Evening.
"Brother Changgui, do you have a place to stay at home?" Qian Baoli asked.
"Yes, but it's a bit simple," Wang Changgui replied.
"That's fine, as long as there's a place to stay," Qian Baoli said.
"Then will you stay at my house tonight?" Wang Changgui tentatively asked.
"Mm." Qian Baoli shyly nodded.
"Let's go to the back mountain then," Wang Changgui suggested.
"Why are we going to the back mountain?" Qian Baoli asked in confusion.
"This isn't a place for talking," Wang Changgui whispered.
"Mm." Qian Baoli nodded.
After they finished speaking, both stood up and walked towards the back mountain.
Zhang Xiaoxiao and Zhao Guangcai noticed and quickly followed.
"Guangcai, what do you think they're going to do at the back mountain?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked curiously.
"I don't know," Zhao Guangcai shook his head.
"It must not be anything good," Zhang Xiaoxiao speculated.
"No matter what it is, it has nothing to do with us," Zhao Guangcai said.
"Mm." Zhang Xiaoxiao nodded.
The two followed Wang Changgui and Qian Baoli from a distance, not getting too close to avoid being discovered.
Wang Changgui and Qian Baoli continued walking up the mountain path until they reached the top and stopped.
"Brother Changgui, there's no one here; let's talk here," Qian Baoli said.
"Okay," Wang Changgui nodded.
"Brother Changgui, I..." Qian Baoli hesitated to speak.
"Baoli, just say what you want to say," Wang Changgui encouraged.
"Brother Changgui, I like you, and I want to marry you," Qian Baoli said, gathering her courage.
"Baoli, do you really want to marry me?" Wang Changgui asked in surprise.
"Yes, I do," Qian Baoli nodded vigorously.
"Hahaha, that's great!" Wang Changgui exclaimed excitedly.
"Brother Changgui, my parents are coming back today. I want to take you home to meet them first thing tomorrow morning," Qian Baoli said.
"Going tomorrow? Isn't that a bit too fast?" Wang Changgui replied in astonishment.
"It's not too fast, Brother Changgui. We can't delay our marriage any longer," Qian Baoli said seriously.
"But..." Wang Changgui hesitated.
"Brother Changgui, do you not want to marry me?" Qian Baoli asked, feeling wronged.
"No, of course I want to marry you. It's just that I feel we don't know each other well enough yet," Wang Changgui explained.
"Brother Changgui, we've known each other for so long. Isn't that enough?" Qian Baoli questioned.
"Baoli, please don't be upset. That's not what I meant," Wang Changgui hurriedly clarified.
"Then what do you mean?" Qian Baoli pressed on.
"I..." Wang Changgui stammered, unable to find the words.
"Brother Changgui, are you still thinking about Chen Shuying?" Qian Baoli asked sadly.
"No, Baoli. I really haven't thought about Chen Shuying. You are the only one in my heart now," Wang Changgui assured her.
"Then why are you unwilling to marry me?" Qian Baoli challenged him.
"Baoli, it's not that I'm unwilling. I just think our feelings aren't stable yet," Wang Changgui explained.
"Brother Changgui, I don't care. I want to marry you tomorrow," Qian Baoli insisted stubbornly.
"Baoli, please stop this," Wang Changgui said helplessly.
"Brother Changgui, just agree to me. I really want to marry you," Qian Baoli pleaded.
"Baoli, I..." Wang Changgui was at a loss.
"Brother Changgui, I'm begging you," Qian Baoli said while pulling on Wang Changgui's arm playfully.
"Alright, I agree. We'll get married tomorrow," Wang Changgui finally relented.
"Really? Brother Changgui, you're the best!" Qian Baoli exclaimed excitedly.
"Baoli, since I've agreed to marry you, can we now..." Wang Changgui looked at Qian Baoli with a lewd gaze, hinting.
"Brother Changgui, what do you want to do?" Qian Baoli responded cautiously.
"Baoli, don't be afraid. I just want to hold you," Wang Changgui said in a sleazy manner.
"Brother Changgui, not yet," Qian Baoli refused.
"Why not? Aren't we getting married?" Wang Changgui asked in confusion.
"Brother Changgui, I want to save the best for our wedding night," Qian Baoli said shyly.
"Baoli, you make a good point," Wang Changgui agreed.
"Brother Changgui, it's getting late. Let's head back," Qian Baoli suggested.
"Okay," Wang Changgui nodded.
Then, the two of them went down the mountain together.
Zhang Xiaoxiao and Zhao Guangcai saw this and hurried down as well.
"Guangcai, they are actually getting married," Zhang Xiaoxiao exclaimed in surprise.
"Yeah," Zhao Guangcai nodded.
"This Qian Baoli is too eager," Zhang Xiaoxiao remarked speechlessly.
"Maybe she really likes Wang Changgui," Zhao Guangcai speculated.
"I don't think so," Zhang Xiaoxiao shook her head.
"Why not?" Zhao Guangcai asked in confusion.
"If Qian Baoli really liked Wang Changgui, she wouldn't be so eager to marry him," Zhang Xiaoxiao analyzed.
"Why do you say that?" Zhao Guangcai questioned.
"Think about it. If Qian Baoli truly loved Wang Changgui, she would hope that he loves her as much as she loves him, rather than rushing into marriage for some reason," Zhang Xiaoxiao explained.
"Yeah, that makes sense," Zhao Guangcai agreed.
"So, this Qian Baoli must have an ulterior motive," Zhang Xiaoxiao concluded firmly.
"No matter what her motive is, it has nothing to do with us," Zhao Guangcai said.
"Right," Zhang Xiaoxiao nodded.
