Jian Chen and Xing Hao are having breakfast. But Jian Chen seems distracted.
Xing Hao looks at Jian Chen eating hesitantly and asks, "Hey, what's wrong with you? Eating and then not eating, it's making me lose my appetite."
Jian Chen frowned, hesitated for a moment, and said, "I'm wondering if I ordered too little takeout, whether it will be enough for her to eat."
Xing Hao was somewhat surprised. He hadn't expected Jian Chen to be pondering such a question while having breakfast. Xing Hao couldn't help but laugh, "I thought you were thinking about something serious. You ordered takeout for Xu Yi, what did you order?"
Jian Chen sighed, "I just ordered a bowl of plain congee and hot milk."
Xing Hao patted Jian Chen's shoulder, "Haha, it's quite rare." Then he shrugged and smiled. He looked at Jian Chen and noticed his worried expression, so he comforted him, "Why are you so worried about Xu Yi's diet? Can't she take care of herself?"
Jian Chen sighed, "She has a fever, and I'm worried that she won't eat enough or eat well."
Xing Hao couldn't help but laugh, "Oh, I remember now, that's why you were so distracted yesterday. But you don't need to worry too much. If you're afraid she won't eat well, you can ask her more, see what she wants to eat, and then get it for her."
Jian Chen smiled and said, "Yeah, I'll ask her next time and see what she likes to eat."
Xing Hao saw Jian Chen smiling and thought that Jian Chen was really into it, and said, "Hey, let me tell you something."
Jian Chen frowned and looked at Xing Hao with a mysterious look, and said somewhat puzzled, "What's the matter?"
Xing Hao leaned in close to Jian Chen and whispered, "You've fallen for it!"
Jian Chen was taken aback and looked at Xing Hao with surprise, "What did you say? I've fallen for what?"
Xing Hao nodded and said seriously, "Yes, you have. It's obvious that you have developed genuine feelings for Xu Yi, stirred by her unusual behavior."
Jian Chen sneered after listening, "Nonsense! She's my girlfriend. I didn't fall for her, did I fall for you?"
Xing Hao patted Jian Chen's shoulder and said earnestly, "That's not what I mean. Think about it, after you two got together, isn't there a big difference in her behavior towards you compared to before you two met?"
Jian Chen impatiently replied, "No, it's the same as before."
Xing Hao said, "Think carefully about it."
Jian Chen looked at Xing Hao helplessly, "Alright, alright, I'll think about it carefully."
He recalled every little detail with Xu Yi, those heartwarming moments, the times they shared their innermost thoughts, and the moments filled with laughter. These memories made him realize that his feelings for Xu Yi had indeed deepened compared to before.
"We are indeed closer than before," Jian Chen said with some emotion.
Xing Hao looked at Jian Chen, who finally reacted and said, "Have you figured it out now? Do you understand what I meant?"
After hearing this, Jian Chen fell silent for a moment. Xing Hao's words made him start to think seriously. He recalled when he first met Xu Yi, although they had feelings for each other, they did not miss and care for each other as frequently as they do now.
"Indeed, my state with Xu Yi is a bit different from before," Jian Chen admitted.
Xing Hao continued, "This is because the feelings between you have deepened. You rely on each other, confide in each other, and have become an indispensable part of each other's lives."
Jian Chen suddenly felt confused after hearing this, "Hey, wait a minute. Didn't you say you don't really understand emotions? But I feel like you understand them quite well."
Xing Hao He chuckled, "That's why they say you're caught up in it. You're too close to see clearly, while I have a clear view as a bystander."
Jian Chen After hearing this, couldn't help but laugh, "You're right."
