"Fire starter, exchange successful, one system point deducted," the system reminded.
"Got it," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied.
After successfully exchanging for the fire starter, Zhang Xiaoxiao took it to the kitchen.
"Are you sure this can start a fire?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked skeptically.
"Of course," the system responded.
"What should I do?" Zhang Xiaoxiao inquired.
"You need to first..." the system began.
The system went on for quite a while, leaving Zhang Xiaoxiao confused.
"What did you just say?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked, puzzled.
"Didn't you hear clearly?" the system replied helplessly.
"Um," Zhang Xiaoxiao acknowledged.
"I'll say it again," the system said with resignation.
"Okay," Zhang Xiaoxiao responded.
"You need to first..." the system repeated.
The system continued explaining, but Zhang Xiaoxiao still didn't understand.
"You still haven't gotten to the point," Zhang Xiaoxiao complained.
"I've been very detailed," the system said, feeling frustrated.
"I know you're detailed, but I don't understand," Zhang Xiaoxiao admitted helplessly.
"So what do you plan to do?" the system asked, feeling a headache coming on.
"I don't know either," Zhang Xiaoxiao said gloomily.
"Forget it, I'll handle it," the system conceded.
"You will?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked in surprise.
"Yes," the system confirmed.
"How will you do that?" Zhang Xiaoxiao questioned in confusion.
"I'm a system; I can't start a fire for you," the system said, feeling downcast.
"But you just said you would come," Zhang Xiaoxiao pointed out.
"What I meant was, I'll find you a helper," the system clarified.
"You should have said that earlier," Zhang Xiaoxiao remarked disdainfully.
"You didn't ask," the system replied defensively.
"Alright, hurry up and find someone," Zhang Xiaoxiao urged.
"I'll go right now," the system replied.
After saying this, the system went to the shop to find a cheat.
Zhang Xiaoxiao waited for the system in the kitchen, feeling somewhat sad.
The system was a product of high technology, possessing many functions, but it lacked a physical entity. It was merely an illusory existence, devoid of emotions and thoughts, only capable of executing programs. Once the task was completed, she would return to the real world, while Zhao Guangcai would just be a string of data.
Thinking of this made Zhang Xiaoxiao's mood heavy.
"What will happen to me after I complete the task?" Zhang Xiaoxiao suddenly asked.
"What do you mean by 'what will happen'?" the system replied, confused.
"Will I go back?" Zhang Xiaoxiao inquired.
"Of course," the system assured her.
"How long will my world have passed when I return?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked.
"It won't have passed at all," the system affirmed.
"Why not?" Zhang Xiaoxiao questioned, puzzled.
"Because the world where you complete your task is just virtual; it won't affect your world," the system explained.
"I see," Zhang Xiaoxiao said, feeling relieved.
"Don't worry," the system comforted her.
"Okay," Zhang Xiaoxiao responded.
"I found a cheat!" the system exclaimed excitedly.
"What cheat?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked curiously.
"Fire Spell," the system said happily.
"Fire Spell?" Zhang Xiaoxiao questioned in confusion.
"Yes, as long as you silently chant Fire Spell, you can create fire out of thin air," the system explained joyfully.
"That's amazing?" Zhang Xiaoxiao said in surprise.
"Of course," the system replied proudly.
"How much does this cheat cost?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked.
"It's not expensive, just three system points," the system said casually.
"Three system points?" Zhang Xiaoxiao exclaimed in shock.
"Yes," the system confirmed.
"You call that not expensive?" Zhang Xiaoxiao said angrily.
"This cheat is very powerful; it can not only create fire but also absorb lightning," the system boasted.
"Absorb lightning?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked, confused.
"If someone strikes you with lightning, you can use this cheat to absorb the electricity," the system explained.
"Why would I want to absorb lightning?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked, confused.
"Of course, it's to save your life," the system replied matter-of-factly.
"I'm not stupid; why would I let someone strike me with lightning?" Zhang Xiaoxiao retorted.
"Can you guarantee that you'll be safe at all times?" the system asked seriously.
"I..." Zhang Xiaoxiao hesitated.
"Think about it," the system suggested.
"I'll exchange for it," Zhang Xiaoxiao decided.
"Great, I'll exchange it for you right away," the system said excitedly.
As soon as the system finished speaking, Zhang Xiaoxiao received the instructions for using Fire Spell.
After reading the instructions, Zhang Xiaoxiao began to use Fire Spell. She first placed some firewood into the stove, then silently chanted Fire Spell to ignite the wood.
Once the wood was lit, Zhang Xiaoxiao let it burn on its own.
"Mission accomplished," Zhang Xiaoxiao said happily.
"Congratulations," the system congratulated her.
"I'm going to wash rice," Zhang Xiaoxiao said.
"Are you making rice?" the system asked curiously.
"Yes," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied.
After saying that, she went to wash the rice.
Once the rice in the pot started steaming, Zhang Xiaoxiao began preparing to stir-fry.
"What are you going to stir-fry?" the system asked curiously.
"Stir-fried pork," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied simply.
"How are you going to do that?" the system inquired further.
"First, cut the meat," Zhang Xiaoxiao said briefly.
After that, she picked up a knife to cut the meat.
Since Zhao Guangcai was not around, Zhang Xiaoxiao had to cut the meat herself.
After much effort, she finally finished cutting the meat. Although it didn't look great, at least it was done.
"Finally finished cutting," Zhang Xiaoxiao sighed.
"It's just cutting meat; is it really that hard?" the system asked in confusion.
"Of course it's hard," Zhang Xiaoxiao affirmed.
"Why?" the system asked curiously.
"Guangcai is not here, so I have to cut it myself," Zhang Xiaoxiao said gloomily.
"Ah, so it's because Zhao Guangcai is not around," the system replied with understanding.
"Yeah," Zhang Xiaoxiao responded.
"Do you want to take the meat outside and let the dogs eat first?" the system suggested.
"No way," Zhang Xiaoxiao refused.
"Why not?" the system asked in confusion.
"Dogs can't eat seasoning," Zhang Xiaoxiao said seriously.
"How do you know?" the system inquired curiously.
"Guangcai told me," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied simply.
"I see," the system acknowledged.
"I'll leave the meat here and give it to them when they come back," Zhang Xiaoxiao decided.
"Okay," the system agreed.
Zhang Xiaoxiao left the meat and then started cooking.
She heated a large pot and poured in some cooking oil.
Once the oil was hot, Zhang Xiaoxiao added the chopped meat into the pot.
As soon as the meat hit the pot, it sizzled violently.
Hot oil splattered everywhere, and Zhang Xiaoxiao jumped back in fright.
"That was close," Zhang Xiaoxiao said with relief.
"Are you okay?" the system asked with concern.
"I'm fine," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied.
"Maybe you shouldn't cook anymore," the system suggested.
"No way," Zhang Xiaoxiao refused again.
"Why not?" the system asked in confusion.
"Guangcai will be back soon, and I want to make a meal," Zhang Xiaoxiao said earnestly.
