Jenny's lips trembled slightly as she looked at me in disbelief, her fists clenched so tightly that her fingertips nearly dug into her flesh. Li Ming, in a panic, glanced at President Wang, beads of sweat forming on his forehead as he stammered, "President Wang, you, you have to let me explain, it's not like that..."
President Wang snorted coldly and slammed the documents in his hand onto the table, scattering them everywhere. "Not like that? Then tell me, how is it?" He pointed at Ye Jiajia. "She's just a young girl; does she really need to scheme against you?"

"I had high hopes for your project, but I never expected you to be such people! I will report this matter truthfully to Manager Jiang; how she handles it is her business."
With that, President Wang ignored the pale-faced Li Ming and Jenny and strode out of the private room.
I watched President Wang's departing figure with a barely noticeable cold smile on my lips. Then I feigned weakness and leaned against the table to stand up, saying to Li Ming and Jenny, "Mr. Li, Secretary Zhen, I'm feeling a bit unwell; I'll be leaving now."
After saying that, I stumbled out of the private room.
As soon as I stepped out, I saw Jiang Yan standing by the window at the end of the corridor, her silhouette forlorn. I took a deep breath to calm myself and pretended to be drunk as I staggered toward her.
"Manager Jiang..." I approached Jiang Yan and gently called out.
Jiang Yan turned around and looked at me with surprise on her face. "Jiajia? How did you get this drunk?"
I smiled hazily as if under the influence. "It's nothing; I'm just happy and had a few too many drinks."
"Happy?" Jiang Yan looked at me in confusion. "What’s there to be happy about?"
"Of course I'm happy! President Wang agreed to our collaboration and even praised my abilities!" I swayed slightly as I spoke. "Manager Jiang, don't you think I'm quite impressive?"
Jiang Yan looked at me with a helpless smile, "Yes, yes, yes, our Jiajia is the best."
I leaned against Jiang Yan and pretended to be confused, saying, "Manager Jiang, why do you think Mr. Li and Secretary Zhen haven't come back yet?"
Jiang Yan's expression changed slightly, "They should be discussing something."
"Discussing something? What could they possibly be discussing behind your back?" I asked innocently.
Jiang Yan fell silent, recalling the anxious look on Li Ming's face when he answered the phone earlier, feeling a vague sense of unease.

"They mentioned me? What did they say?" Jiang Yan pressed.
I feigned deep thought, "I didn't hear clearly, but it seemed like they said... said you..."
I deliberately trailed off, keeping Jiang Yan in suspense.
"What did they say about me?" Jiang Yan asked eagerly.
I bit my lip as if I had made a decision and whispered, "They said you are too domineering to be a boss, and they also said..."
"And what else?" Jiang Yan's voice trembled slightly.
I looked up into Jiang Yan's eyes and said slowly, word by word, "They also said... they want to kick you out of the company!"
Jiang Yan looked as if struck by lightning, her face instantly turning pale...
