"Miss, please eat slowly and be careful not to choke." The maid watched her eat, a stark contrast to her usual image, and handed her a glass of milk to prevent her from choking.
"Thank you!" Although she hated that demon so much that she wished to tear him apart, the maids here took good care of her. They did everything for her, from bathing and dressing to preparing food.
Just as she finished speaking, she actually choked. A piece of food lodged in her throat, making her face flush with discomfort. The maid was startled and immediately urged her to drink the milk to help swallow it down, but it seemed ineffective. She felt increasingly uncomfortable, and her breathing became rapid.
"What should we do? What should we do?" The maid panicked and began to pat her back vigorously, urging her to drink water to push it down. But she felt so awful; oh God, her chest felt tight, as if she really couldn't catch her breath.
After finishing the signing of Monica's documents in the afternoon, Rafas went back to the base. As soon as he entered the door, he saw a room full of flustered servants. With a commanding voice, everyone finally noticed their master had returned. Not wanting to get into trouble, the servants who had just gathered in the dining room were now reduced to just two maids attending to Wushuang. Upon seeing their master return, they immediately knelt on the ground. "Master, Miss choked while eating. We hope you can forgive us; we will be more careful in the future."
Rafas didn't even glance at the maids on the floor. His sharp yet alluring eyes turned towards one of the women. His brow furrowed slightly as he stepped forward, lifted her up, and began to pat her back forcefully.
Yan Wushuang felt even worse with his actions; his solid shoulder pressed against her stomach, making her feel nauseous. Damn it, he kept hitting her back forcefully. She couldn't hold it in any longer; a sour sensation surged in her throat as she expelled the food that had choked her earlier.
Seeing their master force the young lady to expel the food made the maids think that as long as she was okay, they might escape punishment. But what kind of person was Rafas? How could he possibly have an ounce of compassion? His cold voice slipped through his lips: "Drag them away and deal with them according to protocol!"
Just when Yan Wushuang felt a bit better, hearing his words made her grab onto his clothes in front of him and ask urgently, "What are you going to do to them? You can't hurt them; it's all my fault! You can't touch a single hair on them!"
Rafas didn't respond to her plea; he merely signaled to the men in black behind him and strode towards his room while holding her. He was barely able to protect himself and had no time to care about others' fates—what a foolish woman!
Back in this room that brought back dark memories for her, she looked up into his eyes. They burned with intense desire. When he saw her dressed in pure white garments, he wondered if she was an angel fallen from heaven. Why did she still look so pure after experiencing his baptism last night? She remained untainted by the muck around them.
Everyone around him might appear innocent on the surface, but deep down they all harbored dark corners in their hearts. Yet why could he not see that darkness reflected in her eyes?
However, it didn't matter. Now that she was in his hands, he would drag her down to hell with him, making her just like himself, wanting all those who thought themselves innocent to become as tainted as he was.
The room had already been tidied up by the maid, showing no traces of the previous night. Rafas threw her onto the bed, lying beside her and holding her close, inhaling the fragrance that emanated from her. He looked at her face, which bore some resemblance to another; in truth, they didn't look much alike at all. But why did he have such a strong reaction that night? Was it his hatred for women?
