Pervert introduced me to a job, but it only provides meals and no accommodation, so I have to find my own place. As the saying goes, there’s always a way out. I unexpectedly met a “Tycoon”’s Sister, who agreed to take me in. However, as we say in China, misfortunes never come alone—her expression when she saw the folding bed was hard to describe. If it must be, it’s like dipping too much sauce with scallions; I thought I could make do, but when I took a bite, I realized I had dipped into something unpleasant (I hope no one will hit me for this; it’s hard to explain, you all forced me into it. Anyway, I don’t like eating scallions). 0

As someone from the underworld, one must have the courage and integrity of a person from that world. However, coincidentally, I am not one of them. So one of my survival skills is to be shameless. This is the only life skill that Pervert hasn’t taught me but that I learned on my own—under my brazen request, not only did I continue to stay at Lin Miaomiao’s place, but I also helped myself to half of her snacks (the big bag she bought from the cafeteria). 0

Although the folding bed was gone, fortunately, I could still sleep on the floor since the weather wasn’t too cold yet. Having a place to sleep is definitely better than being homeless. 0

Thus, I spent my first day after leaving my master. Although it was a bit twisted, it was quite interesting, wasn’t it? (Interesting my foot). 0

Since I’m used to getting up early to practice, I had already been awake for quite some time when the sun just began to rise. Because I broke my vow last night, my meridians were still in a closed state, and all my energy was blocked at Dantian, unable to flow out—like constipation—I felt that it wouldn’t be long before I could show off my abilities. 0

I stepped outside, facing the morning sun, sat cross-legged, formed a Mao Shi Seal, recited Tao Te Ching, and then stood up to practice a set of Wuqinxi. 0

Pervert usually doesn’t force me to memorize scriptures except for two exceptions: one is Tao Te Ching, and the other is Transcendental Sutra. Tao Te Ching was left by Dao De Zun, one of the Three Pure Ones in Taoism. (Three Pure Ones has many interpretations; here I'm referring to Dao De Zun, which is Laozi, Tongjiao Master, Primordial Lord). Back in the day, Dao De Zun used the alias Laozi and left this Tao Te Ching at Hangu Pass. Since Tao Te Ching is filled with words throughout its pages, it is also called "Three Thousand Words." It is a fundamental text of Taoist Arts. As for the Transcendental Sutra, it's simpler; it's one of the Eight Treasures Mystique, which is essential for my meals. 0

Wuqinxi was left by the medical sage Hua Tuo and is based on traditional Chinese medicine principles. It mimics the movements and behaviors of five animals: tiger, deer, bear, ape, and bird. Pervert uses it to help me strengthen my muscles and bones. It’s a set of movements I must practice before cultivating any Spell. 0

Before finishing Wuqinxi, a strong man ran over from afar. I recognized him as one of Uncle Xing’s Tracking Ghosts. In dealings with me in the future, most matters will be conveyed through these Tracking Ghosts. (Ordinary people cannot see Tracking Ghosts, but my eyes are spiritually attuned; even without activating Spiritual Sight, I can barely see them.) 0

Tracking Ghosts are low-level spirits and cannot speak independently; thus, Uncle Xing sends over a Pouch. Inside the Pouch is a jade pendant formed from magical energy; squeezing it can shatter it. Uncle Xing places messages inside the jade pendant—once shattered, they can be seen. (The magical energy condenses into words in mid-air; only those with spiritually attuned eyes can see them.) 0

As for why we don’t use convenient devices like mobile phones? The reason is simple: because I don’t have one! 0

I took out the jade pendant and squeezed it hard; a string of text floated in mid-air. 0

“Come to the office tonight.” 0

Huh? Why tonight? Am I going to encounter some hidden rules right after arriving? 0

“Yin Zheng'an, you’re up so early?” 0

I had just finished reading an introduction when the door suddenly opened. I reached out and scattered the words in the air, my magical energy automatically transforming into Spiritual Energy and dissipating. Forget it, I'll do it tonight. When I turned around, Lin Miaomiao came out of the room, her ponytail swaying as she wore sportswear and headphones. 0

