang Xiaoxiao lay in Zhao Guangcai's arms, sleeping soundly. Zhao Guangcai sat by the bed, watching Zhang Xiaoxiao's peaceful sleeping face with a doting smile. He gently stroked Zhang Xiaoxiao's cheek, his eyes filled with affection. 0

Zhao Guangcai kept watching Zhang Xiaoxiao until she opened her eyes. 0

"Awake?" Zhao Guangcai asked gently. 0

"Mm." Zhang Xiaoxiao stretched lazily. "When did you come back?" 0

"Just a little while ago," Zhao Guangcai replied with a smile. 0

"You've been sitting here the whole time?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked in surprise. 0

"Mm," Zhao Guangcai nodded. 0

"Why didn't you wake me up?" Zhang Xiaoxiao complained. 0

"I saw you sleeping so soundly that I couldn't bear to wake you," Zhao Guangcai said with a smile. 0

"Did I sleep for a long time?" Zhang Xiaoxiao wondered. 0

"Mm, quite a while," Zhao Guangcai chuckled. 0

"Then why didn't you wake me?" Zhang Xiaoxiao widened her eyes. 0

"I was afraid you were tired," Zhao Guangcai explained with a smile. 0

"Hmph, you just wanted me to sleep in," Zhang Xiaoxiao pouted. 0

"I didn't; I really was worried about you being tired," Zhao Guangcai clarified. 0

"You did it on purpose," Zhang Xiaoxiao huffed. 0

"Okay, okay, I did it on purpose. Is that good enough?" Zhao Guangcai said helplessly with a smile. 0

"That's more like it," Zhang Xiaoxiao said contentedly. 0

"Do you want to go out for a walk?" Zhao Guangcai asked. 0

"I do." Zhang Xiaoxiao immediately jumped up. 0

Zhao Guangcai lifted Zhang Xiaoxiao off the bed and set her down on the floor. 0

"What are you doing?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked, blushing. 0

"Weren't you the one who said you wanted to go for a walk?" Zhao Guangcai replied innocently. 0

"That doesn't mean you have to hug me," Zhang Xiaoxiao said shyly. 0

"I like hugging you," Zhao Guangcai said affectionately. 0

"Smooth talker," Zhang Xiaoxiao teased. 0

"I only talk smoothly to you," Zhao Guangcai replied seriously. 0

"You're such a chatterbox," Zhang Xiaoxiao said bashfully. 0

"I only chatter with you," Zhao Guangcai laughed. 0

"Hmph, I'm not talking to you anymore," Zhang Xiaoxiao said, turning to walk out the door. 0

Zhao Guangcai quickly chased after her. 0

The two walked along the country road as the sun set, casting long shadows of the two of them. 0

Zhang Xiaoxiao looked up at Zhao Guangcai and noticed how handsome his profile was. He had a high nose, thin lips, sword-like eyebrows, and deep, dark eyes that sparkled with charm. 0

"What's wrong?" Zhao Guangcai noticed Zhang Xiaoxiao's gaze and turned to ask. 0

"You have something on your face," Zhang Xiaoxiao said, blinking her big eyes. 0

"What is it?" Zhao Guangcai asked in confusion. 0

"Close your eyes," Zhang Xiaoxiao instructed. 0

"Why?" Zhao Guangcai asked, puzzled. 0

"I'm telling you to close your eyes," Zhang Xiaoxiao pouted playfully. 0

"Okay." Zhao Guangcai obediently closed his eyes. 0

Zhang Xiaoxiao tiptoed and gently kissed Zhao Guangcai's eyelids. 0

Zhao Guangcai felt Zhang Xiaoxiao's soft lips and his heart raced with joy. 0

He opened his eyes and saw Zhang Xiaoxiao's face flushed, making her even more alluring. 0

"You smiled; you're really beautiful!" Zhao Guangcai couldn't help but praise her. 0
