"Grandpa, thank you for buying clothes for Yin Yin." All the way, Yun Zhongzi doted on Fengyin, buying her whatever clothes were in fashion, ensuring she had everything for spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Of course, Old Zhang also prepared some things, but compared to what Fengyin received, it was hardly worth mentioning. Now they had no choice but to hire a carriage for transportation because they had bought too many items. 0

Fengyin's little face turned red, and she was so moved that she almost cried. Old Zhang also had red eyes; although the master didn't say much, he was still very good to him. Compared to their past experiences, they were now incredibly happy. 0

Yun Zhongzi smiled kindly; this little girl was so easy to please. 0

Now, Fengyin, although her hair was still down because neither of the two old men knew how to tie it up for her, was dressed in a completely new outfit. It was no longer the boyish clothing she wore last night but a white cotton jacket adorned with small flowers and soft fur. The cuffs were made of some animal's fur. Yun Zhongzi had given her a fluffy hat as well. She looked like a little white kitten, all fluffy and cute. She had carefully taken off her gray shoes and tucked them away; she wouldn't wear them again and would keep them safe. 0

Life on Misty Mountain, though isolated from the world, felt like paradise for Fengyin and Old Zhang. There were endless books to read. Whenever Old Zhang had nothing to do, he would brew a pot of wine. He had learned ancient writing styles years ago and now spent his days stroking his goat beard, sipping wine while inventing things. He made saws and would cut down trees to create tables and chairs. In this era, there were no chairs; everyone sat on the ground. Whenever he had free time, Old Zhang would tinker around. Recently, he even managed to make a rocking chair. After finishing his work each day, he would relax in the chair with a book and a drink, humming little tunes. Of course, he also made one of those comfortable chairs for Yun Zhongzi. 0

Initially skeptical about it, once he lay down in the chair, his back pain disappeared, his legs felt fine, and he felt completely at ease. So the two old men would rock in their chairs under the sun, squinting their eyes while chatting happily. 0

In fact, Old Zhang was quite knowledgeable; he understood many things that would be considered invaluable in ancient times. Although he didn't know much about medicine, he was aware of acupuncture points. Having never seen Yun Zhongzi use acupuncture before, he explained the concept to him. Hearing this made Yun Zhongzi's eyes light up; he no longer thought of this old man as just a useless person. So when he wasn't busy with medical research, he would chat with Old Zhang, sometimes even taking him to see his inventions. 0

The two old men lived a leisurely life rocking in their chairs under the sun while waiting for meals. Meanwhile, Fengyin had daily chores like cooking, washing clothes, boiling water—a series of household tasks—while also studying medical texts and taking Hehe, a panda she specially planted a bamboo grove for, out to gather herbs. Later she discovered that this creature's vegetarianism was a facade; it preferred meat. 0

Fengyin's talent in medicine brought tears to Yun Zhongzi's eyes; he finally had someone to carry on his legacy. Thus, when Fengyin turned ten years old, he took her as his apprentice. Now her daily life revolved around serving her grandfather and master while delving into medical studies. She often thought that if she had known medicine back then, perhaps Mute Mother wouldn't have died. 0

Old Zhang also adored Hehe, after all, it was their national treasure. He treated it like a son, providing it with delicious food and drink; he even wanted to share some wine with Hehe, but thankfully Fengyin stopped him. 0

Seven years had passed; Fengyin became less withdrawn but still shy around strangers. Whenever someone came from the mountain, she would hide away; only when treating patients could she face them calmly. 0

There are rumors in the outside world that the miraculous healer, Saintly Healer Yun Zhongzi, has taken on a closed-door disciple. It is also said that there is a Goddess on Misty Mountain, whose beauty is unmatched. 0

"Niuniu, remember to bring a veil when you go out to buy things," Fengyin reminded as she prepared to descend the mountain for daily necessities. 0

"Brother Yun, why don't you teach my granddaughter your Disguise Technique?" Their titles had changed, and they now seemed like old friends. 0

"Old Zhang, can't you change your impatient temperament? I really don't understand how someone as hasty as you can come up with so many inventions," Yun Zhongzi said while reclining in a rocking chair, holding a snuff bottle that Old Zhang had also created. 0

"I'm just concerned about my granddaughter." 0

"Grandpa, I'm heading out now; otherwise, it will be dark when I return." 0

"Take Hehe with you," Yun Zhongzi suggested. 0

"Yes, Master." 0

"Haha, take her along. If you encounter any bad people, let Hehe bite them," Old Zhang said, patting Hehe's large head. 0

Fengyin looked at Hehe, who was lazily basking in the sun. Could it really bite? Indeed, anything produced by Misty Mountain must be of high quality. However, laziness seemed to be a common trait among those from Misty Mountain—except for Fengyin. Without a diligent example, others found it hard to be industrious. 0

Old Zhang was the happiest of all; he never expected to enjoy such comfort in his old age and couldn't help but smile with his eyes squinted. 0

"Thank you. I never thought I could enjoy life at this age. I really want that scoundrel to see how I'm living now," a hint of sadness flashed in Old Zhang's eyes. 0

"Where is your Turtle Son? I'll help you poison him." 0

"You mean my son, Turtle Son? I'm not scolding my old turtle, am I?" Old Zhang's face turned red. 0

"In a fit of anger, I understand how you feel." 0

"Understand what? You don't even have a son." 0

Yun Zhongzi's face turned green; the two treasures were about to start arguing again. 0

"Hehe, stop biting my skirt," Fengyin said softly. "If we hurry, we can buy what we need and still go see Mom. I want to hire a carriage to bring Mom back, but Grandpa said that's not good; it would disturb her sleep." Fengyin walked ahead while Hehe leisurely followed behind. 0

Fengyin checked to make sure her headscarf was on properly. Although she didn't like the feeling of not being able to breathe fresh air, she would definitely follow what Grandpa and her master instructed. Fortunately, the headscarf Grandpa made had a small hook that could rest on her ear, making it easier to breathe. The first time Fengyin went out, Old Zhang had found her a piece of cloth, but when tied at the back of her head, it slipped off immediately because Fengyin had never tied her hair before; her strands were too slippery, causing the scarf to fall repeatedly. Old Zhang then made a hook at the back of the cloth similar to how glasses are designed. 0

As Fengyin entered the city gate, due to Hehe's presence, everyone couldn't help but glance over a few more times. In this era, no one kept pets because their pets were people. As usual, Fengyin headed straight for Yue Lai Inn as soon as she entered the city. 0