"So early? Going to exercise?" I casually asked. 0

"Yeah, you’re up early too," Lin Miaomiao replied while yawning. "Want to join me?" 0

"No thanks, I still have some calculations to do... Actually, let's go together!" I initially wanted to refuse, but since I didn't have much to do, I agreed. 0

The morning air was particularly fresh. After running out of the residential area, we arrived at a large park where elderly people were already doing their morning exercises. Good place; I could come here in the future. Lin Miaomiao was stretching against the railing. I hadn’t noticed last night, but it turned out this Sister had a good figure. 0

"Miao Miao, have you practiced something? Your movements look quite skilled," I asked while leaning against the railing next to her. 0

"I've studied dance for eight years and practiced Taekwondo for two years. I'm currently on my way to getting my black belt!" The girl clenched her fist, igniting her fighting spirit. "My goal is a ninth-degree black belt!" 0

"Taekwondo? You mean that flashy martial art where they wear white uniforms and kick? Why bother learning that? There are so many great things in our Chinese culture that no one learns! Girls could learn Wing Chun instead!" I said lazily while doing push-ups against the railing. 0

"Oh, little brother, you know your stuff! How about we give it a try?" Lin Miaomiao said eagerly, lifting her leg higher than my head. "You can only talk if you can beat me!" 0

What's with these Sisters nowadays? They get physical at the slightest disagreement. Why did I even comment? 0

Lin Miaomiao kicked at me with a high kick; it was clear she had put in some effort. Boys typically have a disadvantage when sparring with girls because there are many areas you need to avoid hitting, and how can you really go all out against a girl? 0

Although I wasn't trained in martial arts from a young age, I had been influenced by Taoist Arts. Even though I didn't know Tai Chi well, wasn't using softness to overcome hardness a basic principle? (Of course, that's another story when it comes to someone like Jin; after all, no matter how soft your strength is, it can't withstand an excavator.) It felt a bit embarrassing to use softness against a Sister, but it was the only Chinese martial art technique I knew even a little. 0

As Lin Miaomiao attacked me with a high kick, I sidestepped and grabbed her kicking foot, using leverage to throw her off balance. Standing on one leg, she immediately lost her stability. I pulled her leg back gently to help her regain balance. Unexpectedly, this Sister wasn’t satisfied; once she steadied herself, she executed a low sweep kick. I simply squatted into a horse stance; Lin Miaomiao's leg struck my leg directly. As expected of someone with a red-black belt—her strength and precision were impressive—but unfortunately for her, she was up against me. The punishments from Pervert were monotonous and boring; it always involved squatting in horse stance. Yet since I was quite mischievous, despite not having trained in martial arts, I had developed a very solid base. 0

"Ouch!" Before I could even shout in pain from being kicked, Lin Miaomiao exclaimed first: "I can't believe this! How can I not beat you, a Taoist who has lost his magical power!" 0

Lin Miaomiao didn't even bother to kick; she threw a straight punch right at my face. I was so immersed in the joy of squatting in a horse stance that I didn't react in time. At that moment, I finally understood what it meant to have peach blossoms blooming all over my face. 0

How embarrassing! I am an intern at the Heavenly Bureau of Human Affairs and a member of the Reserve Celestial Class! I actually let my guard down and got hit by a Sister. How humiliating! Thinking about this made my Primordial power nearly explode! Unfortunately, it seemed I had activated the wrong ability; my Primordial power manifested in the amount of blood I was losing. In an instant, blood flowers appeared on the ground. 0

"Are you okay?" Lin Miaomiao stopped her attack and asked with concern. 0

"I'm fine, I can still control it." If I still had my magical powers, I could have stopped the bleeding in a week. Unfortunately, without my powers, I was no better than an ordinary person. "Was it really necessary to be that harsh? I've been letting you win!" 0

I guess my emotional intelligence is low; how could I speak the truth at a time like this? Sure enough, Lin Miaomiao's pretty face suddenly turned cold. 0

"Hmph, let's go again!" Lin Miaomiao took her stance again, ready for another round. 0

"Alright, fine! I'm scared of you now. Let's just go have breakfast!" I suggested. 0

"No way!" 0

"I'll treat you!" 0

"Okay!" 0
