In the night sky, the scent of dust and bullets intertwines. The robot goes mad, shooting at Ren, bullets spraying from its gun with deadly intent. The massive robot relentlessly fires at him, each shot accompanied by tremendous force, causing rocks and soil to fly. But what oppresses him even more are the two rocket launchers on the robot's back, representing destructive firepower. At this moment, the two rocket launchers on the robot's back have been adjusted to the optimal shooting angle, aimed at his position.
Ren quickly draws a submachine gun from his waist, aiming at the visual chip on the robot's head and opens fire. The bullets hit several chips, causing temporary malfunctions and reducing its shooting accuracy. This gives Ren a moment to catch his breath. Seizing this opportunity, he quickly activates his Artificial eye, which begins to emit a special blue light, a series of codes rapidly scrolling in his line of sight. He is attempting to hack into the robot's system to control or at least temporarily disable it.
However, when Ren attempted to break through the robot's defense program, the Safety Supervisor's drone appeared once again above his head. The drone hovered in the air, like a fierce beast, lowering its head to scrutinize its prey. The voice of the Safety Supervisor once again came through its broadcaster: "Do you think you can easily hack into my robot? This is not a toy that you can easily manipulate." As he spoke, a high-speed machine gun suddenly extended from the bottom of the drone, and a barrage of steel bullets began to rain down on Ren.
Ren immediately rolled to the nearby ruins, knowing that it would be difficult to hack in under this double attack. He quickly thought, searching for the next step in his strategy.
Ren took a deep breath, feeling the adrenaline coursing through his body. He knew that facing a situation with attackers, relying solely on a firearm wouldn't be enough to break through; he needed a more cunning strategy. His Artificial eye emitted a faint blue light, activating the hacking mode.
Safety Supervisor was smugly taunting over the broadcast, but amidst the smoke, Ren's Artificial eye suddenly emitted a deep blue light, like a shining star. He sharply focused on the drone's operating system, quickly uploading a short-circuit virus program. In just a few seconds, the drone's lights began to flicker, its movements becoming sluggish and erratic. On the broadcast, Safety Supervisor's triumphant voice abruptly turned into one of rage: "What have you done?! How did you do that?!" He roared in anger, completely caught off guard by the situation. The drone, which had been stably hovering in the air, was now unpredictably swaying, and the machine gun had also stopped shooting.
Safety Supervisor's voice rang out again, but this time it was an angry roar: "You damn Mercenary, I will make you pay for this!"
Seizing the opportunity, Ren quickly rushed out from cover, regaining the initiative. With his submachine gunfire blazing, he unleashed a barrage of bullets like scorching meteors towards the robot. The robot's red eyes flickered with fury as its back-mounted rocket launcher slowly rose, heralding an imminent explosion.
However, at the moment of the rocket launch, a huge shadow rushed from behind the robot. The dilapidated Pallet charged at the robot like a fierce lion at full speed. The robot was hit and flew into the air, then crashed heavily to the ground, sparking a burst of flames.
The front window of Pallet slowly slid down, and Lysias stuck his head out, taunting, "Looks like you need a little rest, tin head."
Lysias compared hand signals, urging Ren to quickly get in the car. Pallet reversed, and Ren ran to the passenger seat. Lysias immediately stepped on the gas, swiftly escaping from Kang Tao. Ren's heart was still pounding from the excitement just now, sucking in the cold air, about to say something, but was interrupted by Lysias' tight grip on the steering wheel and the swiftly passing night scenery. Pallet's engine roared, and as he looked back, Ren also noticed the giant figure of the robot.
"It's impossible!" Ren cursed, "How could that guy catch up so fast?"
Lysias glanced at the rearview mirror, a hint of tension flashing in his eyes. "The tracking and speed capabilities of these new robots are surprisingly strong. We cannot underestimate them."
When they heard the sound of machine guns starting, Lysias shouted, "Get down!" As his words fell, the bullets rained down on Pallet, the sound of impact and metal collision seeming to tear the whole vehicle apart.
Ren tightly grasped the handle of the car door, huddling between the seat and the dashboard, silently repeating to himself, "Hold on, I must hold on..."
Night City, a city that never sleeps, in this land of prosperity and illusion, the streets are filled with chaos and danger. Pallet sped through the night, the vibration of the vehicle and the fluctuations in speed making the atmosphere inside even more tense.
"Screech—" Every time Pallet hits an obstacle, the car emits a wail, as if protesting against this mad escape. But with each impact, it tells Lysias and Ren how close death is.
The dim streetlights flash by like shooting stars outside the car window, each seemingly trying to illuminate this chase between life and death. The towering buildings of Night City quickly recede from their view, proving their speed but also warning them of the city's lurking dangers.
"This damn city!" Lysias gritted his teeth, feeling a surge of anger, "Is there any way to temporarily shake them off?"
Ren frantically rummaged through his backpack, finally finding a tear gas grenade in his hand. After quickly assessing the surroundings and confirming the direction, he suddenly opened the window and hurled the tear gas grenade towards the rear.
tear gas grenade The moment it touched the ground, a dense white smoke quickly burst out, shrouding the entire street in a white mist, as if covered by a mysterious veil. In the smoke, the red eyes of the robot seemed to lose direction, its shooting became aimless, bullets flying everywhere, but luckily, none hit the target.
Ren and Lysias seized this brief moment to increase their speed to the extreme, trying to increase the distance between them and the robot. The smoke gradually dispersed, but both of them knew that this was only a temporary calm, and they had more crises waiting for them.
