After the stone coffin disappeared, several people returned to the dense forest they had just left. The cultivators controlled by the Soul Ripper seemed to be further corrupted, their appearances becoming more like that of the Soul Ripper and less human. Seeing this, the Soul Ripper immediately swung his claw, sending black Spiritual Energy mixed with toxic green saliva scattering everywhere. Void Night nimbly dodged while using the bell as a medium to cast the Nine Nether Spirit Control Technique, summoning countless ghostly blue lights that transformed into spiritual arrows shooting towards the Soul Ripper.
The Soul Ripper let out a piercing laugh as he fought against Void Night while commanding the controlled cultivators to join the battle. Although those cultivators were no longer human, they still retained high combat abilities and began casting spells one after another, launching various techniques at Void Night.
One cultivator unleashed a fire spell, with flames dancing wildly towards Void Night. He snorted coldly, forming a seal with his left hand and shouting, "Ethereal Ice Seal!"
Chill spread outwards as the flames instantly froze into ice crystals that fell to the ground. Another cultivator wielded a spear, its light piercing like a rainbow directly at Void Night. He flickered away, slashing horizontally with his long sword while shouting, "Soul Severance!"
The sword light was like frost; the spear shattered instantly as its wielder was forced back by the sword energy. More cultivators launched their attacks as Void Night coldly laughed and continuously cast spells to repel them one by one.
"Is that all you've got?" Void Night mocked while fighting. "Soul Ripper, do you think you can stop me with these weaklings?"
Soul Ripper was furious and chanted again, "Wraiths devour the body, transform ghosts into soldiers!"
Its figure instantly split into countless smaller Soul Rippers, which burrowed into the bodies of the controlled cultivators. The cultivators' bodies began to deform, growing sharp claws and becoming more ferocious and violent.
Void Night showed no fear and chanted another spell, roaring, "Nine Nether Hell, Sealing Spirit's Absolute Shadow!"
Complex runes appeared on the ground, and a ghostly blue light enveloped the area. The cultivators controlled by the small Soul Rippers began to slow down under the pressure of the rune formation. However, they still lunged fiercely at Void Night.
With a cold smile, Void Night swung his sword at the charging cultivators. As the blade passed through, the ghostly blue light carried the power of the Nine Nether Spirit Control Technique, repelling the cultivators one by one. Whenever they got close, Void Night effortlessly countered them with different techniques.
One cultivator raised his staff high and unleashed the Thunder Technique, lightning flashing as it struck toward Void Night. Void Night snorted coldly and formed hand seals: "Nine Nether Thunder, never to return!"
A bolt of lightning descended from the sky, obliterating that cultivator. Void Night continued to taunt, "Soul Ripper, is this all you can do? You and your pack of lackeys can't stop me!"
Soul Ripper was infuriated and screamed madly, "Void Night, I will make you pay!"
Seeing this, Void Night no longer held back and unleashed a powerful formation from the Nine Nether Spirit Control Technique. Complex runes emerged on the ground again, and ghostly blue light enveloped the area once more. The cultivators controlled by the small Soul Rippers began to slow down under the pressure of the rune formation.
Void Night roared and pushed forward with both hands. Countless ghostly blue blades shot out from the formation toward Soul Ripper's main body. Caught off guard, Soul Ripper was hit by the blades and let out a painful howl. However, it quickly adjusted and gathered powerful spiritual energy to confront Void Night.
The two powerful forces collided in the night sky, producing a deafening roar. Void Night felt Soul Ripper's tenacity and couldn't help but admire it secretly; however, he knew that this battle must come to an end and could not be delayed any longer.
Void Night once again unleashed the Nine Nether Spirit Control Technique, this time utilizing the full power of the stone coffin. The stone coffin behind Void Night shone with a brilliant azure glow, transforming into a massive wave of spiritual energy that surged toward Soul Ripper. Upon seeing this, Soul Ripper let out a terrified roar, but it was too late to evade, and was engulfed by the enormous wave of spiritual energy.
As the wave of spiritual energy spread, Soul Ripper was knocked to the ground, incapacitated. The controlled cultivators also fell to the ground, losing their ability to move.
Void Night gasped for breath as he looked at the defeated Soul Ripper, a cold smile appearing at the corner of his mouth: "Ugly monster, I told you, this time I won't seal you; I'll just devour you to replenish myself!"
With that, Void Night waved his hand and swallowed Soul Ripper whole, turning it into his own nourishment.
Li Ye regained control of his body and surveyed his surroundings, feeling a surge of emotions.
